The castle-like 5-star property Barony Le Pergole with 3 luxurious villas with 10 non-smoking apartments (each with private entrance from the outside) with terraces and balconies for 1-8 persons is located near the lake (70 m as the crow flies) in the most exclusive district of Lugano- Castagnola-Cortivo at the foot of Monte Brè (mostly sunny mountain in Switzerland) and at the beginning of the romantic riverside path to the interesting fishing village "Gandria".
The extraordinary residence sits on a terraced Mediterranean park with a beautiful panoramic view of Lake Lugano and the nearby mountains, quiet and sunny between a private dead end street and Olive footpath to the interesting fisher's village "Gandria" away from the noise of municipal and cantonal roads.
A green OASIS nevertheless near to center Lugano: 2,5 km.
Shared indoor pool 4 x 8 m (on request and with charge) with 140 m2 sunbathing terraces with deckchairs, parasols and table tennis is in function from June until end of September and can be used by persons/swimmers from 12 years and more. Minors must be accompanied by adults.
Deckchair-mattresses and covers, towels, parasols, ping-pong-utensils are deposited in the small garden house an the communal
terrace below th e indoor-pool for free use as also the washer and dryer.
Because of Corona-Pandemic the indoor pool can be closed upon official prescription at any time.
However, there is withing 130 m on private street and staris down
to the lake a municipal boat- and bath-stage and a small shingle-
beach for sporty people: free of charge.
To the "Lido San Domenico" with swimming in the lake ca. 500 m:
chargeable.

I wouldn’t recommend this property. It didn’t feel like a 5 star setting. It was surrounded by lush plants but I wouldn’t call it a park like setting. The communal terrace felt abandoned without sun cushions or umbrellas or ping pong equipment.
The indoor pool was freezing and not suitable for small children also because the access to the pool was so narrow that my 3 year old panicked trying to reach the pool steps- I can’t imagine that this pool meets current building code.
The interior of the apartment was very dated, beside of the antique furniture- the bathrooms and kitchen including all appliances haven’t been updated in a very long time. We stayed at a 4 bedroom apartment but ended up crammed in 2 bedroom because 1BR didn’t had AC at all and the other one’s AC seems from the 1950‘s .
At check out we got overcharged with our electricity- we were told up to arrival to be charred 0.5 KWh but the hostess charged us 0.6kwh- overcharge of around $ 60.
READ the fine print before you book as I feel there are a lot of hidden costs such as pool, parking and electric that I missed when booking my almost $ 900 a night stay.
