Good sized room, town centre location, parking available, traditional British pub on the ground floor
Nothing really
4.5
Colleagues and assistant manager were really friendly and welcoming. Food was really good. The room and bathroom were spotless. The local cider was great too. Great value for money and really nice setting. Even though it was above a pub there was hardly any noise. I'd gladly stay here again.
Low door frames into some of the rooms/bathroom and the shower nozzle was abit low for me personally but manageable.
4.5
Although the room was small, the bed was exceptionally comfortable and we were provided with large, fluffy, towels. Bathroom was built into the bedroom with a sliding door and frosted glass, unusual but worked very well and the walk-in shower was excellent, plus there was lots of hot water. Breakfast was good. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Nothing.

Great character and charm
The loud macerating toilet went off randomly

The location, the rooms were really nice and spacious
The cost of food and the breakfast was really expensive £14 for a English breakfast

It was very satisfactory for our needs.

The lunch and breakfast were nice and property was clean staff were polite. Room was spacious
We didn’t realise the pub would be shut after 11 when we returned from theatre.
The noise of the toilet flushing was very loud.

Vers gemaakt.
Fantastisch bed, heel prettig liggen, fijne kussens.
Mooie inrichting.

Lovely comfortable bed, lots of space.
Nothing to do with the hotel, but the very loud church bells ringing every hour throughout the night meant we didn't get too much sleep!
3.0
A large room with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was generous and tasty.
The bathroom was tiny with a small bath with overhead shower. It was difficult to get in as the glass on the shower bumped into the basin and could not be opened. Just a shower would be more appropriate here. My husband has mobility issues and could only wash at the basin.
3.5
Staff very friendly .. lovely old building right in the heart of Tenterdon.
Quirky comfortable room
Quite a lot of sloping floors .. that’s ok as an old building it added to the charm.
However, the loo or running water noise was absolutely awful .. kept me awake all night sadly and in the morning we tried everything to stop it. Also very poor shower .. I gave up till I got home sadly.
Such a shame as otherwise a lovely place to stay.
3.5
The location and the character. Excellent breakfast.
The macerator toilet in en suite was very noisy. A couple of things were off the dinner menu (both of which my husband chose and then was told they were off) which wasn’t extensive anyway

Disgusting smalls drains and bathroom dark, mouldy, smelly and with a macerator that was noisy. We complained to the property and to Hush Estates but they could not even be bothered to answer us. The staff were nice the room was fine but the bathroom was unacceptable. It was a hot weekend and the smell was vile the macerator was noisy and worked even for the sink waste . The small was disgusting. The bathroom was mouldy not good enough . The management did not even reply to my complaint.
Good location

Clean, friendly staff
The loud water pump sounds every time you turned the tap on to wash your hands or flush the toilet, annoying!!!
2.0
Breakfast was excellent. The bed was very comfortable.
Too many emails before we arrived - none of which warned us about the noise of the macerator, the intense heat of the hot water, the bath plug that would not stay in the plug hole, the bar that shut for snacks at 8.45 every evening, that there was only one waste bin which we had to request to be emptied on the second morning (no cleaning or replenishment of crockery/glasses etc after our first night (though the duvet on the bed had been pulled up - bed not made). When I requested that our teas and milk be replenished (which hadn't happened) I was told that that had happened, however I insisted and then new stocks were provided! The bathroom blind was dirty and marked and needed replacing. Driving into the Woolpack for the first time from the Main Street was very problematic because the parasols hid the signage and we missed the entrance several times. We found the parking spaces to be uncertain in availability.

The room was too hot and unable to cool it down so had bad night sleep

Great location in the town of Tenterden. Staff exceptional and very polite. Breakfast very good.
Being a tourist town, it's not the cheapest place to stay.

The room was of good size but the bathroom macerator was noisy.
The breakfast was served too late for an early start and rather small.

All staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The waiting staff did their work with good humour and the room was kept clean and tidy by housekeeping.
The very old building was not suitable for some elderly residents, we had to cope with numerous stairs and steps, some poorly lit. The plumbing was very noisy and the bathroom doors gave no privacy. I know that the age of the structure makes it impossible to deal with some of these problems but greater concern for lighting and access and egress is very important especially for older visitors.

I was advised on booking in that I had a key for my room as well as a key to the main door, as there would be no staff on overnight. I hadnt been aware of this on booking otherwise I would have chosen to stay elsewhere. The staff were excellent, as after being shown to my room, I took in what they had said about no-one being present on -site overnight and as a lone female I really didnt feel safe so informed them I couldn't stay and the reasons for this. They then advised they would process a refund for me (which is yet to happen), but they were very understanding.

Lovely old full of character hotel. The bedroom was delightful and comfortable.
Although the bathroom was very clean, modern, a corner bath with hand shower and if one wanted a seat plus lots of towels , the odd very steep slope downwards from the door to the loo made it extremely hazardous when after a shower or bath wet feet on the floor caused slippage and the need to hold on to the wall to prevent falling over.

The room was absolutely perfect.
The location was great
Asked staff if we could check into our room, was told that we could not yet as there were three minutes to go until the 3 o’clock check-in.
Food was ridiculously expensive for what was presented. Service was a lot to be desired. Lunch of buffalo wings with a coleslaw Caesar dressing and Parmesan French fries, no cutlery provided, and had to ask for napkins. Breakfast that was included, not the best also having to ask for sugar for the pot of tea and butter for toast.
On wanting to check out at 10am and settle our bill, we were informed by the member of staff in front of house that was present at the time (apologising that the manager was running a little late) that they did not have the required computer access to check us out, so we would have to wait until he arrive. The member of staff had attempted to contact the manager several times, but was unable to get hold of him on his mobile. We were also informed by one of the guests that they had to let all the members of staff in that morning as they did not have the required keys to get in to the premises. (All guests had a side door key to the premises given on arrival to let ourselves in should we arrive back after the pub had closed)
However, on arrival at approximately 10:15, the manager, who apologised for his lateness, was very amenable to both ourselves and another two guests who were also waiting to check out, asked if we had enjoyed our stay and our about our ongoing journey’s. Unfortunately, as previous landlords ourselves, the only answer I could give was that our room was very nice!

Noisey suite room at top of hotel which I didn't book

Amazing, friendly and accommodating staff that offer a personal touch. The food is amazing. Breakfast selection and quality was second to none. Recommend eating dinner here too.
Don't plan an early night as the pub chatter can be heard in the rooms. But, once the pub closes it's silent. So, stay out/up late and enjoy the pub.

Fuss free check in, we were shown to our room and help was offered with the cases.
