Excellent hotel

This was our second stay. The location has fantastic scenery and the rooms are spacious .
The food was OK but we enjoyed it better last year, especially breakfast.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly and helpful. They re-arranged a room booking for us quickly because the first room we had was unsuitable, after staying the first night of our stay. The hotel is very clean and there is a good sized spa. The sizes of the rooms and bathrooms are very generous. The location is beautiful but not near to any shops or town so you must have a vehicle. The restaurant is lovely and for the price we paid for accommodation and food in the restaurant, we were very happy. Located nearby is the 'Magical Fig Tree Forest' which is absolutely gorgeous, well worth visiting - and free of charge. Go to Cortijo Buho while you are there - a wonderful hawk and owl conservancy centre some 35 minutes drive away.
The signposting on the road as you get near to the hotel really needs to be improved. We were there in broad daylight searching for the place and the signposting was not at all clear. In the end you have to drive down a single track tiny road that is poorly indicated - God help anyone arriving at night time who will struggle even more. We had to ask the owner of a local cafe for directions and found that the entrance to the road was just a few metres away but rather hidden from our sight and not at all obvious. The first room we were put in was directly above the spa. We stayed in December, when it was quite cold outside, however the room was stiflingly hot at all times of day and night even in the middle of winter, we found it unbearable due to the heat coming up from the ground floor spa (saunas, pool machinery etc.). It was a shame because the room was superb - huge and with a beautiful large elevated terrace and nice view.

It's a great place and nice people and gerally good. After all it is "Rural" and some things are different country side and it is expected to be that way. I like the place and would re-visit in case that it's again on my route.
End of season there are always a few things to fix and the sound insulation is generally poor while noisy doors could easily be fixied with a lubricant spray.

The hotel is surrounded by greenery and nature. We enjoyed the pool and the calm and peace you can breathe. The reception and restaurant staff is very helpful and kind.
The cleanliness of the bathroom was not acceptable. We asked to clean the water as it was evident not clean, the cleaner came saying the stains on it did not going away which was not correct. Also we had a disavventure on one early morning of our stay: we waited 1:30h outside, no one opened the door after we tried different time to ring the bell. The reception on that night was asleep. Some precautions cannot be disregarded in a four-star hotel!

Lovely rural hotel. Peaceful amd relaxing. Delightful staff. Great restaurant. Junior Suite was a good size and well furnished. Huge terrace- great views.
Shower was a little disappointing.
The lights kept cutting out both in the Suite and the dining room- very short duration power cuts.

we found everything of high quality in a stunning environment. Staff were nice and friendly and the junior suite was large with a nice sitting area. Unbeatable value

Room size.
Massage
Beds
Check for hidden costs . When spending €340 for a overnight stay with lunch (no alcohol) and a massage each (luckily this was excellent) the spa is a added extra you have to pay for. It is beautiful but that cost should be transparent . Left feeling disappointed . Such a shame as suite was lovely . Food was good for lunch and ok for breakfast. Not worth the money for breakfast.

This Hotel was absolutely outstanding, so much so we decided to stay an extra night. It sits in fabulous countryside amid olive groves and a variety of trees. The rooms are large and ours had a wood burning stove which because it is summer we did not use: we can't wait to return in winter to feel its warmth crackling away on a pellucid December day. Every member of staff we interacted with was kind, helpful and friendly. I just cannot praise this gem of a hotel highly enough!!
Absolutely nothing to complain about!!

The location was great for a peaceful getaway, surrounded by nature. Lovely pool area to relax. Nice dinner, good prices.
Breakfast was a bit of a disaster...a Buffet was served, which in light of Covid, should not be allowed. We didn't even dare eat anything from the buffet. Very slow service for breakfast.
