Not the best parador we’ve stayed in

Couldn’t help but be impressed with the building

The bed was in need of changing as really uncomfortable and the bathroom needs a refit

Nie wieder in diesem Parador.

Die zentrale Lage.

Das durchweg unfreundliche, wenig hilfsbereite und unorganisierte Personal, mit nahezu nicht vorhandenen Fremdsprachenkenntnissen. Mit großer Arroganz wurden Spanischkenntnisse bei den Gästen erwartet.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem Zimmer, ausreichend für eine Nacht.

wir waren auf der Durchreise und haben 1 Übernachtung gebucht. Ohne Frühstück etc.

Leider war die Poolarea noch nicht geöffnet, diese wird erst ab Juni in Betrieb genommen.

Zafra is a worth visiting town; with a lively atmosphere. This to have a rest while travelling to Andalucia.

Good location Beautiful courtyard Guy working in bar was very pleasant and helpful

Bedroom small, gloomy, pokey & tired. not to standard we’ve previously found in paradors - bathroom was bigger than the bedroom!

Attended by surly staff but in a beautiful place.

I expected the full Parador splendour and that is what we got.

the property was fine. the staff less so.

Zafra is quite remote with few attractions other than the Parador. we have a really excellent lunch in the Plaza Mayor

a lovely converted castle but a bit smelly in places.

Great location and easy to get around. The rooms are a bit outdated but spacious. The restaurant was very good and the service friendly and attentive. For sure the parador is an impressive building and has a beautiful court yard with bar. It's certainly a memorable stay!

The beds could have been better and the doors don't close very well.

A super over night stop on our road trip south.

delightful old castle converted into a spacious hotel. we were able to go up on to the ramparts and have panoramic views over Zaffra! Large , comfortable room and characteristic setting.

it would have been good if a light breakfast or tea / coffee had been included.

A great place to stay with plenty of atmosphere.

The hotel is a stunning historical building. The bedroom was large and the restuarant was good.

We were not able to get a double bed whihc we only found out when we checked in.

Superb

We stayed here as the parador is in the old castle. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed looking around the castle ramparts, with the views of Zafra. We were happy to park on the street (white zone) without charge, a short walk away.

A fantastic building in urgent need of a renovation

on our way to Sevilla

All windows have bars. I understand those bars are part of the building but they don’t make me feel comfortable. The parking is somehow difficult, because the hotel has no parking and if you want to park in the hotel surroundings, you need to pay per hour, from 10AM till 10PM. otherwise, you need take your car away from downtown…

the master suite with original features, very atmospheric. also the huge beautiful private terrace.

the good and drink options at the bar / cafe could be improved.

Very nice stay in a historical building!

The hotel is quite charming, with a very interesting history behind. Location is perfect, right in the middle of the medieval town, as well as easily accessible. Large bedrooms, friendly and helpful staff, and overall ambiance, makes it a very nice and recommended stay.

Beds could be a little bit more comfortable, as I personally found the mattress not as soft as I would have liked it :)

Fabulous large room with huge comfortable bed and great bathroom. Restaurant service and food were impeccable both at dinner and for breakfast. Can't fault anything. Wish we had been staying longer.

Would recommend a stay here.

From checkin to checkout all was great. Fantastic room with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast excellent taken outside.

Only one bar staff on duty. And around 6:pm it was very busy with non residents. So service was very very slow.
