I generally only leave reviews when my experience has either been dreadful or excellent. The owners of Hotel Kandahar were, thankfully, amazing.
The location is perfect, with short walks to 3 x different chair lifts. The ski locker room is on the same floor as Reception, which makes the chore of returning and collecting your ski's so much easier.
Warm, clean, friendly, helpful, efficient. Everything you hope for when booking a hotel. Although centrally locatedm there is no encroachment of noise from outside into the communal spaces and bedrooms.
The restaurant is a delight. Breakfast has everything you could want every morning, and more. Waiters/esses clearing your plates as you work through the different types of breakfast, hot buffet, pastries, fruit platters.
Dinner was table service, so refreshing from so many buffet services. Choices of three different starters and mains plus a childs option. Followed by a wast dessert selection to choose from plus yoghurts and icecream.
You can order drinks from the maitre d' and if you choose a bottle of wine and dont drink it all, they keep it for you and put it back on your table for the next night.
Most guests used the hotel lounge to spend time pre or post dinner. Lots of families, sitting together chatting or palying cards etc. Our family fit right in but I can imagine those looking for more to do of an evening, maybe entertainment for you and/or children, this is probably not the place for you.

The hotel was clean and tidy and a good location for skiing.
The staff were excellent.
The breakfast was pretty basic but had most things.
The spa was not free!!!!!!!
The noise from neighours in other rooms was unbearable. Ruined the sleeping each night.

very very cosy, excellent stuff
very nice property, but some things are very out of date or funny
for example coffee machines are veeery old, mattresses are old and hard (very uncomfortable) and there is no bar/cafe service after breakfast and before lunch

The location was brilliant, clean and tidy, great breakfast (miles better than the normal 'continental' breakfast'), friendly staff, great locker room, overall a really good hotel.
It was very hot in the rooms, and the beds were not particularly comfortable

location to slopes
no parking

Spa was nice, approachable stuff and big rooms. Bar very spacious and with nice drinks, gin-tonics especially
Restaurant area is too small for quantity of people in the hotel, breakfast is quite good, simple. Dinners are only from menu with almost only French cuisine, difficult to choose something vegetarian or at least healthy style food, potato is everywhere.
Ski lockers are in cold place with no dryers really working, so was quite unpleasant to find wet boots next morning after skiing.

Great location, just a short walk to the slope, ski locker and changing room leads directly out without having to trudge through the lobby. Breakfast was excellent, very wide choice of croissant, scrambled egg, bacon, fruit, yoghurt, local hams and cheese. Room was very comfortable and hotel was not noisy. Kettle in the room (make your own coffee as the breakfast coffee is terrible).
The dinner was ok, but wasn't knockout (although the presentation was very good) E.g. the thai style noodles were just plain noodles with some peppers and a tiny bit of spice, and most accompaniments were just boiled carrots or green beans) - Don't want to criticize too much as it was acceptable and good value at the included price, but I think if they made an extra push on the dinner, it would really benefit. If we stayed again, would probably go for bed and breakfast, and eat out in the evening as there is plenty of choice around.
The coffee machine at breakfast needs a serious upgrade as the coffee it produces is very weak - coffee coloured hot water

The rooms are very well equipped, bathroom is clean and even has a bath tube. They offer an excellent breakfast & the location is just perfect to jump out of bed and start skiing right away. We were able to take a shower after skiing on the day of check out at an extra bathroom they have availble for customers.

very close to the slopes

Best location in Pas! Great spa, €13 but worth every penny. Breakfast was reasonable with a decent variety. Staff were very helpful with every request.
For a 4 star, I would say the room, although very pleasant, was abit basic. however, value for money wise it was a good place to be.

location and staff first class
nothing really

This Hotel is perfect for everything, the location for the slopes ski to the door, for the bars and restaurants only a short walk. The Staff are friendly always willing to help, the rroms are clean, the beds are comfy, the Spa is clean and very relaxing, the food is fantastic not the average buffet type menu, you receive 3 choices and you food is prepared when ordered. I would recommend this hotel 100%.
There is nothing to dislike

The proximity to the slopes, the friendly staff, we couldn’t have been made more welcome, excellent cuisine with a good choice each evening from local cuisine to traditional dishes. Comfortable good size room for four adults.
Nothing.
