Dramatic location. Great view down to the pool and out across the fields. Hotel has a beautiful courtyard patio and impressive dining room.
Our room was tastefully decorated with a nice window seat to take in the view. It was easy to explore Carmona on foot from the hotel. Bar and dinning room were both good. We enjoyed a club sandwich at lunchtime and had a good meal in the restaurant in the evening.
The sound proofing in the room wasn’t very good. Lots of noise from running water when others were flushing toilets or running taps.
Service at breakfast was poor. I waited ages to order my hot breakfast and when it came it was stone cold.
Coffee in the pot was weak. Disappointed to see plastic pod coffee machines. Not very environmentally friendly. All the yogurt had sweeteners. Selection of fruit was quite limited.

Our GPS took us past the Parador even though we saw a sign that said Parador with a arrow pointing up the hill. Believe the sign!! Very narrow streets leading to the hotel but once past the police station you will know you are on the right trail.
The facility is lovely. The rooms have older, sturdy furniture but super clean and excellent views. Each room has a balcony with table and 2 chairs. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast was buffet and also had menu items. Dinner was wonderful!
The second night we wandered down the street from the hotel and ate at a local restaurant.
The mattresses could be a little more comfortable. They were good but not as plush as I expected.

Alles gut
Zimmer: Beleuchtung und Steckdosenanzahl nicht ausreichend.

Voor het eerst in een Parador overnacht. We hadden 2 nachten half pension geboekt.

Amazing castle converted property with exceptional views of the valley. Neat and clean with amazing facilities.

Great Castle Hotel, location was excellent and the staff were very helpful
Somewhat limited dinner menu. We ordered medium beef loin for two. Meal came out very rare and had to be sent back to be grilled some more. Meal came back cooked better but was quite tough. Breakfast buffet on the other hand was excellent and made up for the disappointing dinner.

Everything went well.Roomy room, great washroom facilities, excellent view.
Just one thing - the dinner menu could have included a wider choice. There was no chicken included.

A beautiful Parador in a wonderful setting with distant views. The building has lots of character and feels quite special. We enjoyed walking around Carmona (the Roman cemetery is fascinating). It is an easy drive into Seville.
The weather! Otherwise very happy.

The rooms have views over the plains of the Guadalquivir near Seville. It proved a useful base for visiting Seville. Carmona is a small town and when we were there a limited range of restaurants. The hotel has a lovely sheltered courtyard where one escape the wind when it is strong.

the drive up to the property was just amazing, and arriving at the gates, wow. Check in was easy, and the room was on the same floor, with a fantastic view. The building and courtyard is just beautiful. We had diner in the evening in the restaurant, again didnt disappoint, the food was of very high quality and lovely presented, the menu had some different options, which was very good.
You must wonder into Carmona and sit in the squares and take in the daily life, and watch the world go by, with a glass of wine, Carmona is very pretty.
It is clear that they are short staffed, it was bank holiday and in the afternoon, they had 2 young lads working a very large area to cover the bar area and terrace, service was very poor, tables were not cleared, orders were taken and not delivered, so we ended up after nearly 1 hour, to leave and wonder into the village. Its a shame, as the paradors are known for their service, its clear management didnt account for the bank holiday.

View was wonderful
On the last two days, we could not get wifi in the room and had to go to the lobby to check emails. We had trouble getting the attention of the wait staff in the restaurant on occasion. On one occasion, we waited almost a half hour to get our bill.

We loved our visit here. The staff were exceptionally helpful with anything we needed. They advised us on local restaurants and booked them for us. I sprained my ankle during our stay and couldn't walk from our car to the hotel. They immediately supplied us with a wheelchair, a bag of ice and advice as to where to get medical help, if needed. The meals were superb and included local dishes. We had an incredible view from our large and spacious room and enjoyed sitting on our balcony in the comfortable garden furniture.
Nothing! It was perfect!

Location and Views are excellent and the Parador building is lovely
Staff are very helpful
Free Parking onsite
The walls between rooms are very thin so a lot of noise transfer from TV and voices

Great communication about staying there. Parking super convenient. Fab dinner menu at reasonable prices for excellent cuisine. Breakfast and view from the table exceptional. Room was large, warm(for a castle in early Jan), comfortable with great view across the plains. Highly recommended.
Ordered gin and tonic in bar.....and they did not stop pouring until you said so.....not a problem, but just beware. Quite a nice shock though.

position
Staff were very unfriendly and rigid. I haven’t had to queue in front of a locked dining room door for breakfast and dinner for many years. It was also very noisy all through the night with barking dogs. I also didn’t appreciate having to pay 24 euros for 2 gin and tonics that I had to queue at the bar for. (And take to our table)

it’s a beautiful site with the restored castle
breakfast was awful - very little choice. no cappuccino, the most awful taste of Americano, little choice, scrambled eggs did not taste good, either. At dinner food was great but slow and inefficient service. Bathtub had someone’s hair, could hear noises from pipes during the night, flush in the toilet did not work well.

The views are incredible. The hotel interiors are really well done. The room was very comfortable … but the view from the room was superlative!

Loved location, town
Food at Parador disappointing. Wish we hadn't booked half board as loads of restaurants within walking distance.

I think this is one of the most historic but cozy paradors in Spain. I’ve been here before and I would come back again. The views from the private balconies are panoramic. The common spaces are beautiful and the rooms are well equipped and beautifully decorated. I feel like I am living in a different century when I come here.

The staff were all pleasant, hardworking and very helpful. The food was outstanding. The bed was very comfortable. Location was great.
I felt the dining area and reception were understaffed.
My room was very poorly lit with almost no natural light coming through. So hard to see things.
it seemed there were a lot of stains on furniture and surfaces. Definitely needs a refresh.

the view is simply fantastic and the pool was super.
