Blissful oasis in the heart of Ao Nang
This hotel is a godsend for anyone who wants to stay in the heart of Ao Nang but also loves nature and sustainability. It's made up of several buildings that blend seamlessly into a tropical forest, home to families of macaques, salamanders, fish, butterflies, small birds, leaf insects, and many other native animals just a stone's throw from your room. Sometimes they even pay you a visit on your balcony! When I stayed, the hotel was undergoing renovations. The Treetop Café and lobby were closed (and the spa looked a bit neglected), but I was lucky enough to have breakfast for the last few days before it closed for renovations at the 'floating' restaurant. It's an open-air spot overlooking a pond where big catfish swim, lulled by the sound of a waterfall. The breakfast buffet is abundant and nourishing, with options for vegetarians, Thai cuisine, continental fare, an egg station, salads, and yogurt with a variety of seeds and toppings. They have machines with freshly ground coffee and organic teas. Above the restaurant, there's a pool overlooking the street, a bar, and a sunbathing area. The deluxe rooms are decorated in traditional Thai style - spacious, cool, with polished marble floors and handcrafted bamboo and fabric objects. They've got all the comforts you need, from TV to decent Wi-Fi and a fridge with complimentary drinks on arrival. Also kudos for the huge desk (a must if you work online), and a gigantic, ultra-comfortable bed. The staff and management are incredibly kind and radiate positive energy. I don't understand the reviews that claim otherwise - I think they're more a reflection of some tourists' ignorance and nastiness. The value for money is incredible if you stay during the low season. I'd recommend staying in buildings 3 and 4, which are the most secluded and quiet.
Unfortunately, it's not the hotel's fault (and I haven't let this issue impact my rating), but from 9:30 PM until 1 AM, you can hear pounding music from a nearby venue that makes it hard to sleep. This is especially true if you're staying in building 11 and the ones nearby, but even the farther buildings are affected (I personally went out to the stairs each night to measure the decibels). This was a big problem for me, and it breaks my heart to see such a peaceful and beautiful place spoiled by someone else's noise. Especially since there's supposed to be a noise curfew after 10 PM. I'll admit this would negatively influence my decision to return if the problem persists, and I hope my comments in this review will help the managers defend their cause and their business. I'd also suggest they mention in the description that in low season the resort is undergoing renovations, and some services aren't available. The pool is only 1.20 meters deep throughout and hot, which makes it difficult to swim. But if you have kids or teenagers, you'll probably appreciate it. Other than that, it was a fantastic stay, and in my opinion this is one of the most beautiful hotels in Ao Nang, if not the best, in its price range.

Kann man gut wählen, wenn die Ansprüche nicht zu hoch sind.
Die Anlage war riesig und sehr schön konstruiert. Pool war in Ordnung und das Zimmer soweit ok. Das Frühstück fanden wir sehr gut. Für jeden was dabei.
