I liked the location of the property. I liked the proximity to rose gardens. Werribee zoo. The local winery and the old mansion house
I didn’t like the food at all. Very unsatisfactory. Oven chips for evening meals. Dried up shrivelled breakfast and no options to eat elsewhere within the hotel
I disliked the pool sauna/steam room. Spa. Gym. This was falsely described. The pool is small. Not very warm. The spa is a very small section of the pool. The steam room is an upgraded shower within a ladies changing room. The fitness gym compromises home gym equipment. Really made more of this than what was actually available
And the greatest dislike was on investigation I noted many reviews with the same statements and promises to rectify which obviously they haven’t bothered to do

Breakfast, surroundings, gardens, ambience, staff.
Quite pricey.

We had a fabulous three night stay at Lancemore Werribee Mansion Hotel commencing midweek that was sublimely peaceful and tranquil, I would highly recommend a midweek stay. The staff at Lancemore consistently go above and beyond to provide exceptional services to their clients. Initially there was an issue with our room and we were upgraded to a stunning quiet room. Very special thanks to Shirley for her understanding and help, not forgetting the wonderful birthday treat. Thank you to all staff for making my special day stay memorable. The grounds at Werribee Mansion are beautiful, all definitely worth a visit.
The music in the restaurant was a little too upbeat at times for breakfast/dinner!

The location of the property is fantastic. It’s vast and lots to look at. Great walks to go on.
The beds were uncomfortable we chose not to stay for the 2nd night (but, in fairness, we only live 50 mins away, so we decided to go home). The shower was over the bath, which was not detailed in the description. The hot water was inconsistant, and the room and bathroom was ordinary. We also felt the place was dirty. The place is so large, but they are understaffed, and it shows with the cleanliness. Just not what we expected.

I loved the historical aspect.
I loved walking around the large property, and some of the gardens.
I loved the Shadowfax winery behind the property.
I loved the Werribee Safari Zoo also behind the property. It was incredible.
Unfortunately the Lancemore Mansion has seen better days. It was once a stunning place to admire. Now - it’s completely outdated and run down. The building itself has not been maintained. When we arrived, we had no idea where the front entrance was as there is “nothing” that indicates, leads or points you to where to go? There was no lighting. No sign. No activity. No one to help you. No staff. When we finally figured out the entrance, it was this enormous empty space with one lady behind the counter. There was no ambience. No energy. Silence. I was desperate to come and decor this place out. It has so much potential. The bar - empty and no ambience. Cheap plastic stools - not inviting at all. The restaurant - empty - with old cafe tables. The food is no longer the quality of what it was. The breakfast - cold and empty. And the pool - an occupational health hazard. Warm, yes. And that was nice. But what are you looking at? The pillars all the way around of concrete that are falling apart, the broken concrete tiles have all lifted leaving concrete sand spilling out from the areas that you have to walk on. And no one cleans it up? It’s stays the same - every single day. A mess? The emergency phone in the pool area is “out of service”? It just all felt sad? And lacking in every area. Have the investors run out of money to fix even what the naked eye can see? Even their main circular garden which should have been a spectacle, was old, outdated and dying… and the fountain in the middle was broken and had grown slummy and wasn’t nice to look at. The place has become completely run down. So for $300+ a night - I expected my room, or the bar, or the food, or the pool area T least to show me what I was paying for? Sadly - it did not.

We’ve been coming to Werribee for a long time and find the location lovely
Everything was great we find it a little expensive to stay all the time there so only stay for special occasions

Over charged for the room and dinner.
Thick Cobwebs inside the room around the windows.
Dusty furniture. Some tv channels had no sound.
Every movie on there cost $16+ and these weren't new movies... they were from the early 2000's.
All round bad experience over priced maybe a 3 star hotel because of where it is.

The food was cold every meal. Room service was even worse.
The bed was so soft I have had to make an appointment to see my Physio, as my back is out.
The staff with the exception of James were shocking. Rude and non-helpful.

We have stayed a number of times at the Werribee Mansion and love it. The grounds and convenience of a number of beautiful attractions makes it a perfect spot.
There were a number of Weddings this weekend and there were delays for breakfast, so that wasn't as relaxing as usual. Perhaps they should schedule a time for large bookings or use another space for their breakfast.

The mansion tour was free with the hotel stay and that was interesting. The gardens are stunning but these are run by a different company not the hotel change!
The wine tasting for shadowfax winery was complimentary with the hotel this was also a nice touch.
The grounds surrounding the property are beautiful but again not owned or run by the hotel change.
The rooms are tiny and not value for money at all, lighting was poor and could hear everything in the next room ie shower etc..
the bar is tiny and not a good selection of drink ie no tap beers.
Staff was not friendly and seemed entitled.

We were welcomed by very professional and helpful team members, particularly the greeter and bag porter who showed us around and explained the facilities. We appreciated our Welcome Drink voucher followed by an extremely enjoyable evening in the restaurant with delicious food and a lovely wine list. The second night we ate more informally in the Bar Lounge and also enjoyed the experience. There is so much to enjoy in the surrounding gardens, rose garden and historic Mansion that our time was too short. The spa and pool facility was excellent. We will definitely be returning.
As the bathroom in the 'original' rooms is quite tight it would be helpful to have a hook to hang a bath towel somewhere close to the shower and maybe a bathrobe.
