Met our expectations having stayed there on two previous occasions.
The double glazed windows in the room were in a bad condition and need attention as we could see through them.
We notified the front desk and they agreed to investigate our complaint.

I am originally from Hartlepool that has worked overseas all my life, it is always nice to come home and I class the Marine Hotel as part of my home when I am visiting, the staff (all the staff) are always happy and helpful and make our stay as
good as possible
Nothing the only problem was that we had to leave to return to Abu Dhabi

Great location
Really noisy , staff made no attempt to quieten noisy guests
6.0 / 10.0
Clean, comfortable and clearly very popular. Well priced.
There was a wedding happening at the same time and unfortunately for us this was a little too disruptive. I travelled with my 6 year old and at gone midnight they were all outside our window. I’m in no means a party pooper but as I was travelling with my young son, had I been told there was a wedding happening I would have stayed elsewhere.

Location good, cotton sheets and good shower
No toilet roll holder in bathroom. Meal first night (lasagne) felt a little pre-prepared and if it had been microwaved.

Friendly reception staff. Basic pub food but well prepared and sensibly priced. Good sized room with all the expected facilities and very clean bathroom.
There was no toilet roll dispenser ?? 3 toilet rolls on a shelf in front of the bathroom mirror, very strange.

The food in the restaurant was exceptional. I was served, by far, the best fish and chips I have ever tasted. So much so, I was tempted to re order on the second day but decided against it. I was not disappointed with the second meal.
breakfast was busy on the first morning and there was only one server. I was tempted to boycott breakfast because of the time it took just to take my order.

we have stayed a few times but didn’t like the fact the heating was on a timer and didn’t come on till nearly six o’clock. we had a winter stay and the room was freezing as we were in the room nearly 4 hours before it kicked in. the staff were good and gave us a portable heater but this should never happen, especially in a suite, you should be able to put the heating on when you want.

The Marine is an old fashioned seaside hotel built in 1900. It has a prime seafront location, and the beautiful architectural details and generous proportions of buildings from that era.
There is good free parking available on site - you just need to enter your registration details at the reception desk.
The rooms are large and clean, if a bit spartan in their furnishings.
The breakfast is generous and good value at £9 for a full English breakfast (including toast, cereal and limited fruit and yoghurt options).
The hotel's decor is dated, and could really do with a revamp. The exterior is in good nick and appears to have been recently painted, but the interior needs redecoration. The bar and restaurant are looking particularly tired - as a large part of the hotel's peak season business is wedding-related, upgrading this would seem an obvious priority, although it may be that such a revamp was postponed due to the knock that the hospitality sector took as a result of COVID.
Our only disappointment was the bed. The bed we had was a standard double bed that was a bit cramped, and seemed particularly lost in such a large room. We ended up in a territorial battle over laying claim to our fair share of the small duvet, and it would be better to have a larger duvet. The pillows had also seen better days, and could do with replacing.
