Disappointed

We booked this hotel for 2 reasons one close to where we had a meeting planned and two it had a restaurant boasted fresh cooked meals. The young lady on check in was helpful in explaining the accommodation. We asked regarding dinner and were advised kitchen closed at 9pm. We let her know we had a meeting and would be back for dinner. On our return at 7.50pm we were informed that kitchen was closed and we couldn’t get a meal. Not particularly impressed with that especially as we had confirmed before leaving. We also only had one towel so request another to find out there was none and we had to use hand towel. The beds little uncomfortable. Rooms good size. Shower door wouldn’t close. Overall disappointing particularly when we have been travelling for 3 months and stayed in many different places.

Couldn’t get a meal after had enquired about closing time of kitchen at check in. No required linens in room.

Bed comfortable. Parking excellent. Food average but good value. Friendly staff Continental breakfast included in price.

Window wouldn't open much for ventilation as no air con. Bathroom needs a shelf for wash bag etc.

Great value for money, very clean and comfy

The hotel was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very attentive, friendly, and helpful! I stayed at the Raven because there was a gig in Raven Hall, it was excellent!!

It could maybe do with some new carpet in the hallway, and a lick of paint would set it right.

Room was clean tidy with a very comfortable bed, Much better than our last stay pre room upgrades.

breakfast was very basic with no hot food options,

No Hot breakfast option although breakfast was included in the price , the overnight price was not cheap when compared to other hotels within the town but the location was within walking distance to the event we where attending.

prior to arriving I was offered free upgrade which was a lovely touch. the breakfast selection was amazing as were the

though a wee bit tired decoratively in general areas, the rooms were immaculate, comfy and exceptional value for money. would certainly book here again because of location, value for money and great customer care.

We loved the hotel, we'd definitely stay again, but longer next time!!

The room was so nice, very large, beautifully tiled bathroom and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room temperature was perfect. They had a continental breakfast laid on in the morning, which was a refreshing change and plenty of choices. The staff were very polite, friendly and very helpful.

I could only say, the location was a bit out of the main town but there were still a varied amount of restaurants and convenience stores. But that was probably more to do with the fact we only stayed one night.

Superb

ALL staff were very friendly, always had a smile for you, nothing was any trouble for them,our room was very clean and comfortable, no complaints from the 4 of us who spent the weekend there.Good bar and restaurant price,if we go back to that area again ,we would definitely book this hotel again.

We didn't mind,but the hotel doesn't except cash ,card only for both bar and restaurant.

Perfect location for where we needed to be. Staff very welcoming and friendly.

Pillows awful. Breakfast was only continental. Was looking forward to an English breakfast! Shower flooded whole bathroom! Bed very squeaky!

I have stayed at The Raven many times and it has always been good, especially the location and the food, but on arrival this time I was told that they were not doing food that night, so had to travel elsewhere to eat.

The restaurant was closed on a Saturday night

Poor shower red hot or freezing cold sash window in room full of wood rot so danger of splinters when using very late breakfast 8am which I payed for but to late to make my meeting
