Scenic Hotel - It has ROOM SERVICE!!!

I've stay at the scenic a number of times, individually and with social groups and the staff are always incredible. They make all the difference and because of them I rank the scenic quite high as a place to stay when visiting Paihia. I had a great check in experience, the bar and wait-staff are so friendly and easy-going and they deliver quickly to you room. THEY HAVE ROOM SERVICE!!! I loved that. The room was clean and close to the pool and dining area. Lots of room to store bags and belonging. The garden flowers/hedge smelt amazing. Parking was easy to find. Did I mention the ROOM SERVICE and you can order drinks to be delivered lol. It's excellent!

The room is very dimly lit, even with the curtains open and all inside lights on. The tv screen is blurry and static-y and there are minimal channels to watch. Was kind of miffed that I couldn't order off the Ala Carte menu but they had a beautiful roasted lamb set menu though.

PAIHIA is lovely. Only a short walk to beach & town. Lovely place.

Garden seat out front was a beaut spot, as our room was compact.

Noisy feet on floor above. Ok except late night.

Very noisy, at least 10 people partying all night. Complained to staff on checkout, and he said he had many complaints and he'll talk to them. Which doesn't do me any good🥱

Would not stay here again

Location was good. Room large.

Check in lady was definitely not welcoming, couldn’t muster up a smile. Made to feel like we were interrupting her day. Our friends checked in later had the same experience. A posse of children and very young teenagers were next door to us. No adult or parent in sight. We had to go and tell them off twice, last time was 11.30pm. Told the “check in” woman the next morning, barely interested.

Insgesamt ok.

Das Frühstück, die Größe des Zimmers und das große Bett waren sehr gut.

Das Bad ist in die Jahre gekommen und könnte eine Renovierung vertragen und war nicht gut gereinigt ( Kaugummi klebte auf dem Boden). Der Duschkopf ist sehr niedrig an der Wand befestigt, sodass normal große Menschen sich beim Duschen bücken müssen.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the beach and restaurants. The staff were friendly.

The beds were not satisfactory due to uneven mattress surface. The dinner menu was had limited options.

Lovely family stay.

Rooms were spacious and close together as per our request. Lots of parking available on-site. Nice gardens. Easy walk to beach.

The room did feel a bit dark and would be nice to have a water cooler near rooms or in reception to self fill drink bottles.

Location is great, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant, loved it. Rooms are good size and easy parking available onsite.

Beds were lumpy and felt old, rooms are a bit dated, room lighting was dark…not all light bulbs were working….

Perfect location. Spacious rooms

Spacious rooms and definitely price well. Also great location to bars, cafe and the beach. Staff were very understanding and helpful.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Bathrooms would really appreciate a bit of an upgrade

everything was good. clean rooms and friendly staff. paid breakfast buffet had good option.

it would have been great if the in room hot plate was also working and had a microwave. Also pool wasn’t heated to enjoy it in cold weather.

Definitely not worth the price

It is conveniently situated

Our room felt damp, and the whole place looked rather tired and in need of refurbishment. Staff were mostly unhelpful, with a couple of exceptions.

Disappointing

The location is reasonably handy to Paihia.

They only serviced the room once, and only because we prompted them to, during our stay. The room smelt of damp from the very beginning, which only got worse as the stay progressed. The younger staff were nice, but the older staff were unaccommodating and sometimes even plain rude.

Great location only 2 mins walk from the beach. Good if you are a family (we were two parents and three adult children).

The pool shuts quite early. We booked two rooms but they were quite far apart from each other. Could do with a mirror and sink in the rooms outside of the bathroom.

Just a quick stay arriving late at night and out first thing in the morning.

When we phoned to ask if there were any rooms, we were told they were fully booked. But then we went on booking.com and booked so not sure why we were told they were fully booked.
