Central location, lovely staff, large bedroom
Hotel is a little tired and in need of some refurbishment. Beds are well used, mattresses could do with replacement.

Location , historical building , gardens , comfortable bed
Although it didn’t concern us our room had 1 wall that had small section of unfinished paint work .

They could improve their breakfast options.

I liked the elegance of this large Hotel, the comfortable rooms and friendly reception staff. The Continental breakfast had great variety and ample and fresh food.
I enjoyed walking around the well maintained grounds and the Hotel was in the centre of town

The location was extremely convenient and there was a tennis court with free rental rackets and balls, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Location
It is is tired, needs upgrading and not value for money.Checked in at 2:00 got keys found rooms were not ready. Then checked out and was told we hadn’t paid our bill had to send proof. Something very wrong. Breakfast was way below par. Needs some management

De locatie.
Dat ze de kamers op onze gang aan het renoveren waren. Het restaurant en bar waren op onze aankomst dag gesloten. Evenals het zwembad gesloten op allebei de dagen.

Location

The location is unbeatable. Wifi is excellent
The Sofa Bed was uncomfortable. You can actually fit 2 beds there instead of a sofa bed. The Hotel was old with creepy pictures of it being used to be a war hospital.
The worst part was the Breakfast. This was written on the booking page:
Continental breakfast is included in the rate. A la carte breakfast is an additional cost.
This was the reason we booked this hotel compared to others. When it's time the breakfast was toasts, jam, muesli, Pastries and juices. If you want the sausages, poached eggs, baked beans this will be an additional $15/person.
Felt mislead by the descriptions.

Everything was as we expected. That said, Hanmer Springs never seems to fail, it is an excellent wee resort & a great escape from 'City Life' & work, of course. 1 thing that is worth mentioning & that is the on-site restaurant, Isobella's which we used for dinner on the Sunday we arrived as it made sense rather than choose another place. Turned out it was the right decision, superb service & food & also excellent value for $$$ which we will definitely use next time, Thanks Guys.....
What's not to like ??? I have no appropriate answer to this question, Sorry.....

Great big bed and a view from the window to the gorgeous gardens below. Perfect for an overnight stop, close to everything (but everything in Hanmer Springs probably is!). Breakfast is a continental buffet with all the usual suspects but perfectly adequate. Proper coffee a bit extra, but definitely necessary.
The climb up the flight of stairs with multiple bags was a bit of a nuisance.
