Location
Thought the room service could have been presented better.

Loved both pools available to us especially the larger private pool with the small beach. Only had breakfast once at the resort and it was adequate but not exceptional. The Chinese restaurant was average but we really loved the Italian restaurant. The pastas were excellent and the setting outside on the veranda was simply magic.

Nicely designed units located around the lagoon pool with option of sandy beach, shade options, deck areas and swim up bar. units were roomy with own balcony, good restaurants located in resort plus option of using infinity pool or Mindil Beach.
A small point but in the unit, the door separating the bathroom area was a heavy self closing door, would be good if it could be kept open so you didn’t have to keep opening it every time you used the bathroom.
The loud music at the infinity pool wasn’t for me but maybe I’m just getting too old, I was happy to relax at the lagoon pool.

Location and layout of the resort was excellent
Disappointed with the lack of room service, had to constantly chase up staff to clean room and get clean towels. In 5 days stay we only had room cleaned once which I feel for a 5 star resort is unsatisfactory.
Lack of bar staff at Lagoon pool, wait times of over half an hr for a drink is not 5 star.

Katie at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction during my stay. Not only did she assist me in changing my room to a better one, but she also showed great understanding and empathy regarding a situation I faced with my booking. She kindly requested to credit me for the night's reservation that I was unable to use, which was greatly appreciated.
Her professionalism, kindness, and dedication to customer service truly made a positive impact on my stay. Please extend my gratitude to Katie for her exceptional service.
I was disappointed with the room I received upon check-in. Despite requesting a room with two single beds and having my son, who lives in Darwin, confirm the request, the two ladies at the front desk initially claimed they had not received it. Eventually, they managed to split a queen bed into two narrow and uncomfortable beds. The room, located on the first floor overlooking a roof, did not meet my expectations. Additionally, the bathroom showed signs of rust, and there were small flying cockroaches present. While I understand that encountering insects near a beach is not uncommon, I suggest the hotel consider renovating the rusty dustbin and toilet brush.

Amazing spot and infinity beats pool was great. Security guard on pool was brilliant.
Staff were very unhelpful and unfriendly.

I liked the Vue restaurant and the room was a good size . Room service was great.
The bed was not comfortable, and the sheets weren't of quality. We were at the motel at 1.00 having lunch and couldn't check-in till after 3pm which was annoying. The boom gate wasn't working to secure our car. It eventually worked so we moved the car. I think $285 is extremely overpriced for a spa room.

Great location. Friendly staff and plenty to do within the hotel. Great restaurants and the Casino was extra special. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Everything was in walking distance and the pool area was fantastic

Room was nice view was great Room service was ok.
No Lagoon pool open not family friendly without the pool. Limited time in other pool not suited for families. You have to pay extra for movies in room.
Lights flashing at the back of TV had to get reception to cover with bandaid.
Bed was ok

The MGM the owner before was many times better than Mindili: the buffet for dining was reach and excellent. Mindili restaurant is poor and close very early, not switable for Casino plaiers.
Casino is very bad compeared to the past.

Excellent location & pool area.
Rooms are old, hotel in need of renovation. Funny damp/mould smell coming through air vents. Lagoon pool was closed for maintenance.

We had a lovely upgraded room with a bottle of champagne on our arrival. It was our 32nd wedding anniversary, so that was a very sweet gesture. I had requested a 'quiet' room because we are bush residents and are quite sensitive to 'urban' noise LOL. The room was wonderfully quiet. We booked into Dragon Court for dinner which was lovely, the food is very good.
Found the included breakfast a bit odd, chose off a menu and apparently it did not include the coffee and we had to pay for our two coffees. Although tea (bags) was included. Would have preferred a buffet type, but that is just my preference. I think I remember the breakfast prepaid was like $29 each. So, really coffee should have been included.

The gardens and staff were lovely and friendly. Unfortunately that’s about it.
The room was a total let down. We paid $750 for one night to stay in a ‘superior king suite’ what a let down, it’s old, tired, dirty, smelly I could go on and on. Not worth the money at all left feeling very ripped off.

Not like the people photos….

So much to do as a couple, wonderful facilities and just a real fun time. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room service is great if you just want a chill late night snack or beverage. Perfect couples holiday stay, resort vibes! Book yourself at the Lagoon Spa too, magical!
Will be great when all TV’s are upgraded to Smart TV’s so you can use your own streaming services.

While the 1bdrm ocean view suite could definitely use a modern refurb, the size of the rooms was great. Loved both of the pools, though the Infinity pool was too busy for us on the Sunday afternoon. A small balcony but nice to be able to sit & enjoy the view. Staff were all very friendly.
Even though a 'cheaper' time of year, rooms are still quite expensive. Extremely disappointing for a venue of a supposed high calibre to have imported seafood on menus when there is so much lovely local seafood available. The seasonal fruit platter was also very disappointing.

Good location with everything you need to relax and enjoy Darwin nearby. Great sunsets from the infinity pool. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure we were taken care of.
There was a slight air of disuse around the property. We did visit at the start of the wet season however it seemed some of the regular maintenance needed to be done. Our bathroom had a mildew smell and the room door lock had to have the batteries replaced everyday of our 3 night stay. The staff however were super responsive to the issues.

Location & facilities & staff
Physically a bit rundown being 40 years old.
I have sent feedback to Booking.com as your description of the room is out of date & not correct.

The room was pokey and no view.
Asked for a refund which was declined as we booked through booking .com
So we did not stay there and lost all our money!

The location was perfect for touring Darwin, the staff were extremely helpful.
Access to the pool off your own deck was the highlight of the trip.
All was ok

Lagoon pool and infinity pool are amazing, lovely restaurants
4 nights of dj at the infinity pool is too many, room old and run down, sauna broken and has been for two years

Great location, clean, pool was really nice
For such a high price range the tv was horrible and only offered standard tv and try to charge just to watch a movie. For $450 a night I would expect more

The pools amazing
There on my own for 2 nights and getting a table for 1 person was not easy so gave up. Did not try the Vue, maybe they would have been more welcoming.
Apart from lagoon pool food which was yummy, did not dine at the restaurants.

Very well presented. At a non-swimming beach. Two excellent pools. Very friendly staff

It’s really the worst hotel I ever live in ! This money is not worthy to stay for even one night ! Everything is old and not sound proof at all

The view from our room overlooking the beach and sunset.
Be really careful booking here as they do surge pricing. The same room can be $400 or $800 depending on when you book.

Great location, great pools
The bathroom needed attention. Grouting needed attention. Rooms are looking old for the price you pay
