L’emplacement, la vue sur le Douro, les infrastructures
Empathie du personnel de réception à reconsidérer totalement ! Rien à dire par contre du personnel du restaurant.

not having enough variety of wine (for a hotel in Douro?!?)

The staff surprised us with cake and a bottle of wine on our arrival (it was my husband's bday). Beautiful hotel, spectacular views, great food, friendly staff, a chef's garden, vineyard and relaxing pools and spa. We enjoyed our time relaxing. What a wonderful treat after walking the camino portugese. The sommelier, Ferminio, was so friendly and kind. We will recommend to friends and family.

Well appointed hotel in lovely gardens and vineyards
Breakfast was very good indeed with a wide choice. The view from our window was beautiful and the room was spacious .
A bit remote and situated at the end of some very twisty roads. Although we were encouraged to drink bottled water rather than tap water we were given only one bottle and told we could not have another one.

Very complete breakfast and amazing room view.

beautiful views and spacious hotel
the indoor pool location is a bit odd to get too and a little too small for a hotel this size

The view is amazing. Nice stay, if you have a car or prefer to take a train (you need a car to get yourself to the train station) for a day-trip to Pinhao for example. The restaurant has good quality food.
The pool bar was closed, even though it was supposed to be open - no possibility to order drinks at the bar. They spilled drinks at the dinner to our lap without refund. They also blamed us for not adding credit card details for room service, even though we did it when we checked in. Service is not what you would expect in such a place. Overall, as a customer we got the feeling of being there for the hotel, not that the hotel is there for us.

Excelent view and good breakfast.

Staff was incredibly nice and helpful.
Room service was disappointing, especially compared to dinner in the restaurant the day before. The inside swimming pool is also rather small, it gets very crowded at some times.

Location: on Douro river, views
Loved the animal farm, veggie patch, vineyards pool and gardens stunning spa with a view ( but again a bit tired)
Setting of the terraced hotel
Lackluster, limited facilities sauna and steam room not fully working, rooms/bathrooms a bit tired and the bar restaurant definitely needs a major reboot in service food and variety - disappointing!

The spa area and services were nice. The views were great.
The mattresses were quite bad. They were spring mattresses that were uneven and extremely uncomfortable. The hotel offered a mattress protector which helped a bit but we still had a poor sleep after all while the whole point of the trip was to relax.

Amazing comfortable room with glass wall and stunning views over the Douro Valley! Delicious breakfast and great food at the restaurant. Open Swimming pool with beautiful views. Peaceful & relaxing indoors swimming pool with saunas. You can also make beautiful walks in the hotel vineyards or walk / drive down to the train station for some scenic train trip along the river. Overall it was an amazing experience you want to repeat again!
Everything was great! Only one thing to want - to prolong indoors swimming pool hours

Great location and very nice outdoor and indoor pools. Good sized comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Helpful reception staff
Staff in the restaurant and bar appeared stretched at times and not overly experienced

Breakfast was exceptional. Probably the best quality and selection we have come across in our travels. The location (when you can find it) is excellent with superb views over the River Douro. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk away from the railaway station where the trains will take you to Porto or the other direction along the river.
The hotel was, for us, extremely difficult to find. We had set our GPS to Baiao but discover that Baiao is more like an area rather than a place. Once we arrived in Baiao it took us a long time to find the hotel. Perhaps Booking.com should give a better description of how to find the hotel. Whilst the quality of our evening meal was good (but pricy) we found the waiter over-bearing/obsequious. The following day we chose to eat out at Regua for this reason.

This hotel proportionate an excellent experience for people looking to relax. The food in the restaurant Eça was super tasty and the menu is not expensive for the service they offer (we paid 60Eur for two people). I enjoyed being able to spend some time in the outdoor pool and then go to the indoor pool, sauna and steam bath! There is also a pool table. The view from the rooms is also amazing!
Everything was perfect!

Staff was great, facilities, breakfast and views great.
Surprised by the many parents with babies in the spa and dining room that gave a different vibe than we were hoping for. Great they have a place to relax, but nice if others could have more traditional spa peace or know ahead of time that there may be a lot of squealing and crying.
