Bad experience, the quality of service was not appropriate for business travel.

Good location. Good varied breakfast buffet.

Several things to note: - I got room 137 which turned out to be a room communicating with the next one. The in-between door was locked, which was good, but the sound isolation was very bad between the rooms. I could hear their tv, and conversations. I called the reception to ask if they can request the other guests to be quieter. No action was taken. - the parking could only be accessed by the hotel valet. This meant that every time i needed the car, I had to wait for the valet to be available to fetch it for me. This always took 15-20min. Once I even waited 35min and missed a meeting because of it. - the valet service + parking costs 35€ each time. This was nowhere indicated and I got the surprise on the bill at the end - one morning I got temporarily denied access to my room because the cleaner started to clean while I was at breakfast. I was told it will take 2min. After I waited 10min in the hallway I got impatient and asked that they leave the room. They refused because they would be done in 1min. I waited another 5min and had to insist that they leave the room so that I could get ready for my appointments. - on 2 occasions the staff on my floor didn’t seem to trust I was a guest at the hotel (because I dress casual?) and they insisted they see me open my room with my key card to make sure I am a hotel guest. This felt very discriminating, disrespectful and unnecessary. - on my last morning, what sounded like construction on the floor above my room started at 7:35am until 8:30am. I had planned to sleep until 8:45 to ensure I was fit for the long drive I had to do that day. Due to lack of sleep, I had to take more breaks while driving and caused yet more agenda issues.

Dejligt hotel med perfekt beliggenhed og venlig atmosfære.

Fabelagtig beliggenhed, utrolig venligt og hjælpsomt personale og fint, stort værelse.

Morgenmaden var okay men ikke imponerende i forhold til prisen (vi valgte den billigste model, "continental" til 22 euro).

Nice place right in the center. We could use the spa and sauna in the sister hotel, which was 2 minutes away. Nice breakfirst.

Empfehlenswert!

Das Frühstücksbuffet ließ keine Wünsche offen. Das Zimmer war ruhig und bequem. Mit zwei Kindern habe ich mich im Hotel wohl gefühlt.

Beim Frühstücken gab es zu wenig Gläser für die Gäste.

Bereits bei der Ankunft mit überaus freundlichem Personal empfangen worden bis zum Tag der Abreise. Jederzeit ein Lächeln auf den Lippen und hilfsbereit!

Aamiainen oli todella huippu, sijainti täydellinen. Huoneet todella siistit, kauniit ja tyylikkäät sekä hiljaiset. Hotellin henkilökunta todella ystävällisiä ja asiakaspalvelualttiita. Lämmin suositus!

Ein tolles Hotel. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Die Lage ist absolut erstklassig. Super freundliches Personal und ein tolles Frühstück. Das Zimmer war auch sehr ansprechend.

Der Abfluss in der Dusche funktionierte nicht gut. Dadurch musste man sehr aufpassen das Bad nicht zu fluten.

Komme immer gerne wieder.

Ich war schon mehrfach Gast in diesem Hotel und komme immer gerne wieder. Freundliches Personal, geschmackvolle Einrichtung, bequeme Betten, guter Service, gute Lage.

Es war das zweite Mal, dass ich ein Zimmer hatte mit (Metall-)Aussentreppe direkt vor dem Fenster. Beim ersten Mal sind häufig Personen rauf und runter gegangen, es war laut und man konnte in unser Zimmer sehen... sehr unerfreulich. Beim zweiten Mal kein derartiger Betrieb.

Der var koldt på værelset, så vi frøs om natten. Morgenmadsbuffeten var under middel især i forhold til prisen. Frugterne var ikke friske, juicen smagte ikke af noget, brødet var kedeligt… De hæver 15 ekstra euro, når du ankommer som du så får tilbage, når du forlader stedet igen. De penge er ikke kommet tilbage her to dage efter. Virker lidt mærkeligt at så dyrt et hotel har brug for sådanne tiltag. Vil ikke overnatte her igen.

Lounge-og morgenmadsområdet alt for lille ift antal gæster. Svært at få bord. For få personale til at betjene baren. (Lang ventetid) Meget lydt til naboværelset.

The overall impression is that Renaissance is a very good hotel

Renaissance Hotel is located in the most central location in Hamburg, 5 minutes walk to the Rathaus and the lake, 20 minutes walk to the port, and around many shops. However, there is some noise, especially early in the morning, requiring sleeping with a closed window. The staff are very friendly and helpful in everything needed. The cleaning staff arranges and cleans the rooms daily, puts away the hygiene products, and does an excellent job. You get a bottle of water every day. The breakfast is very good, rich, and varied, but repeats itself precisely every morning. The room is large and spacious. However, in my opinion, the coffee point should be removed from the closet and thus free up more space in the closet and make the coffee point more accessible. Additionally, the hotel should set a higher water pressure in the bath. After 6 nights stay, the overall impression is that Renaissance is a very good hotel. It is better to define it as a 4-star hotel and not a 5-star one because it does not have the luxury of a 5-star hotel.
