location
-Overpriced, this can’t be ranked as a 5 star hotel. I would say 3 stars hotel … maximum 4 stars hotel if they improve breakfast and improve cleaning
- flyers in bathroom and in bedroom
-poor breakfast buffet
-bad experience during check in

location is perfect. great historical property that has been beautifully transformed from a convent to a hotel. quiet with good beds.
all was good.
4.5
The staff at the property make it a real gem. They truly are exceptional: friendly, professional, kind and extremely accommodating. The staff are what made this a 5 star stay.
Very grateful to be upgraded to a suite, however cupboard was thick with dust as well as a few other areas. Really loved the little shaded terrace though- a real treat!

the history of the building
we were expecting a king size bed and we had to sleep on 2 single beds put together. the beds were splitting away during the night.

Very well located hotel in a retooled monastery that kept part of the original structure in a beautiful blend of old and new.
The hotel is very noisy. My daughters had to change their room (avoid room #006 like the plague!) and the new room, though quieter, was still noisier than average. Our own room (#002) was much noisier than acceptable, with conversations and cart noises reverberating all over and with sounds from the room above. Someone did not do a very good job in soundproofing the old monastery.

Great location, good breakfast, beautiful patio
Equipment is very used and poorly maintained

beautiful, well located, great staff, very quiet and unique
furniture in the bedroom could use a refresh as it looks old and used

Delighted. Service Food Comfort Design.
Parking space rather small.

Central location ideal to discover the town and the various attractions. Our room in the ancient convent was great with high wooden ceiling and view on the inner courtyard. Helpfull staff at the reception, excellent food at the restaurant and great wine selection, very nice staff at the bar along the historical inner courtyard
Bath room a little small but should be normal in an historical building
4.5
great historical building, Marriot service standard, nice and kind staff
my room was close to the lift and a bit noisy
4.5
A lovely hotel - perfectly located near the Cathedral ! In particular the staff were first rate. Nothing was too much trouble and we were really well looked after. The internal courtyard was beautiful -superbly renovated with excellent lighting at night. All in all ,our stay was great,
Whilst the parking arrangements were fine from arrival , getting directly to the hotel was not easy. The only way to approach the layby outside the reception area was along a lane in the Gran Via de Colon which was marked as taxis and buses only. The hotel perhaps could have advised clients that it was OK to come to the hotel using that lane as the Police were so informed so you would receive get a ticket.

No one available to help us to our room, room was cold and not clean, beds were old and too firm, room window overlooked an alley, very displeased with entire experience and even when we asked to be moved to better rooms we were told that all rooms were booked. I immediately booked a different hotel and left the property early the next morning.
4.5
It was very pleasant to be residing in such a beautiful, historical building, right in the middle of the city. The patio, open to the sky, that makes the connection to the meeting areas and the rooms, is so full of charm. Great room amenities and service. The personnel being so kind and helpful.
Nothing to say !
2.5
While the hotel is beautiful, we had two issues that negatively impacted our stay. First, was noise. We were on the first floor overlooking the courtyard and on two of our nights there were events in the courtyard that were noisy. In addition to the events the clean ups were noisy as staff seemed to drag heavy tables and chairs over the courtyard. Our other issue is that the rooms were dark. I understand that the architecture involves thick walls and relatively small windows, but the interior lighting could be improved.
There was another annoying feature. The door to the bathroom was frosted glass, so whenever you turned on the lights, the bedroom would be flooded with light. Not sure of the rationale of having glass doors.
4.5
Central location. Understated, elegant decor. Utterly stunning central courtyard, perfect for cocktails in the evening. Immersed in history. Huge room with soaring celing, original features and epic bed, with view onto courtyard. Beautiful dining room, with sophisticated menu of Andalusian food - including local caviar. Excellent dry Martinis. Friendly and efficient staff. Very good breakfast, both buffet and menu.
A bath in our room would have been perfect, although the shower was fine. The mournful music in the dining room and bar created a tranquil atmosphere which felt a little too solemn at times.

Front of house staff were perfectly nice
the courtyards were lovely
We were given a room that was very loud on main road they changed it for us but we had to have twin beds.
They moved us to the loft rooms but they forgot to tell the cleaning staff so every day when we came back from travelling our rooms had not been cleaned and towels hadn't been changed

Palacio Santa Paula is located centrally in Granada, easy to get to, and in close reach to all the most important viewing points, especially the Alhambra, only 15 minutes away by Taxi. itmis a totally renovated Convent, tastefully decorated and with all the amenities you would expect, including a First rate restaurant! The staff are incredibly welcoming and accomodating. A true joy!

Beautiful hotel, such a gorgeous building full of character. Having breakfast every morning in the courtyard/cloisters was just fabulous. Our room was at the front of the hotel on the main road, the window insulation was superb, never heard any noise and I'm a very light sleeper. Beautiful comfy beds. Definitely stay again if I was back in Granada.

This is not a five star level hotel. The facilities were substandard, e.g, the sauna and steam room were out of order.
