It was absolutely beautiful!
Only that it was far so getting to other places without a car or scooter meant you had to taxi

Size of room good
Bathroom shower awesome
Linens cozy

Closet wonderful
Water and ice machine great offering
Free minibar very nice
Waiting for room ….lol. Pool was windy which is a weather issue lol.
Other Resort couples taking lounge chairs from in front of our bungalow not cool.
2 Topless bathers daily on beach close to public beach…and dancing on beach were distracting to other honeymooning couples. They were quite the exibitionists on beach and in water. We saw it Caused a nearby couple much distress with her new husband, kinda sad for her. I did not know if this is acceptable or not in french Polynesia.
Arrival reception did not offer a good map of resort or info on amenities of resort.
We didn’t know of the beach hut restaurant until we walked by it on our second day.
But saw pool tiles missing, some deferred maintenance around resort. walkways were laid out uncomfortably, and deteriorated, low lighting at night caused a fall.
Breakfast Food was good but lunch and dinner choices were recognizable and similar each day.

Se pierde bastante tiempo con el Check in i check out.

The food, beach, room, gym & staff are all excellent. There is nothing I would change. We had a perfect stay and I hope we can return one day.

Room (114), especially the shower needs to be updated, the tile and grout were tired. The patio loungers on the beach are old and torn, and not enough furniture available.
The breakfast buffet was good, and the staff was fantastic, provide they were not short staffed on that particular day, then service was slow.
The lack of loungers on the beach and many were torn or sagging so had to lie on the sand.

We stayed here for four nights as part of our honeymoon trip and it was magical. Staying in one of their overwater bungalows, we were transformed into paradise, with direct access to the lagoon where there were so many different type of fish (size colour and type!) for us to snorkel around and explore. The resort itself also has a private beach, spa, three restaurants and two bars. There is also opportunities to do water sports and this is the closest resort, to the ferry station, with overwater bungalows. The staff were incredible and we couldn’t have asked for better memories from our honeymoon. Thank you for everything - we hope to see you again in the future
Smart tvs in rooms need Netflix access and rooms are slightly dated which require upgrading

I didn’t really care for the food

- situated right on the lagoon, the Sofitel is in my opinion the best property on Moorea due to the location of the resort, on the pristine lagoon that has the most amazing azule waters. The design of the resort allows for the view to encompass every aspect of your stay from your room, to the bar terrace to the restaurant and the pool- all offer a panoramic feast for the eyes, that you can’t help but feel relaxed and on holiday.
- we stayed in the overwater bungalow and also the ocean view villa. The water was crystal clear with an abundance of fish. Whilst the corals were not in great condition, likely due to human factors and environmental, the fish were plentiful. Snorkelling morning, noon and afternoon was a delightful way to spend the day. The beach on which the Sofitel is located is the best beach in my opinion in Moorea. There are plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas to relax and spend the day . You can also snorkel from the beach and see the stag horn corals as let the current drift you towards the Overwater bungalows.
- the rooms were clean, comfortable and bed was very big and comfortable.
- the buffet breakfast was also excellent with fresh pastries, egg and crepe bar and all the staff are very helpful and friendly.
- The restaurant food was ok, nothing special and definitely prices are high as is in the rest of Moorea. There is not much around the Sofitel walking distance but some restaurants do offer a free pick up and drop off service .
-would be good to see more signs and education for guests regarding helping to conserve the marine environment such as signs saying no feeding fish and also signs telling people not to step on the corals and how to swim around them etc .

Wonderfull included breakfast and wonderful overwater bungalow. Fast, high speed WiFi
room was a bit too dark day and night. Some additional overhead/spot lighting would have been helpful.

The location and the amenities are superb, breakfasts were amazing, which is rare, we had dinner only once on the property and it was pretty good, the huts are outdated but well kept and comfortable, the beach is everything with tons of activities available. The nights with live music was nice.
The service was 50/50 with quite a lot of rude staff, the barmen especially, though there were a few nice and empathetic ones in the restaurants. What was awful is music, playlists chosen for the bar and restaurants were the only reason we wouldn’t hang out there, absolutely killing the vibe of this otherwise atmospheric picturesque place.

Wonderful hotel in a spectacular location. Paradise on Earth. The Polynesian night was fun.
I personally thought the food served in the main restaurant could have been a lot better. It was served buffet style (which is OK), but did not feature any Polynesian influence, which I expected.

Location was good. Overwater bungalows we’re superb with the best snorkeling we have ever done right from our room!
Pricey but a bucket list item!

The bungalow on water was beautiful. Just don’t think the cost to a regular bungalow could ever be worth it
Food was terrible. The fact breakfast closed 30 mins earlier. Just very expensive and below average food. The French fries were my favorite item to say how disappointed I was. And I’m a food junkie
