A lovely inn in a lovely location.

We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. It was good tasting. There were a group of locals playing games or having a meeting of some such in a separate room. It was nice to be in Balmaha verses Luss, which we found overly touristy. We found it easy to get to Inchcailleach Island using the Balmaha Boatyard. We stayed in Dan's Cottage. Our room and bathroom were very nice.

I wish the view was a bit better of the water. The fence and other huts got in the way from our first floor room, but the convenience of being on the first floor was great.

Definitely will return to the Oak Tree Inn.

Easy drive from airport, lovely location to explore Loch Lomond, across the street from Conic Hill Trailhead. Had a lovely shop which offered variety of gifts, staples for camping, picnic items….coffee/ice cream shop were a bonus.

Enttäuschende Unterkunft für Ruhesuchende

Hat unsere Erwartung bei dem relativ hohen Preis leider gar nicht erfüllt.

Viel zu laut und überfüllt. Die Beschreibung der Unterkunft vermittelt leider einen komplett anderen Eindruck. Im Restaurant gibt es leider nur Fastfood und die Geräuschkulisse ist so laut, dass ein Gespräch nur schwer möglich ist. Im Haupthaus sind die Zimmer und Bäder in die Jahre gekommen und extrem klein. Außerdem war es in unserer Zimmer wegen der darunter liegenden Bar und der Lüftungsgeräte sehr laut. Der Ausblick war eine Katastrophe (siehe Foto). Das Personal war sehr nett und bemüht, so dass wir das Zimmer noch zu den Cottages wechseln konnten. Diese sind freundlicher und nicht mit Teppichboden ausgestattet. Leider waren auf der Bettdecke etliche Haare :-(. Seeblick gibt es wohl nur von sehr wenigen Zimmern und auch nicht vom Aussenbereich der Gastronomie.

Größe des Zimmers, es war angenehm warm geheizt. Tolles Bett. Tolle Aussicht vom Zimmer aus

Keine Handbrause in Dusche und Badewanne. Laute Geräusche, wenn Gäste im Stock darüber im Zimmer gehen. Kein Zugang zum See vom Hotel aus

Mooi gelegen, prima kamer.

We sliepen in een deel van een Cottage (beneden verdieping), kleine entree, slaapkamer en badkamer (met een lekkere douche). Het restaurant is aan te bevelen, je kunt er lekker eten. Ontbijt was een echt Schots ontbijt in buffet vorm, je kon ook koffie huisje heerlijk een broodje eten.

Evt. een eigen zitje bij je cottage, helemaal als je beneden je kamer hebt.

Lovely stay

Right on the West Highland Way. Very attractive, great coffee shop and pub. Picturesque setting on Loch Lomand. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom.

Very low water pressure in the shower.

Staff in this hotel are fab! Nothing is a problem, even when they are busy!

Excellent!!

I loved tv while in bathtub. Might have been nice to have some bubble bath but enjoyable all same. Loved the balcony even though weather didn’t allow for us to use it. Loved suite with interior chairs. We loved connecting to Bluetooth to listen to our own music. We didn’t use them but umbrellas a nice touch!!

Great stay!🙂

I have travelled with my mum for her birthday. We had an amazing stay at Oak Tree Inn. The staff was so nice that my mum said it was her best birthday ever🥰 Everyone was very friendly, helpful and so nice that my mum had tears in her eyes when the staff was singing happy birthday to her❤️ We really appreciate the effort!Everything was just perfect! Thank you all!🥰

Loved the location overall enjoyed our stay however felt the stay was overpriced consider breakfast was extra.

Loved the location and the atmosphere. The evening meal was excellent. The person who served us at dinner was lovely and very helpful. The staff on the evening were lovely and made up for our initial cold welcome. The food was lovely however was very surprised at how quickly it came out from ordering. Was as if it was pre-made.

The staff who greeted us at reception were not the friendliest. It felt that checking us in was a bit of a bother to them. Not the warm welcome we were expecting. The room was pleasant however I feel over priced for what you got. Last orders were called about 10.20 which was a bit early if their licence was till 11? Maybe the staff were trying to finish early to get up the road? Breakfast was served till 9.30am which I felt was early as the majority of the guests are tourists.

Amazing glamping pod

We initially booked a standard pod but were upgraded to a superior pod. This was 100m from the main building where the restaurant/pub is located. The pod was amazing, very comfortable, modern and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfy. This was one of our best stop along the WHW. The breakfast buffet was served at the main building and was plentiful and tasty.

Fantastic setting with some of the best staff i’ve ever encountered on any of my hotel stays.

Staff were extremely friendly and professional. Food was quite bland with a limited choice. reasonable prices for food.

I scolded myself on the hot water bath tap as the temp was set far too high and so was the pressure as it splashed over me and scolded my arm and face. the room was of a typical standard but furniture was very dated and wobbly.

Very relaxing.

We really enjoyed the peace in the surrounding area even though there were others around you could still feel like you were the only people there in some areas.

Good but over priced

luxury pods are excellent spacious modern and clean. Very comfortable bed! Lovely toiletries from Arron Aromatics.

Breakfast only served until 9.30am on a Sunday this is very poor! Checkout 10am unless you pay more which I did on this occasion. Check in 3pm and not before so £170 for one night is expensive when you consider the time you get in the accommodation. The menu is now very limited in the restaurant/pub No steaks no specials blackboard and no Atlantic Char fish as previously offered. We have stayed here many times and noticed a huge difference in the menu choices.
