Nice clean room in separate building, so quiet. Good restaurant but a bit 'meaty' - could do with a good veggie choice.
Breakfast (included) was excellent with a wide selection to choose from. Breakfast room a bit quiet, some background music would have made it perfect.
All in all, a nice pub run by a manager who's know his trade.
All good; nothing to complain about. The Fisherman's Haunt is a well run pub that is clean, comfortable and reasonably priced.

The day time food in the restaurant needs a better vegan option please :-)

Lizzie was lovely and went out of her way to make us feel welcome.
When I booked in October I had specified that this was to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and had requested the same room we’d had for our honeymoon. My husband had, unbeknownst to me, phoned prior to our stay to check that everything was in order. Our son and daughter-in-law had also stopped by to leave an anniversary gift for us. However, we were given the worst possible room, in a separate building, overlooking the car park, with no heating on when we arrived, no shaving point in the en-suite shower room and no alternatives to tea and coffee (my husband doesn’t drink either). The only thing that salvaged it for us was the surprise gift from our children.

Noise from other rooms at night.

Nice location and staff. Pleasant decor.
The bedroom was very hot at night. This was understandable given the weather but it wasn’t possible to open the window properly because of a window lock and opening it might have helped.
The service in the restaurant on the first night was disappointing. We waited an hour for 2 identical salad starters and were then asked if we had ordered main courses (which we had). I’m not sure if the problem was with the waiter or the chef. Maybe they were watching the rugby…

Staff went the extra mile for the customers here. They were friendly, helpful (especially with local advice) and extremely efficient. In short I thought they were fabulous (special thanks to Amanda, Freddie, Abi and Sienna). Room in coachouse was superb, complete with coffee maker and other quality products to make the stay more comfortable. Food was excellent.
No noticeable bus route/stops nearby, it was either drive or taxi. No nearby shops I could see.
