Une fois pas deux !

L’emplacement de l’hôtel vue sur l’océan très apprécié

L’aspect général de l’hôtel...un peu négligé ! L’hôtel était en travaux mais heureusement à l’étage où nous étions les chambres avaient été refaites et repeintes même si les finitions n’étaient pas super bien faites, c'était propre par rapport au 1er étage que nous avons traversé et qui sentait assez mauvais ! Je dois dire que nous avons .eu un peu peur en arrivant ! La vue de la chambre a un peu rattrapé le reste : vitres des fenêtres très sales, une araignée morte sur le lit simple de notre fille! Et une salle de bain tellement peu pratique avec une porte qui frottait le carrelage et ne fermait pas à clef ! Dans une serviette pliée et propre j’ai retrouvé un nœud de plastique rigide comme si elle avait été la vée avec un goupillon qui aurait perdu ses poids et restés dans la serviette ! En plus c'est le seul hôtel qui nous a demandé un dépôt de garantie de 30 livres sterling qui auraient encaissé en cas de dégâts causés dans la chambre !!! Un comble !

Stayed for Hythe Venetian fete and it was a very convenient, friendly hotel for the town centre and canal.

Very comfortable, great location and lovely sea view (there is currently scaffolding on the building, but we were told about it and the view was still lovely)

Great location and friendly staff.

The hotel is located right on the sea front. It was only an 8 minute walk each day to the high street for work. The staff were very friendly. They had a car park onsite.

The booking said a 'standard double' room, but we later found out we had the smallest room available. It was difficult to move around the room with luggage in it.

Hot hot hot !!!

Lovely welcoming staff easy check in very clean

Our room was in the roof on boiling hot day 32°C no air con......inefficient fan. With increasing summer temps air con essential. Small double bed pushed up against wall ,for less agile people difficult to get in and out

Fantastic stay, great price, amazing staff!

Easy walk to the beach, or high street, easy to park, rooms clean, neat and tidy, bed super comfy and staff on hand at all times, and all staff really friendly and helpful

Lovely place, would stay again

Great location, cozy room, clean & comfortable. Great service from staff too.

I would’ve preferred to have the toilet on the main floor of the suite. However, my son really enjoyed the separate bedroom upstairs, where the bathroom was, so it was fine.

Budget hotel a hidden gem

The location, the staff were amazing, nothing was to much trouble, especially as we had a couple of room issues. The renovations will be amazing when completed. But there are lots of places local to grab food and room supplies so all good. The price was fantastic and we would definitely stay again. Just remember it is a budget hotel and well worth a visit.

In all honesty there wasn't anything we didn't like, clean friendly budget hotel, great location.and would definitely give it another go regardless of renovations.

Room I stayed in was lovely, and staff helpful, but was caused unnecessary stress and refund unreso

Staff friendly.

I booked for compact double with sea view. Room allocated didnt have sea view unless guest looked in the mirror. Paid extra for another room. Booking.com wouldn't refund the original payment stating that Stade Court categorised the room allocated as "sea view". Stade Court wouldn't refund either so ended up with hours on phone, and still unresolved. The staff at Hythe were as helpful as they could be, but it appears HQ refused to refund . I therefore paid for two room , whilst occupying one.

The lady who looked after us at dinner was lovely. The location was excellent.

The window in the room was broken and would not open. Asked for assistance to be told no one available till Tuesday, this was Saturday. Room was baking hot even with a fan. Room had no ventilation which is far from ideal in Covid 19 times. There were not enough staff around and no one really knew any answers when we asked questions. Also really dated.

Pleasant stay. Great location. No parking problems.

Everything was clean and friendly at the Hotel. Certain areas could to with a refresh, cracked tiles, cleaning in corners in bathrooms... but overall felt clean. Breakfast was non existent as the friendly chap on reception was also running to the kitchen to cook breakfasts and he seemed under pressure so I didn't bother with breakfast. Otherwise a nice stay and would recommend as value for money.

I wouldn't recommend the place.

Information on booking.com is not relevant to what you get. Travellers are expected to pay a deposit and money are taken from the account in advance even if you choose the option to pay at the property, which is a more expensive option. The place is oversold, pictures place on the website about spa facilities are fake. The place had no spa facilities.

Good value and great location for a stay in Hythe

Great location, very welcoming staff. Good value for a one night stay.

This is the first hotel I have ever been in that requested a deposit. I don't think that is very good for guests who have paid in advance.
