Very enjoyable, would highly recommend.

Excellent breakfasts. Also the evening meals were very good. Well managed.

The shower was very low pressure.

Lovely place

Lovely setting really lovely old building. Staff were all lovely and breakfast was nice too.

The room was not as clean as I would expect but nothing I needed to complain about at the time, also the pillows were flat and hard.

Overall enjoyed our stay,just breakfast definitely needs some work

Changed rooms to a lodge as no lift and couldn’t cope with stairs as was on second floor,the lodge was lovely ,light clean,with nice views of the garden,would definitely stay in a lodge again.

Had to ask for orange juice and other things,all that was offered was cooked breakfast,stayed in best western in Lichfield the day before had an excellent breakfast,with attentive service, definitely not attentive service here.Bar was a bit soulless a few comfy sofa to relax would be nice Bar itself very attractive.

The grounds and the Terrace were perfect to enjoy on a sunny day Excellent breakfast included in the price. Very good value!

It was ok, only booked it as attended a wedding at the hotel.

The room was adequate, but dated. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was ok, but the staff were all very stressed and busy, no service with a smile.

The room was very warm, no air conditioning, so window had to be open. We overlooked the car park, which was very noisy.

Needs renovating, very tired

The bed was comfortable

The whole place needs renovating. Shower was cold Room and corridors need a good lick of paint, the carpets need replacing. Stains everywhere. No receptionist to check in. The bar tender did it for us and explained that he had to break up 3 fights the night before, which wasn't a good start tbh. Advertised as a 'heated terrace' but the heaters had been turned off in favour of a wedding. We stayed 1 year ago but won't return.....

good breakfast and tea coffee facilities, outdoor grounds looked lovely but weather wasn’t great so couldn’t sit outside.

wasn’t informed of a wedding and separate party taking place prior to checking in so was too late to change venue. was extremely loud and difficult to sleep with a child. Water pressure in bathroom was terrible as well.

Exceptional

it was our wedding and the staff couldn’t be more helpful!!! I can’t thank everyone enough for how wonderful they where. from start to finish. I can’t remember the ladies name but she served my bridal party on the eve of my wedding. on the 20th of April my name is Ali. this lady had dark black hair tied back. she was beyond amazing. even when I had a mal function with my wedding dress!!!! and the lovely bottle of Prosecco and card was such a beautiful touch. thank you so so much. We also had a wedding spokesman. I want to say his name was Malcom he was incredible. a massive massive thank you to you all. For making our wedding the dream day that it was!!!

Overall very happy

Great hotel, staff and prices of drinks at the bar were fantastic

The floors and cellings in the annex are very thin and you can hear everything the guests are doing and saying in the room below.

Overall good stay

Very good quality

Not great if disabled as stairs a bit tricky. Floors also quite slippery. Slope to gents loo quite hazardous.

Entrance from main road needs better lighting. Car park layout poor.

It was close to our family. Breakfast good.

Decor very tired. .No hot water one day. Staff didn't smile much. Not good value for money.

Function was excellent, room was disappointing.

Location good, function room was excellent and the Christmas party was very good.

Rooms were very dated, had to wait over an hour to get an iron delivered to my room.

the hotel a has a lovely bath so was looking forward to getting ready and wandering down for a drink, the annex was on a

staff were friendly and helpful

my room was in the annex which was completely separate from the hotel, down a long dark drive out in the street so unable to walk down to the hotel bar for a drink.! as a women on my own felt quite unsafe being in a house by myself and wasn’t a hotel experience! have paid less for a nicer travel lodge, room was in desperate need of some decoration!

adequate- I have stayed in many hotels which were better value for money- including breakfast.

good location, friendly staff

the room could have been cleaner- it had a hard floor and as the beds moved on their coasters it was dirty.

Visiting friends, 3 night stay. At weekends the Hotels prime use is for civil ceremonies.

Room was clean and tidy, breakfast was good.

Table service was poor at breakfast and evening meal.
