The staff was really helpful in trying to make my life easier: they arranged a business room for me instead of the small room I booked, due to the lack of hot water in the wing I supposed to live in for a week. That was great.
First shock: I have to pay for the parking! Are you kidding me? I have ever never in my travels need to pay for a parking at a hotel with its own parking lot. Yes, I had to pay in Istanbul, but there is a parking and traffic nightmare and the location haven't had a parking lot.
Second: Wifi. So poor, so unstable, I had to connect each 30-45 minutes. I used my mobile data to tether wifi signal to my laptop to be able to attend to business meetings. A nightmare! They have this old gateway style of allowing the traffic, instead of having a direct access. My iPhone refused to connect, due to the poor signal and security.
Third: the initial room: small, very small, with the bed almost touching the radiator - difficult to stabilise the temperature. Fourth: The bathroom - and I think I made a disservice to the word "bathroom", the restroom, toilet room, whatever, has this walk in shower area, with no curtain - basically there's a shower between the toilet and the sink and you splash everything around, then you have to clean and dry the toilet to use it.
Fifth: the front door: in plain Covid situation, they have this manual door - you have to grab the handle to open it. How difficult is to install an automatic door to avoid touching common areas?
Sixth: The hotel: it is long time outdated. I have been there 3-4 years ago, not by my choice (business decision), but we moved out of there in a week or so due to the lack of good WiFi and stayed for another 3 months somewhere else. And today, the hotel seems to have the very same carpets, the very same smell, the very same look and feel of a retirement house.

The bed was comfortable and the tv of a nice good size with good resolution. Internet was working fine. A small selection of tea and coffee available. Limited but green view outside window making it quiet for a night's rest. Room overall in good standing. Satisfied for the price paid.
the bath tub shower gel dispenser was actually broken and cover just put on top - as soon as I touched it it fell off.
No napkins available in the metal napkins box left in the bathroom (either fill it up or take it away...)
Parking actually costs extra 5 pounds per night (this is stated in advance).

The best is this hotel keep its own style. It's very suitable for the aged to rest and a mid station of a travel.
