Karasjok is in the heart of Sami country and this hotel is in the heart of Karasjok. Good room, good wi-fi. Excellent restaurant with Sami-derived decor. Excellent buffet breakfast. You can walk to the Sami Park/Parliament/Museum etc.
The lady at the desk shouldn't tell people that the Sami park is open at 8.30 when it opens at 10! We were not the only ones confused.

This Scandic Hotel is a renovator's delight. Our room had a very musty smell, the baggage had to be lugged down a flight of stairs.
The quality of the breakfast buffet was poor, the hotel restaurant is situated in a dark cave adjacent to the hotel, homage to the indigenous culture.

The best place to stay in Karasjok. The staff are friendly, the breakfast is delicious and caters for all dietary requirements. We were lucky to see the northern lights during our stay, and enjoy a sauna and gym at the hotel in the evenings. It was a good place to stay with our infant. The hotel provided a cot. The new manager at the hotel is very helpful, kind and attentive.

Don't miss the hotel restaurant - Storgammen - good traditional food

Nice breakfast. Situated in the Sami Capital and in the Sami cultural park of Karasjok. In the site there Is a typical and very suggestive Sami restaurant that unfortunately we didn't try.
We booked a bedroom with double bed, we found a single bed and a couch bed. Could use some more support surface in the room. In general the structure is outdated.

Our room 211 was really outdated and not than clean either, considering the price we paid for the room.

Traveling in covid19-times, everything is slightly off, but no fault on the hotel's part. They have adapted well to the changing conditions the pandemic entails.
Antibacterial gel is readily available, and both the restaurant and breakfast are covid19-friendly, with social distancing and a focus on hygiene.
The staff is smiling and ready to give tips on a variety of tourist activities.

Very nice staff!
