Location was lovely. Beautiful area, close to areas we enjoy. Big room. Staff were great!
The booking.com pictures were completely misleading. It was never a 5 star, not even close. Building looked dilapidated (maybe paint it?!), room was dated and the carpet looked like something out of a homeless shelter. Water didn’t work in room, French doors didn’t lock easily (at all). Food was also not of a 5 star standard. It was average at best. And what other 5 start hotel asks you to pay to upgrade to a cooked breakfast?!…

Our room was super. And the setting on the Cleddau estuary is sublime.
Bath and shower both had only luke warm water - that was in the evening and also the following morning. I'm sorry to say this but the food was a disappointment. None of our party of four found anything to rave about. Insipid beetroot risotto. Come on chef, vegans have taste buds too you know. We last stayed at Slebech 13 years ago when our memory was of great food and a brilliantly festive ambience. The breakfast porridge really needs some effort too. Oliver Twist would not have asked for more of this. We rather felt like it was the reserve team operating the place in the Twixmas period of our visit.

The location is stunning, it’s very well located for other beautiful parts of Pembrokeshire and it was really peaceful.
The breakfast was very good, it’s dog friendly and the room appeared quite recently renovated, was clean and in a very good state of repair.
The door to our room wouldn’t close (this was repaired the day after we reported it), the children’s beds had missing springs, the pillows were too soft and the fully open plan room/bathroom wasn’t great for a family sharing a toilet (I imagine it would be worse on a weekend away with a new partner!). The TV was hit and miss, it didn’t always work and the wifi was pretty poor, although it was quite nice to be offline for a while.
Some of the staff were a little bit prickly at times, but some were lovely and really helpful.
The building does look a little shabby, on the exterior, it could do with a facelift and the parking arrangements weren’t clear - they did however spray parking bays before we left which made it easier to figure out where to park.
Although breakfast was good, we would have preferred breakfast earlier than 8am, as we are early risers.

Beautiful property in a stunning location.
You could hear those above you walking about & flushing the toilet.

Staff were great - very helpful. Location is nice - the grounds are stunning. The restaurant is exceptional - both dinner and breakfast were really good and high quality. Not cheap but worth it. There was a surcharge for a cooked breakfast which I didn't expect but it was well worth it!
Room was nice if small
Room was small but comfortable and very warm - and I wasn't there when it was hot (in fact it was very cool for July but still the room was hot). No A/C but they did provide a fan but I suspect it might be unbearable in hot weather. Apart from the reataurant the place feels a bit run down. Waterstains on the carpet, rendering falling off the walls etc. It looks like it needs an update.

Beautiful property and surrounds. Exceptional service and room.

There was a good choice of food for the continental breakfast, and plenty of it. Also, a good selection of fruit juices. The room was comfortable and the free WiFi was good. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were attentive and friendly.

They loved dogs
Situation on river beautiful
The room was very hot with underfloor heating on in a heatwave
Only a fan no air conditioning
I am coeliac and was not catered for breakfast, until I complained, even though I had pre booked. Problem was resolved very well.

The location is exceptionally beautiful and it's really amazing that you can just roam around the gardens at leisure. It feels like a really special place and the rooms a lovely and immaculately clean. We loved being able to have our dog with us, and they provided her with a bed and treats. She lovely trotting around in the gardens and we had a very comfortable stay.
Sadly the place seemed a little under-staffed and the reception closed early leaving no service over night, which was a bit of a shame, with there being no bar or restaurant open when we stayed there. Also our room was a little stuffy as we couldn't turn the radiator off, despite there being a fan provided. If you stay just be aware you need to be organised and aware of the reception opening times. Other than that it was a wonderful stay.

the grounds are beautiful.
Noisy neighbours slamming doors.

Breakfast was well presented, good quality and lots of choice to meet continental or cooked.
The photos of rooms were not what we got, far from it. The room was very basic, dark and the living area didn't smell too pleasant. Mugs very stained. Wifi doesn't work and an evening bar to socialise would be nice seeing as it's in the middle of woodland.

What a wonderful place to stay. A paradise for couples. The estate is enormous and we took the opportunity to do the walk they suggested, it was just glorious. We came across the kitchen garden which was just stunning, I could have sat there for hours. The bed was so comfortable and the views magnificent. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. I would recommend this place without hesitation.
The area is just stunning and the beaches are just wow! Love Pembrokeshire.

We absolutely loved our stay. The rooms were very comfortable and the mattresses were too. Very private and quiet location, yet close to everything.
The only suggestion we would make is for the rooms to have a mini fridge and microwave added to them. We got take away one night and were unable to store the leftovers to be finished later.

Dinner
Breakfast is lies, "Breakfast Included" is a bowl of cereal. It's misleading advertising. Even clarified at check in that Breakfast was included and they confirmed it was. It was only when we were checking out, after eating, that we were told there was a charge for the cooked breakfast. Exterior needs maintenance.

we loved the beautiful peaceful surroundings.
we liked everything about the property

Size of room was good, bathroom enormous.
Restaraunt was good
Excellent setting
The chairs in the room were not suitable for lounging. Too upright
Table in room not big enough

Beautiful location, friendliness of staff, excellent continental breakfast selection. Room was warm and bed large and quite comfortable.
Poor television signal/picture quality or ability to attach firestick. Chair and carpet threadbare in places.
No toiletries within friends room, had dead flies and cobwebs around window.
Lighting very poor in room where sink and toilet was as this was where the mirror was located. Much brighter in the room with no mirror where shower and bath was in. No ironing facilities in room.

Only downside was the place was very hard to find in the dark at night with little lighting or signs especially as a lone female and didn’t know where to park in the dark. Had to ring the hotel a couple of times for advice to find the place and to park. The lady on reception was very lovely though.

The grounds were stunning!
Room was superb, clean and modern.
Staff were very polite and helpful.
Wish we had gone for the cooked breakfast as it looked amazing!
The outside could do with a little tlc but unsure if it's a listed building and there are restrictions.

Everything was perfect!

Location, very pleasant staff room was nice, lovely bathroom, carpet was a little stained, and some dead flies around.
The bar which was a little cramped wasn’t open for long enough or early enough.
Food was very basic for the prices! And they’d run out of steaks by 7.30pm!! A little overpriced for the quality of food.

We had a really lovely and much needed night away in wonderful surrounding, our room was lovely and very comfortable and fantastic shower. We had a lovely walk around the grounds which truly are breathtaking. Our evening meal was good and we had very nice service.
The breakfast wasn’t good. Very undercooked bacon and sausage so we didn’t pay.
It’s a shame the bar is only open from 6pm until 9pm but I think they’re understaffed. I don’t think there is a room service option either

A little gem of a hotel with so much potential. Rooms are decorated to a high standard and are spacious and clean. The hotel itself is stunning, and the grounds are simply beautiful with walks for hours. Staff were friendly and attentive and couldn’t do enough for us.
whilst done to a high standard, the rooms could use some modernisation, as it did feel a little dated. Our mattress was particularly uncomfortable however I do accept that it can sometimes be personal preference.

Breakfast - staff very attentive and a good selection of food. Evening meal in restaurant was good although the menu had been recently changed. However the food we had was very nice. Our bedroom was lovely - light and airy with an excellent view of the estuary. Cleanliness was very good. All staff pleasant and welcoming. We would like to stay again in the future as a result.
The menu in the restaurant was a bit limited in choice but the food we had was lovely.

The hotel itself is beautiful as well as the grounds upon it sits. Very much enjoyed the walks a round the hotel, watching the tidal lake coming in and out and visiting the very old church.
Our room (Dalham 3) was plentiful, bed extremely comfortable and large in size. Receptionist very friendly and informative about local places to visit, as well as recommendations for restaurants.
No restaurant for evening meals throughout the week.
Informed hotel that it was our mini honeymoon before booking thought there could have been a small congratulations in the room, it would have really made it special but arrived to nothing. A little disappointed.
Postcode for hotel also leads you to an old building along a road covered in potholes. There needs to be a sign indicating to turn left at the bridge.
