The room was very clean and fresh, as were the bathrom facilities No complaints there whatsoever
Each morning at 0530 precisely we were awakened by what appeared to be doors noisily closing (unavoidable) and one door which was sqeaking as it closed. Our room was situated next to a utility room so we assumed the noises we heard were some of the staff gearing up for work. As we checked out we opened the utility room door and it was indeed making a squeaking noise. The location of the room was obviously the reason for this situation.

Lovely setting. Staff super friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the pool and free hot drinks, biscuits and fruit is such a lovely touch.
The evening buffet was disappointing for the money. I wish we had the homemade pizzas as they looked great.

Clean property
The rooms a little bit far from the main building and restaurant but it also has its advantages being a bit isolated

Rooms with terrace overlooking pod weee very good and well equipped. 5 min walk to Towers and gardens and most provides easy stretch recreation after a long journey
Note: No lift/elevator to first floor, so if travelling with heavy baggage, choose a ground floor room.

Very happy with everything about the hotel. Staff were exceptionally friendly. Didn't have breakfast or a meal at the hotel but menu's looked good. Really liked the story of the estate painted on the walls in the lower section of the hotel.
Happy with everything and will stay again should the occasion arise.

Beautiful property, lovely staff
Room, especially the bathroom was quite dirty!
It was very noisy outside my room. We kept waking up from noise in the corridors. Note my room was exactly in front of the entrance door to the corridor.

Great location quite hidden away

The staff were phenomenal. Extremely friendly, polite and efficient. They always spoke to my daughter well and made her feel special.
The food at the restaurant was very nice and good value. The pool was lovely and the gym, although small, well equipped.
Construction work on site (upgrading rooms which are dated) meant some noise and the water was cut off for most of one day in our room.

The grounds are beautiful, the pool was nice, the food was absolutely delicious, the quality of food was consistent even with a very large church group of over 150 there . The staff are helpful and very polite. The room was a nice size, and the bed was very comfy. The complimentary tea and coffee machines in communal areas are amazing.
The changing rooms in the gym are not individual. There are individual cubicles for 2 showers but a communal changing area which although single sex rooms are really not acceptable for someone who is body conscious.
The room was very noisy, and single glazed windows don't help when Heathrow is just down the road. A stray cat in the loft chasing around, doors slamming and aircraft overhead, with single glazing as stated. We complained after night 1, but there was no chance for swapping rooms. After 2nd night, I had only had 2 hours of sleep each night. I was actually feeling ill from tiredness. We never even got a discount offer for the worst nights' sleep ever!!!!!

Not great onsite food options

Good location and facilities
Had paid for room with air conditioning but it didn’t work, told woman on reception told me she would tell maintenance, nothing happened, told different woman when checking out that I had paid the extra for a room with air conditioning but it wasn’t working and she didn’t seem to care and just said she would refer it to maintenance and didn’t answer my point that I had paid the extra for the upgrade room.

Lovely setting. Breakfast excellent
Shower difficult to work. In fact thought I wouldn’t get it to work at all and was going to call reception then found you had to use a lot of strength to move the control

Parking was easy. Staff friendly and 24/7 check in was vital to our stay and that was smooth and easy. Basic facilities in the room but the bed was nice and comfortable.
I should have asked for a non smoking room as the corridor and room smelt of cigarettes

Grounds were lovely, restaurant and staff were very good
Superior room was very small - disappointing

We booked a standard room and it was as expected ie not luxurious but very nice and had all we needed. Breakfast was, as described, very good. We didn't have dinner. We enjoyed having use of the facilities and took advantage of a morning swim. The location is lovely and it was very pleasant to draw back the curtains to see parkland and horses.
The pillows were a bit too firm for me and I'm not keen on the 'rainfall' style shower that they had in the pool changing facilities. The shower for the room was fine.
