Nice location in the center of the city. Easy to walk around and find one of the many restaurants. The hotel itself also has a restaurant with a small, but tasty assortiment of meals.
Breakfast is very nice. Good buffet, and a substantial selection of gluten free options.
The rooms are not very special but clean and comfortable.
Parking is a bit hard to find, since you have to drive into the pedestrian area and then drive through a small corridor. Once you found it, it's OK. There's an entrance to the hotel on the back so you can access the parking lot easily.

The cleanliness, the staff and the food.
No tea or coffee in room. Needs a little TLC

customer service was not happy with. And asked for credit card for some strange reason. Note hold my credict card was not in their website. Plus extra 20e for my gf breakfast. (extra payment for food i manage to get my 20e back) horrible and place was not as advertised

Location was great! The breakfast was delicious and it included many plant-based options :)
Slightly outdated rooms. Not good value for money.

The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was splendid, and the room more spacious than I expected. The underground parking was convenient.
The rooms could use some better central lighting. This seems to be a common theme however in Finnish hotels, maybe it's just a habit.

Good standard breakfast
Unfortunately my room was located above the Hotel's pub so music they played (live band) kept me wake half of the night. Worst of all I had paid 8 euros for an "upgraded" room...

Although this is supposed to be a 4-star hotel, it looks more like a 3-star hotel.
The hotel was clean.
The breakfast was good.
Friendly stuff.
The rooms should be renovated though.
The hotel did not look like a 4-star hotel.

Great location at the center of town. Comfortable and big rooms.
Price and service ratio is not really right :) But there are just very few hotels in the town so it's not surprising

toilet was In a disgusting state when I arrived

Breakfast was very good. Location is great.
I am a wheelchair user and whilst the room was accessible and the wet rooms was good the access to the wet room was very difficult, you have to pull up a very short, steep ramp to get in. Also very tight space to turn to get the right angle to access the shower room.

I liked the location of the hotel. I loved the food especially. We had dinner and it was so good. The breakfast had a variety of choices and it was delicious to eat. I love the fact that they had a kids corner and the whole hotel and restaurant are kids- friendly. I loved the swimming pool and the sauna. I also loved the fact that the room was very spacious with four beds for a family of 3.
I was shocked to find out that renovation work was going on in the hotel. One of the lifts had a problem. The state of the room wasn't that great. It was dirty. I had to brush the toilet myself immediately i checked into the room. The window pane was so dirty and dusty, the floor of the hotel room was actually so dirty we couldn't walk barefoot. There was no water boiler which would have been useful especially when traveling with kids.

Breakfast is not bad, but also not comparable to the breakfast in better Scandic hotels.
The biggest problems were with uncomfortable bed, stinky pillow, black long curly women hairs on my pillow and bedlinen which I noticed straight after my arrival; the dirty, full of white (most probably dog's) hair on the luggage rack (like a small sofa), which obviously hasn't been cleaned after the last guest (if it has been vacuum cleaned at all). Bed cover (the one visible under bed sheets was not washed for a long time, so looked quite disgusting. The room and bathroom look more as hospital room & bathroom. The room doesn't have any cosiness or style to make you like or enjoy at least a little bit your stay.. Windows were terribly dirty. It was very warm in the room ( there wasn't any AC), but it wasn't possible to keep an window open, as the windows are very strange and besides I could hear the noise from some drunk people on the street all the three nights I stayed there. The bed is very uncomfortable as well and there were few signs that were not leaving an impression that you can trust the cleanliness... Only one lady (the oldest) from the receptionists was friendlier and more supportive, and had good English enough to give some useful tips. Breakfast room/ restaurant is looking dark, old and ugly and unfriendly. There is no way to have an espresso or cappuccino at breakfast. In general there wasn't the same variety of breakfast food as in other Scandic hotels. One elevator was out of order and as the hotel was full of people because of a big congress most us , the guest, were participating at, we had to wait long time every morning to get into the only available elevator. All these things leave the impression of a very cheap place, but prices at the same time weren't low, so this place is not worth the money and I would never stay there again if I have to go to Hameenlinna again.
