The old buildings are not renovated

Everything was perfect! I recommend this hotel especially for vacation with kids (of any age). All members of the family can find what to do, several pools, 3 beaches, entertainment program every evening, and this is not all :)

Location.
Serving times for beverages at the restaurant was too long, sometimes around 1 hour. The drinks would arrive after the meal was over.

the food was ok and excellent stuff actually heroes ..
it needs maintenance and upgrade , no room service , old and uncomfortable furniture etc…

Perfect location if you want a beach holiday. Beautiful privat beaches with good facilities. Nice big pool. Great staff, very friendly and helpfull. The place is super big and just georgeous, the buildings, the gardens, the fruit and olive trees. Every day walking back to our bungalow was great, very traditional, not modern build (roads, bungalows). Rooms are big. Nice evening entertainment. Food of good quality, better then other resorts I have been to in Crete, fresh, plenty of choice. Super view of sea while having dinner.
Beds were good, not great, matrass on soft side for me. 2x cold water in shower. The resort is so big, your bungalow can be 10 min walk from main building/pools etc. If you forget something in your room it can be annoying, otherwise not, because the scenery is beautiful.
Paying for water at dinner. If you pay for breakfast or dinner in a hotel basic drinks should be included that is the case with breakfast, not with dinner.

Staff: Reception - Maria was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and one of 3 staff who smiled & maintained eye contact on the entire resort. She made me feel welcome.
Restaurant: Food was not bad
Location: The beach has a spectacular sunset and shallow enough water to swim in with soft white sands.
Location: The Greek architecture made for some good photos
Location: Our room was on the edge of the village.
Facilities: Non functional WiFi (Maria resolved that by providing a working modem).
Facilities: Outdated tv (programs in German and Greek)
Staff: Bellboy did offer a lift to/from reception as he drove by me walking in the midday sun to/from reception.
Facilities: Beach chairs and umbrellas are insufficient for the number of guests.
Restaurant: 99% Tables are catered for large families as there's literally just 5 tables for couples.
Restaurant: Although the food was payed for, berverages start from €3

* The stuff is very pleasant and helpful.
* The hotel design is simply amazing.
* Maintenance is very good, everything is very clean.
* There are many beautiful pools in the hotel, including one indoor, and an amazing and well equipped beach with clear quiet water.
* There are many sport fields that can be used, including the equipment - Football, Tennis, Table Tennis, Mini Golf.
* There are some nice activities for children as playhouse and kids pool.
* The breakfast and dinner were very versatile and delicious.
* There was no equipment for coffee making in the room, or any type of kitchen, besides the refrigerator.
* The hotel location is outside of the village (~20 minutes of walking) which is not so bad, but makes going out a little more difficult.
* In dinner in order to drink water we had to buy a closed bottle each time, which is a little weird. In addition, there was no coffee availability in dinner. In general there was no place for free coffee making in the hotel.
I just want to say, all of those negative stuff are pretty much nothing in comparison to how much we enjoyed staying there!

The food was really good. A lot of variation to choose from. Breakfast and dinner.
Bottle of water in the hotel cost 3 euro!
At dinner time- the tap water is closed and if you are thirsty with the food.. you need to pay 3 euro for a bottle. It was really strange for us.

the resort looks gorgeous. it is huge in size. Rooms are relatively big and have great view.
Food is very good.
the facilities are great, huge huge pool and there are 3 of them. Tennis, mini golf, beach volleyball - really nice facility.
1. wifi - in the 80's I had better wifi. if you come with kids that consume a lot of bandwidth please consider an alternative solution to the one provided.
2. you have welcoming porch in the room, but do not have a kettle or any other means to drink coffee which is a shame.
3. kids bed, which are actually sofa, are mainly for small kids, and are not comfortable.
4. Hot Water in the rooms- fits to 2 short showers. the rest been to wait for the water to get warmed again. for a family of 5 - it needs to be consider.
5. it is annoying that at dinner they do not provide soft drinks (as they do in breakfast), not even water, and you must buy the water.

The hotel is spread over a large expanse of land and so you don't feel people are on top of each other. Also, it is laid out like a mini village so you wander different ways every time you walk around and it's set up high so you can see the sea all the time.
We loved being able to go from the pool to the beach in two steps - and the pool boy Edy was very helpful, making sure we got beds where we wanted every day.
You can see the sunset every day and it is beautiful.
The buffet breakfast and dinner always had good choices and you didn't have to queue. Once you have your food, you come outside to eat and the view over the pool to the sea is fabulous. We did half board and switched between lunch and dinner, going off resort for meals in the evening.
The three outdoor pools are excellent - the main one being 50m x 25m.
There are tennis courts and table tennis and mini golf to play whenever you want so we played a lot and enjoyed it.
The Entertainment team are good but they are not in your face at all.
The Reception team and bell boy/porter were incredibly helpful and friendly.
Apparently the hotel was at 50% capacity due to covid so I don't know what it would be like if it was at full capacity.
We walked to Sissi a few times and there are some choices to go for dinner. We also went to Milatos for dinner in a cab.
When we arrived, we were very disappointed with our room as one of the bedrooms in the bungalow did not have aircon and our son ended up sleeping in our room. The next day, the manager moved our room and upgraded us. I recommend checking what accommodation you are booking because the one we moved to was another level and gorgeous.

Generally friendly staff
Good size pool
Beach is great with warm water and nice sand
Buffet breakfast is good
Doctor on site in the morning we liked
Evening entertainment was generally pretty good fun
Free tennis, mini golf & gym is very good (the gym is well fitted out with modern equipment)
Bar drinks are well priced, so are snacks
Kid pool is pointless as it's 1 meter deep, so if you have a shorter child that doesn't swim it's worthless and the next size down is a baby pool 20 cm deep
The room safe uses keys - this is awful as they sink if they fall out in the pool, get lost and can easily be stolen, so someone can access your safe if you lose your key. Upgrading to digital codes is an absolute must as people can't gain access if you choose your own code
The door keys are also very out of date, most hotels use cards not physical keys, as again they can be lost more easily in a pool
The wardrobes barely have any drawers - pretty rubbish for a family staying for a week or two (see pic)
The bedside tables don't have any drawers, but appear to have what seemed like an old style record player facia (see pic) - very odd
The 3rd bed was almost little more than a camping bed (see pic), the other 2 were singles pushed together
No tea or coffee or drink making equipment in the room at all, not even a cork screw, nor any stationary
The hotel doesn't really seem to want to make money as they don't properly publicise anything, yoga, on site photographer, you name it, they fail to sell it well
The Spa is nice, but disgracefully over priced - 175 euros for massage is hysterical - again, they don't want to make money (drop the price 50% and it would be full)
We really did ave a good 10 days and there is a lot going for it, it has a nice atmosphere, they don't rip you off except for the spa and there is plenty to do, BUT, it is no where near 5 star. Our room was very clearly a 3 star room that would NEVER be acceptable in a 4 or 5 star resort, there may be better rooms, but a 5 star resort starts with great quality and improves, not here. Frankly, with a little investment and some smart project management, this place could be awesome, but for now it's pretty average
9.0 / 10.0
Lots of options for dining, pools, activities, beach, excursions…and a world class staff.
A little disorienting upon arrival and for first couple of days. The porter takes you to your villa…but a better map or quick tour would have been awesome.

Hugh own sandy beach, hugh pools, nice waves..
Variety of the foods.
Very good place for families.
The furnitures in the rooms/bungalows are old fashioned but mostly the A/C is the question as it can not really cold the rooms which would be important. Development needed which is in progress, it's visible.
You can leave the hotel mainly by tax. Bigger cities are far from the hotel (30 min)

We stayed at kalimera kriti for 7 days, i have to say the staff was very helpful, a special friend to costas the barman and andreas the maitre, he helped us a lot with every issue we had. The resort has a very nice pool and a decent beach. The room was very big and clean, with a view on the pool and the sea. The food is very good and high quality, good variety
The problem with this resort is that the all-inclusive isn't available and you have to pay everything you take apart, included the water at the dinner (3 euros for a bottle of water, no type included); we payed 20 euros for 2 tennis rackets and a few balls.

Very special location

Beautiful room in H block with a sea view, very modern and clean. The hotel did an excellent job despite Covid 19 to ensure we had everything we needed. The beaches were lovely and the huge pool perfect for our son. The night entertainment was a nice touch and even though we ate out in Sisi, we enjoyed coming back to the bar for a nightcap and watching the show.
Breakfast and lunches at the pool bar were lovely as were the facilities. very clean.
We were glad we didnt have half board because even though the food was decent, it was not particularly Greek and so we preferred to eat at different places.
