Family-run since 1893 for 4 generations and completely rebuilt in 2015 and 2016, Hotel Alte Post Bonaduz can be found in the centre of Bonaduz, at the entrance to the famous Ruinaulta Gorge. It offers a restaurant and free WiFi access.

Highly recommend! Wish we could have stayed longer

The staff were wonderful. The room was spacious and well appointed. We celebrated a family birthday there in the restaurant and the food was amazing and the staff made the celebration memorable.

If are elderly and are staying with your family, don't stay here.

A lot of things are great here. For example, since we stayed as a family, we had the whole hotel to ourselves( there are two hotels)! The breakfast is also great and he is so welcoming when you meet him. Also, he specially made scrambled eggs because we were a little bit late for our train.

The fact that there were two hotels were just a little bit annoying. We had 4 suitcases so it made it a little bit worse. If you are elderly and are staying with your whole family, I wouldn't stay here. You also have to eat breakfast in the other hotel. It is also a bit far from the Bonaduz train station so we had to walk a little bit to get there.

Exceptional

The hotel was exceptional from check in check out the stay was amazing. I ate in the restaurant and the food was beautiful and not overly expensive for the quality. A very nice stay!

Exceptional

Located in very nice village - supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants - all nearby. Very spacious rooms, nice interior. Staff always smiling and wiling to help. 5 min drive to Chur and 15 min drive to Flim ski lift.

Most recommended stay in Switzerland. 15min away from Chur Station.

Had an AMAZING stay! The room were super spacious, clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities. There is a really good bath where you can unwind while looking out to the mountains. We were greeted by the owner and the owners son, both were super kind and professional. The breakfast had a lot of options. Highly recommended stay in Switzerland. The location is 15min from Chur Station which you can travel on the Bernina express to Italy (return/one way)

High class hotel in a good location. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The room's architecture is not good. There is no door or blinds betwen bedroom and shower, no privacy. The toilet's door is straight to bedroom, so every time a person opens the door, lights are dazzling the sleeping partner. The variety of the breakfast can be better. On our second day, breads were dried to hell and not fresh.

Well run hotel in a small town

A real gem in Bonaduz!

This is a very special destination. It is run very efficiently by the most friendly and accommodating staff. The remodel is top quality and tastefully executed. I highly recommend staying here!

A perfect hotel.

it was an exceptional stay. the hotel is in the centre of the village, right on the hiking trail the rooms was beyond spacious and so well designed. it was absolutely perfect. the shower was just what was needed after a long day of hiking. all of the staff were outstanding.

Very good Restaurant and amazing staff. Good equipped rooms.

We stayed not in the actual hotel but a guest house close to the hotel. The room was very beautiful but not fully cleaned. Coffee cups, tissues dispenser... was dusty and some hairs on the floor in the bathroom.

Fabulous!

Excellent appartment/suite; New and clean; Very nice, helpfull and kind staff. Good restaurant; We're extremely satisfied. Good startingpoint for walks and tours in the region.

No complaints. Maybe airconditioning during the few hottest days/nights would have been welcome. But opening the windows in the evening, when temperature went down anyway, worked fine too.

A truly great place to stay!

The Hotel Alte Post is a very well appointed and maintained structure. Furnished with high quality materials and great taste. Beds, pillows...great quality ensuring a perfect rest. Great place to stay. Hat's off to the owners.

Breakfast could be a little bit more varied with more options, catering also for Vegans/ Vegetarians and Gluten Free or Lactose Free eating people.

It was a great and pleasant stay.

It is a second time and definitely not the last time we’re staying in this place, it is an amazing small family hotel, so beautiful, clean, thought about every small details. The room is very spacious and comfortable, all staff is so helpful, attentive and nice that its been a pleasure to stay at this hotel. We can’t wait to get back again to this place.

Our favourite hotel in Switzerland

Absolutely loved our stay in this wonderful family run hotel, the staff were all super friendly, the room was larger than a normal hotel room & exceptionally clean. The breakfast was of a high quality. Loved going down to the nice dining room each morning & being met with a big smile from the lovely Anna who always made us an excellent coffee. The hotel is right in the heart of the nice little village of Bonaduz which is a bit of a hidden gem in it's own right. Just a short walk to the train station each day for exploring the region. We spent 6 weeks in Switzerland & this special little hotel was by far the best one we stayed in. A big thank you to everyone at Hotel Alte Post for making our stay amazing. This will be the first place we will go on a return trip to Switzerland.

Just a couple of small things, the wifi had a tendency to drop out a bit when in the room. Also, a couple of cloths to clean & dry our cups would have been handy, but as I said, very small things in an excellent & extremely well run hotel.

A great choice. A very kind and attentive staff, very clean room, equipped with everything you need, very comfortable bed, I had a good night's sleep after a long journey. Come back!
