Lovely property would stay again
The air in the room and enclosed hotel area was stale needs refreshed with fresh air
3.0 / 5.0
Property is lovely , all the decor was superb and the secret garden was a treat!
We booked an evening meal and it left a lot to be desired! Service was very slow our starters came at the same time as the mains - not asked in that way but dumped down and said that’s how they serve it.
Food quality was on a par with a Wetherspoons I’m afraid for the evening meal
Breakfast was slightly better but again service seems so slow. Seemed to have plenty of staff but very little organisation and only 1 or 2 people doing all the work.
Slightly disappointing we have been coming to Chester for 10+ years for the races and always wanted to stop at this hotel but the food left a bitter taste so we won’t be returning.

The location was fantastic, the size space and set up was brilliant. The cleanliness and amenities were great.
The fan in the main bedroom en-suite was noisy even when switched off and the other en-suite door didn’t lock. Also the blinds let in quite a lot of light in the morning.

Comfortable bed and good location
The bathroom is quite strange that it’s all made of glass so there really isn’t any privacy. The breakfast was very poor and the room was very noisy at night due to there being a bar downstairs.
4.5 / 5.0
Location central, room very comfortable but no view.
Would have liked better parking facilities. I used Pepper street car park and the voucher system worked but the car park had very small spaces and only one way in and out.

Never had breakfast
Couldn’t fault the accommodation
3.0 / 5.0
Room decor was good, general hotel style was funky, location was excellent right in the heart of the city
lack of parking meant dealing with a random parking location nearby which did not have easy pedestrian access during the weekend. The bathroom/toilet was simply a glass box in the room with no privacy. I'm sure most people do not enjoy taking their ablutions in front of their family

The bed was really comfortable.
I couldn't find anywhere to charge my phone via a USB socket :(. Also, the lights were all near the door - being nearer to the bathroom (relevant ones) would have been easier.

very modern and well presented. comfortable bed and excellent shower. very conveniently located.
nothing really

Great location - loved the bar and the outside areas.
Room very clean - nice comfy bed. Loved it that you can open the window.
Great breakfast that went on till 10.30am and that check out was 12 - both what you want when having a weekend away.
Loved the note about Nurofen!!
The loo /visual /glass in the bedroom!!
Big water stains in the carpet from having a glass shower in the room!
On Saturday it was really noisy because of the bar - like being in a room over a pub, so not what I expected for £150!
Thankfully it all stopped at 10.30pm and on Sunday was quiet (although I imagine in the hot weather it's full most nights)
Also no price reduction on the local car park, so cost us £40!

Fun and quirky decor.
Cheerful helpful staff
There was quite a loud hum from the heating in our room.

away from hotel - not very well lit up for walking to property

location and quirky features
had to move rooms due to blocked sink and exposed ceiling where the air con unit was. moved rooms and still had the same problem! the coupe next door were screaming and arguing with each other all night ( which I have evidence off) shabby decor , dirty bedding , uncomfortable bed and pillows were awful didnt sleep a wink both nights , staff were helpful, gave us a bottle of Prosecco but felt we could have been offered more , a very expensive waste if money , very disappointing

Great location, nice decor, good sized room.
50% discount to use nearby car park.
Generator noise during the night woke us up and was on and off until the morning. Not the best nights sleep.

Central location, quirky

it was lovely and quirky
I would prefer more privacy at the toilet
5.0 / 5.0
The look of it, it’s quirky and beautiful, has a very relaxed feel about it without being boring. The sitting area is stunning, and the rooms are gorgeous and comfortable. the bed is massive and comfortable, the shower nice and powerful.
I can’t find a fault

Layout & bath.
Shower & toilet weren't t fantastic.
Toiletries were lacking slightly.
1.5 / 5.0
The secret garden
Noise, room felt grubby, being woke in the middle of the night by the fire alarm no one bothered to say it was a false alarm and no apology, luke warm water and very low water pressure in shower
5.0 / 5.0
The location, comfort and staff were faultless
No parking with the nearest parking (Pepper St multi storey) an absolute death trap!
