Overall nice stay, expected a little more.

Location and cleanliness

Staff could have been a little friendlier! They were not rude, but they could they could’ve been friendlier! Also, the last night of our stay, I went up to the pool, and everything was turned off (lights) before pool closing hours, and the pool was one of the features that attracted me to the hotel. A few items were missing, including an additional robe, a hairdryer and an iron. They did bring them up once I asked for them, but I feel like for such a nice hotel, Those items should already be in the room.

Not the weekend break we were hoping for. But the G Manger has assured us that this was a 1off

It was different. But I was not happy that we had to leave a damage deposit The hotel tried to charge for a cracked or broken light and it took the General Manger to resolve. So this spoiled the stay, as the front desk were very rude.

The front desk should be more pleasant and the Pool should have someone there to serve drinks etc.

Bar staff was great, helpful knowledgeable and friendly.

Front desk staff did not have the rooms available at time of check-in. Room service was inconsistent. Only cleaned my room one out of three days. Never had extra towels and bare minimum of a room resources. Towel Soap fresh towels (only one of each felt like it was being rationed same as key cards, which was tacky).

This hotel needs a refresh if it expects to get top $ for the rooms.

The location of the hotel is good for restaurants and sightseeing. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The entire hotel has a cool urban vibe and the neighborhood is trendy.

The room was a good concept that did not work in the end. The sink was on one divided side of the room and the shower on the other side. The room had several different levels and a confusing layout. My friends were in other less confusing rooms.

Beds were super comfortable, location was great, wifi great, sauna was awesome.

Frustrating that the rooftop closes at 8- as responsible adults here for work, we should be able to utilize this area when we want. Pool is a bit cold. I feel that, for the price you are paying, the value could be better.

Exceptional

Demetria is unique and a very special property. From the moment we drove up, the staff including Sr. Angel, were exceptionally helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. It is Modern but at the same time juxtaposed with timeless cultural historical artifacts throughout the property. The rooms are spacious, clean, beds very comfortable. You can set the temperature in your room to your own specifications for comfort. I would return to Demetria without hesitation.

I had a pleasant stay.

The food was very good, excellent location. All the workers were very nice. Comfortable beds. The hotel is very different and pretty. Loved the pool area.

Food service is extremely slow. Housekeeping needs to improve and clean the glassware evert day and change towels when they are not hung. A closet with no hangers. Safety protocol in the hotel very bad. Using the entrance of the hotel for parties is very inconvenient for hotel guests and very loud.

requested a king bed was upgraded to 2 queens, which didnt want. there was a beer bottle on the balcony from a past guest there was blood on the sheets - we were offered a room move at 10pm.... no thanks.

I will return to this hotel again soon.

The location was excellent. (I don't eat breakfast.) The swankiness of the space and architectural ideas to me were the most pleasant and memorable. The restaurant and its service were very good also.

I didn't like 3 things: 1. The placements of electrical outlets were useless for the use of my computer. 2. The shower head that could not be adjusted well enough. 3. The sink slashed water.

good location, very spacious rooms and bathrooms

the vacuum cleaners don’t reach the sides of the rooms so they are thick with dust. the pool area needs some love. the place is disjointed in terms of desk/elevator etc being far apart so rarely saw staff

Beautiful hotel with a solid attached restaurant. The room were comfortable.

We had a little bit of trouble sleeping. The blankets on the queen beds aren't quite large enough for two people.

Loud Pool Party

A very beautiful room and comfortable beds. Very clean, nice staff. Extremely romantic!

1 month before arriving at Demetria we communicated with the hotel to tell them we were getting married the day before our stay and were staying one night at Demetria before going to the airport for our honey moon the day after. I asked them if they could decorate the room with some flower petals or something for us and they said yes (but this did not end up happening). My husband is from Guadalajara and had heard many great things about the hotel, I saw photos and it looked so romantic and artistic so we paid the 250 USD for one night. It was something we were very excited about. When we got to the hotel we heard booming music and they told us there was a pool party upstairs. And that we could get in free if we wanted to. We were exhausted from our wedding and wanted to take a bath and a nap in the beautiful room before going for dinner and coming back for the night. The music was vibrating the walls and we heard screaming and shouting that lasted all day. We got there at 3 o’clock and the party went until 10 pm. We tried to nap but had to put music, white noise, and run the bath in order to not hear the music so loud. But even then the room was still vibrating with the bass. We went out to dinner and came back to the same noise. We turned on a movie to distract from the noise and get to sleep to get up early for the airport in the morning. The music finally died down and then in the room next to us 5 minutes later the party continued for some. The music was heard even louder next door then it was at the rooftop pool party. We had to call reception and they got it turned off and we went to bed, but again at 1 am it started and we called again. In the morning we left to the airport feeling like our money was not well spent. Demetria was a very beautiful hotel, but we wish our stay would have gone differently. We were dissapointed. We wish the hotel would have contacted us ahead of time tell us about the pool party and give us another option to stay another night.
