Excellent food with great service and exceptional view. I believe they are doing an excellent job remodeling the facilities. The staff really went off their way to give an exceptional service.

The bathroom in room was a little dirty and needed more attention.

POOR Cleaning of guest rooms was our biggest disappointment!/ We found unknown insects (suspect bed bugs) in my 12yr old son bed, and I immediately requested a room change which was not voluntarily offered on the first hand by the manager.
The "hotel lab investigation team" reported no pest infestation nor bed bugs but definitively my son was bitten by what appear to be bed bugs. After the first night, we found the bugs in his bed and took pictures of his rash (axilla/torso ) and the bugs and showed them to the hotel manager, who took it "lightly" and only, after me requesting some compensation for the lost time and inconvenience of his rash, offered to deduct the resort fee of $65 per day x 2 nights out of our 4 night stay from my final bill in addition to switching me to another room.
So, my advice is to be watch full for bed insects and uncover /check your bed linen /mattress cautiously every night before going to sleep. Also don't walk barefoot inside your room since the carpet maybe where the bugs hide and maybe my son walk on his socks and brought those to the bed.
Our rooms smelled musty. We stayed in 5120 and 5107 at The Brisas bldg.
Very limited breakfast venues, only "Ventana rest" which is expensive. The buffet was pricy for its limited selection.
No night entertainment from Monday to Thursday which are the days that we stayed. Only a DJ at the main lobby from 7p to 11p but no one dancing. They should have movie nights/Bingo nights, other shows or form of entertainment just like in the Cruise ships or all inclusive hotels.
Best by far are the included entrance to the Coqui waterpark for the young ones and the boat ride to the hotel owned Palomino island. However, once you are there they have chairs and umbrellas but the included ones run low and if you arrive after 12 noon you run the chance of finding none of the free ones available.

The place is lovely and luxurious. It is set up on 2 levels which are accessed by a funicular. This trip is time consuming, but reasonable.
The property told us upon arrival that the Booking.com reservation did not exist! I reserved a 500 sq. Foot room and they “could only accommodate” my 2 adult and 2 children in a half size room! It was a mess. My daughters were crying, and the mistake was fully theirs. My family had communicated food allergy info., and room assignment preferences, which were responded to by the hotel! Then after air and rental car, the resort was not organized enough to honor the reservation. The room we got has malfunctioning air conditioning. The room temperature was 62 degrees, even AFTER engineering kept us up until almost midnight with no effect on our ridiculously cold room. Not fixed for 3 of 4 days! (We moved.)

Not enough boats to get you to the island.

Absolutely beautiful property with sweeping views and amazing gardens. Something for everyone from families to business events to romantic getaways
I wish it were clearer in the reservation process what amenities were near each of the room choices. Las Brisas is on the top of the hill where almost all the amenities are - restaurants, pools, stores. The Marina is very separate (at the bottom of the funicular) and very few food or store options, though the water park, ferry to Palomino Island, and spa are in that area. It’s a vast property and it would help to know!

Everything was amazing! Many pools to choose from; the water park with adjacent infinity pool was so clean. The boat to the private island was so convenient and the island was not crowded
No complaints at all!
1.0
The view.
There was no way to get on the private island yet we paid a $65 resort fee per day to be able to access the island. There weren't really any good restaurants in the resort and it was $65 cab rides to get anywhere else. You also only had one cable car functioning to get to our room and we had to wait in lines to get to and from our room every time we left. We didn't realize there wasn't an all adult pool. We were never able to go in the pool with the swim up bar because it was so packed with kids. There was also a lack of night life.

Everything
Palomino island. It should be more clean. I got sad when I saw that the beach water was dark without the spectacular blue that identifies Palomino. More attention. Get back the original hotel transportation to the island. The hotel boat is better than the companies that are giving that service. I hope that it gets better, cause El Conquistador is my favorite hotel!!!

The food was good at Brisas, but poor service. The coffee shop has an excellent coffee and acai.
It dosent have room service. Brisas restaurant close at 11 am :/ thats a big NO
If you are hungry between 11 am-3 there's only one other place open "Bella Vista" with burgers, nuggets things like that, and then the Mexican one that opens at 3 or 4 dont remember.

Water park and the island.
It took 90 minutes to check in Friday night! Holiday week and it truly was unprepared to handle the guests. Seriously put water available for your guests in the lobby, such an inexpensive item to offer and means the world to weary travelers. Every hotel across the board has it!

facilities and food. great food!
the water park the palomino island all
of it is great!
they need to improve in bellman services and the check in and check out process. the check out should be available thru television so no lines are needed. for check in maybe have an on line pre register to make the process faster. if the paperwork is done in advance then only pick up the keys. there was a very long check in and to pick up the keys an even longer one. staff is awesome and very nice but the process is much to slow.

Incredible property with breathtaking views! We did not want to leave. Resort has so many perfectly thought of amenities. the restaurants, water park, pools, private island trip. we are definitely coming back.
bathrooms in the brisas wing were outdated and there was poor bathroom ventilation which made the room humid.

I enjoyed the access to food, the view, and the trip to the rainforest
I enjoy the resort, however the room service was below satisfaction. On several occasions throughout my stay, I had to call to request room service each day after service was being provided next-door to me. Each day after calling for service housekeeping was upset they had to return and clean our room later in the afternoon after returning from the beach. This was disturbing because each day we would see room service next-door.
One day, after requesting housekeeping, they return dirty sheets on the beds, and did not clean our bathroom, however, gave us clean linens. My other complaint is I requested a taxi from the airport via the hotel, however, waited an hour without a return call to pick me up. After waiting at the airport for our are used a taxi service at the airport to reach the destination.
After a few days, we felt unwanted and realized that our room wasn’t going to be cleaned. We also booked to go to the private island a few days while we were there. However, we always receive the later time. This was unfortunate because we was able to get on the boat each day at an earlier time because the boat wasn’t crowded. I guess you get where I’m going with this message and I don’t think I need to say anymore
My last request and problem I’m not sure if this was the hotel or booking.com as I requested a dozen of roses, which was not in the room This was disappointing because they were being sent for a birthday.
Closing overall my stay was good however, the house staff was not inviting to me and my family. I had a great experience with a concierge who helped us navigate through events, such as the rainforest and booking times to the private island.

Breakfast buffet was very good. Also there is a local café shop as other option.
The my daughter enjoyed very much the coqui waterpark. Beaches nearby are beautiful. Also overall the hotel views are amazing and facilities very pretty.
To add night music show.
