Die Freundlichkeit des Personals im Allgemeinen und speziell von Dylan, dem F&B Manager und verantwortlich für Wine Tastings Richtig klasse, dass in unserer Übernachtung Frühstück und ein Wine Tasting inkludiert war. Dylan und Willy haben uns auf sehr informative Weise die 5 Weine nahe gebracht und sich viel Zeit genommen. Unser Zimmer war sehr geschmackvoll afrikanisch eingerichtet, es gab 1 Flasche Wein und Wasser umsonst. 2 (!) große begehbare Duschen haben uns begeistert. Die Matratzen der Betten waren sehr gut

Frühstück: es fehlte am Personal entweder im Service oder in der Küche. Auf Eierspeisen musste man bis zu 30 Minuten und heisse Getränke auch lange warten. Gerne hätten wir Brot gegessen (es gab nur Croissants oder Muffins) und Milch zum Müsli gehabt. Leider gibt es im Weingut von 11:00 - 18.00 jeden Tag Wine Tastings und viele Gruppen kommen vorbei. Als Hotelgast ist es leider störend, wenn man gemütlich auf der Terrasse oder beim Kamin sitzen möchte.

Gorgeous wine state to spend a few days in the area

The property is beautiful, it has extraordinary views, the food is great, excellent wines... In spite of experiencing a power blackout caused by a heavy windstorm that left the area without power for a few days, they managed to make our stay memorable.

Empfehlenswerte Unterkunft mit super weinen und sehr freundlichem Personal.

Die Lage ist fantastisch, der Blick in die Weinberge, die Aussicht über den Pool hinweg in die hügelige Landschaft und die Räume/Zimmer sind authentisch ausgestattet und großzügig geschnitten

Leider war die Dusche ohne Druck, es tröpfelte mehr als dass es ein richtiger Schauer war

Quirky and beautiful, made even better by the staff.

Great location, friendly staff, excellent food and wine.

Could not shower in the morning - no water despite no load shedding (pump had tripped). Rooms were too far apart so had to split up 1 parent in each room.

Fabulous location, excellent facilities, super friendly and knowledgeable staff

Beautiful setting overlooking the vineyard and citrus farm. We had the family suite which worked very well for us. The Manor House looked fabulous so would love to stay there next

Disappointing

it’s is a beautiful wine estate with plenty of potential

no loadshedding accommodations. we ate our dinner in complete darkness with only our cell phone lights to see what we were eating. the pump that supplied our room with water blew when the power came back on so we were move clear across the estate to a different guest house that needed a bit of cleaning before anyone should have been allowed to stay there. the staff was friendly but you could tell they were defeated by the lack of any accommodations for loadshedding. we found out the owner only visits from France a couple times a year so I’m sure he has no clue and doesn’t care about what pressures he has put his staff under. plus they should really pick a lane and either be a winery with tasting room or a b&b. we left 2 days early and only stayed one night. until they get some sort of solar or generators or pick a lane I would not recommend staying here!

Gorgeous wine farm with great service.

Really appreciated the extra mile the tasting room manager went for my team and I. I cant recall if its Dyllan or Darren, nonetheless, he just started there 1 month ago and really made every effort to ensure a seamless and comfortable stay for us. Would definitely stay there again!

Disappointed overnight stay

Location and friendly staff.

We paid R4000 for a family room that did not resemble the website pictures. I expected a modern place. Except for the beautiful bathroom, the rest needs a serious upgrade and maintenance. I can expand if you need. I asked for a quiet place, but I received the room closest to the reception. The water pipe runs through our main bedroom and was noisy when other rooms use water. Loadshedding was for 8 hours ( on and off ) during our 20 hour stay, which also meant no showering was possible. Lady on duty( Cathy)received my complaints, promised to discuss with manager( Cisca) but no response to date from anybody. I cannot get hold of them via phone or email. Not good value for money.

Location of the property. Stunning part of the Cape wine-lands

We were told a few days before our stay that there is no water in the taps without electricity. Load-shedding affects us all and is here to stay. I feel that they should make a plan…We could not wash our hands/ shower prior to a wedding we had to attend. Perhaps sanitiser/wipes should be placed in the rooms? We were charged R600-00 one way taxi fee (2km) from Kanonkop wine estate to Marianne. The service at breakfast was poor.
