We had an amazing host. He was very polite, kind and really care about his guests. Felt like we were at our favourite uncles' house. The place is situated in a quiet area, which was a bonus for us! The breakfast was very nice and the croissants tasted like it was baked by angels😊I have never felt so at home at a place far from my home! The staff ia friendly always so willing to help or explain things when we didn't understand something. It is really value for money. And definitely a place that I will choose as my first choice of accommodation in Franschhoek.
Absolutely nothing.

The pool and the large communal kitchen diner
it’s a long way from the centre of Franschhoek but that I’d reflected in the price. No USB socket in bedrooms.

just a lovely place. nice patio for breakfast and pool area.

The property is on the outskirts of town in a quiet location. There's a small swimming pool. The room was clean and spacious enough.
The owner, who greeted us, didn't seem too enthusiastic about his calling. Not much enthusiasm, and a little "down". When he engaged us it felt perfunctory. Maybe we "just didn't hit it off". Other places we stayed on our trip provided "extra touches" e.g. complimentary water. Also, the breakfast, while adequate, didn't compare for variety (although the staff were engaging). This was one of our more expensive stays on our trip, and although I expect Franschhoek attracts a premium, for the price the experience as a whole was average.

Very comfortable bed.
Friendly staff.
Breakfast on the patio - great flapjacks!
Easy walk in to town, uphill on the way back though!

Superb accommodation, looks exactly as on the pictures. We were lucky to be the only people in the house for 2 nights and effectively had the full house for ourselves. Ideal for booking as a group - the common space downstairs is superb with state-of-art fireplace. Nice breakfasts cooked just for you. Small but very clean pool and nice garden.

Superb location as you can walk anywhere around Franschhoek. The staff were great, really friendly and always helpful!
There could have been some dairy alternatives at breakfast.

Breakfast was exceptional!

Beautiful guest house with a European feel and fantastic views all round. Our breakfast was delicious and the staff were very attentive and warm. We'd be happy to visit again!
The water pressure in our shower was low and it would have been great to have a few more coffee sachets for the room. But all minor issues, we were very happy with the accommodation overall.
4.5
Comfortable accommodations and a wonderful breakfast. Friendly staff.
No usb charging ports which are needed for international guests so as to not buy a local plug. The TV did not plug in, the floor lamp did not plug in. Neither was needed but attention should be paid to details like that.
