Found a bug-like beetle in the bed; hotel kept an incremental authorisation on my card for a month even after we paid in full.

Due to the weather we decided to leave our beach fale accommodation in favour of a hotel and the Tanoa Tusitala Hotel did not disappoint. Lovely setting, comfy beds, clean room, friendly staff, great breakfast
we had to leave! everything was great

We got 2 rooms we had booked and one room was a twin that's about it.
The hotel was run down noisy the swimming pool needed maintenance. There was a rowdy large group of children and with their parents who took over the whole pool and were jumping in splashing and shouting.
We complained to the staff and they did nohing about it so everyone else had to leave.
The breakfast was basic the walls in the rooms thin so we could hear the guests in the room next to us.
The whole place needs mending and updating as it is looking very sad.
The staff weren't very helpful.

conveniently located in the city, the rooms were clean and staff were lovely - the pool seemed small but served its purpose in the sweltering samoan sun! Aircon was welcome relief
minor maintenance issues like the door handle to our room broke but it was resolved efficiently.

Very tidy and comfortable great location.

Location is great. Rooms are air conditioned, spacious and comfortable - we had a garden view which was beautiful. The carvings in the undercover walkways have been highlighted in colour which look great and show off the workmanship and beauty. Pool area is cool, relaxing and well maintained. Fiafia night on Wednesday is a great addition! The food was delicious, the entertainment vibrant and good service by the staff. Parking is handy and safe. Having a Janet's store on site is great as handy for unplanned purchases and last minute gifts.
Rooms need an update (including bathroom/shower) and an injection of colour/Samoan flavour. When we arrived, the TV remote was broken and was quickly replaced (minor inconvenience but attention to detail is important). Suggest bigger size bath towels please!

Close to town but didn’t feel like you were in town. Staff were amazing.
Meet our expectations for our short trip. Variation to breakfast each day was great.

The property is in a central location, close to the town centre of Apia which includes the Fugalei market, cultural centre and much more. It’s also very clean and well looked after. The breakfast buffet every morning was well catered with a good variety. The hotel also offers Curry Night on a Sunday and FiaFia night on a Wednesday - both fantastic cultural events which we thoroughly enjoyed taking part in.
The pool had a few chunks of plaster missing from the bottom - but nothing of concern, still lovely to swim and relax in.

Our room...always mosquitoes in the room. Water was constantly flowing out of the shower every time it was used. Bed very uncomfortable.

The reception staff was a great help checking us in early and we really appreciated his help. The Janet’s boutique was a bonus, the staff was efficient friendly and knowledgeable. The location is perfect for visitors with walking distance to town.
The room was not cleaned properly, dirty towels and sheets were not changed. Floors in the room and bathroom were not swept and mopped. Dirty dishes were left behind. Poor cleaning standards, we even tipped the cleaner before she cleaned the room and she left the room in a poor state. Bed was not made properly, bench tops left dirty.

Not so much to not like. Staff tried to clean rooms however we were always in and out we had to request replace towels.

Had a really nice day at the Tanoa. A warm greeting from Siri and a really good check out experience from the Manager Salah who solved a small issue very professionally.
The room was comfortable, and the food and beverages were great, excellent staff all round
The beach in front of the hotel is not swimmeable

The staff were very friendly & accommodating. The room was clean & tidy.
Our shuttle bus was not at the airport upon our arrival, which had been confirmed 2 weeks prior to our trip, so our family of 18 had to catch 4 taxis to get to the hotel.
The shower had a little bit of mould on the tiles, the room was cleaned daily however the sheets were not changed for the duration of our stay. Not much of a variety for the breakfast buffet.

Gym (although equipment a little run down), pool
constantly having problems with swipe key, room door lock was broken, bed uncomfortable, visited reception desk 3 times to confirm a shuttle to the airport (4am pick up) only to not be on the shuttle list - frustrating problem especially at that time of the morning!

the grounds are nice, as is the location. the internet connection is good. Free water is provided in the room (not the case in other hotels in Apia). The staff is really nice.
the rooms are gloomy. the cleaning is very questionable (both the room/toilet as well as the blanket were not very clean). it’s outrageously expensive for what you get. the shower goes from hot to cold to hot to cold water. I complained and someone came to fix the issue but didn’t resolve it. The breakfast is pretty basic. the restaurant menu is very small.
