Villa Paolo is an absolute dream. We definitely plan to go back!!
Everything was flawless. The gardens are beautiful, the view stunning. We love that the villa has a sustainable garden and all the local produce was delicious.

gorgeous property with amazing gardens, views of the sea and the city of Tropea. wonderful to watch the sunset and have an aperitif!

This is a real gem - highly recommended. From the moment we arrived the service from Francesco and all the members of staff was top-notch. They went out of their way to ensure we were having an enjoyable stay, without ever being intrusive.
Personal touches (chocolates, notes, etc.) were discrete and very tasteful. The property itself is quirky and has been refurbished to a good standard. There are also very pleasant grounds to stroll around, with exceptional views out over the sea and towards Tropea. I would also highly recommend dinner here: Luca was a knowledgeable host with an infectious enthusiam for local produce and the food heritage of Calabria. Our meal was another highlight of our stay, with some memorable courses and rounded off with an intriguing Calabrian digestif (Joachim). The only downside was not having as much room as we might have liked for the generous breakfast spread in the morning! Overall, a wonderul stay, and we would very happily return for longer.
This was a one-night stop for us as part of a trip around Southern Italy - we would have wanted to have stayed longer!

When we booked the accommodation, I thought it looked too good for be true. But the hotel exceeded all our expectations! We stayed there one week in end of May. The garden was blossoming at the time we were there, which made the garden incredibly beautiful, like a fairy tale. However, the thing that made this hotel to be the best hotel I have stayed at was the staff! Everyone was super friendly and polite, they made us feel welcomed and they didn't hesitate to help us with booking wine tasting or answer any question we made had. Our experience would not have been the same if it wasn't for the staff and their excellent level of service.
They didn't have things like small bottles of body lotion, makeup sticks, makeup pads etc. in the hotel room. But shower gel and shampoo.

The tasting dinner on the night of our arrival was wonderful and not expected

Beautiful grounds, lovely staff, exceptional swimming pool.
TV didn't work without a lot of effort. Not enough shade near pool in afternoon. Floorboard gap outside bathroom in our room.

The restaurant food could be better, although breakfast was excellent

it’s location, many gardens and the building itself.

The building and grounds were beautiful with great views of the sea and Tropea. Welcome drink was provided. We enjoyed hiking to the marina/beach and back.
Our superior room was dark and did not have the views we expected. The room (201)was in the corner and had little light coming into the room. Also, the water in our shower did not drain and as a result poured into the bathroom.

Fantastic place, fabulously renovated, divine view and garden. Impressive!
There is literally no food apart from breakfast. The lunch Menu is very limited and no food option in the evening. I would have appreciated at least some fruit or cake / sweets in the afternoon. Snack for in between etc.

Fantastic place, lovely renovated situated in the most amazing grounds. Loved the garden and landscaping.
The food. Lunch menu limited and otherwise no option to get a snack. Not even fruit!

It was wonderful.
The view: the garden, the marina, the old city of Tropea.
The room: very comfortable and chique. The balcony had a great view.
The breakfast: nicely varied. Pistachio butter, bergamot jam, delicious. On the patio it was a beautiful start of the day.
The people: kind and helpful.
We had a disappointing diner. Sorry to say. There re many good alternatives the staff pointed out to us. Food in Italy can be phenomenal. The staff was so good.

Beautiful gardens, very well kept. Interior impeccable, room and bathroom very clean. Nice pool. Very quiet location. Wonderful staff.
I would have loved to have a rainshower! Dinner on the first night was excellent, second night was just okay.
