séjour agréable dans l'ensemble même si tout n'était pas parfait ....

chambre correcte, salle de bain de belle surface terrasse repas sur place plage à proximité navette pour l'aéroport au retour amabilité du personnel à la réception, entrée du restaurant, femmes de chambres le parc bien entretenu

chambre un peu exiguë sans possibilité de s'asseoir ailleurs que sur le lit ou un pouf, ou éventuellement sur la terrasse si la température le permettait poser deux valises relève du Tétris ne pas avoir une serviette pour s'éponger les cheveux devoir monter soi même ses bagages au 2 ième étage (étant séniors nous aurions apprécié une petite aide) desserts pour la plupart "préfabriqués" et certaines réflexions de certaines personnes au service au buffet le verre de vin imposé au diner je n'ai trouvé que de l'eau plate au restaurant mais peut être ai-je mal regardé ?

Disappointing

Except the view , nothing !

Room smells very bad. A lot of humidity. Check out at 10 A.M. !! Bad breakfast. I am sorry but not worth a three star ! It seems that because i took only 1 night i got probably the badest room of the Hotel !

I have a mixed feeling about our stay ..

AC in the room was working perfectly. Dinners were good, great selection, lots of healthy options - veggies, salad. Restaurant housekeeping staff were very nice. rooms clean, with balcony. pool was very nice

1) Noise from discos around the hotel was terrible! 4 out of our 6 nights in the hotel were sleepless due to loud music till 6am. (the other 2 nights were stormy so I guess this is why clubs were closed) they should at least provide an ear plugs, and consider soundproofing rooms.. 2) staff barely speaks english so it was difficult to communicate. I asked staff at their tourist office to help me book a tour, as tour they offered was sold out. They refused to help me, and were talking and laughing in french behind desk, knowing I cannot understand- very rude. 3) breakfast selection was very poor if you don’t or can’t eat sweet breakfast. sometimes there was a tomato, but no other veggies. no oats or nuts. 4) no fridge in the room, I booked double room and we’ve got a room with 2 single beds 5) at the check in we were only told what time meals are served. no other info. I would expect to be told about their entertainment, eg. tennis, aqua classes etc.. if they don’t speak english they should at least have a leaflet in english that they could share with us. in my opinion this isn’t a foreign- friendly hotel. This is a nice hotel with a lot of entertainment ONLY IF you are French (or speaking French) family with kids and grandparents. if you’re not, then you should consider another hotels

Good

Good service from well organized staff. Location at the beach with a nice big pool is perfect. Shops and restaurants in walking distance.

The noise from the bar opposite to the hotel (it was not every evening, but when active it is very loud until 2.00), especially if you have a room on the main street side of the building.

Rip-off - stay away if you could

The sun beds and umbrellas are for free.

Rip-off for what I got - 189€ per night! The hotel screams for major renovation. Behind the layers of paint, you can't hide the smell of mold, literally everywhere. The breakfast, except for the croissants, everything else is the cheapest. Better go to a patisserie near by. I asked to get an airport shuttle but the receptionist told me that she can't order a taxi for me and only to give me a phone number (which btw was lost cause since you should have a reservation in advance). I had hair in the bathroom from previous visitors. And the most ridiculous - the bathroom's ventilation window looks at the staircase and is fully transparent so no privacy while taking a shower. I could continue with more points ....but the list is getting long :)

Awful smell, very noisy

The check in staff was delightful and super helpful.

Our room had an overpowering smell of mold and elements of black mold were visible in the bathroom. We had to sleep with the windows open and then it was very noisy as people left the bar and hung around the gardens.

To be avoided

A very old and tired hotel!!! The room smelled of damp, and so did the whole ground floor of the building. Everything in the room looked half clean as well as very old and used. This is a tour operator style hotel that has absolutely no charm to it. No wifi or even phone service in the room! for the price of the room, I expected a LOT better. The only thing is the staff who were very professional and helpful.

Other than the closed gym which I didnt like, rest was fine.

They advertise a gym but gym was closed. i chose this place because of the gym.

Superb

I had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Marina Viva. The room was clean, comfortable and had excellent air con. It was in a quiet part of the complex which was useful as some of the evening entertainment carried on until quite late. The view of the Bay of Ajaccio from the seared area by the beach was spectacular, particularly in the evening. The quality of the hotel breakfast was good too. Swimming pool was nice and clean. Hotel is also a 10 min walk from the jetty which the boat to Ajaccio departs from. All in all, very good stay.

Lack of WiFi is the only the negative for this property. I would also recommend not getting a taxi from Ajaccio to the hotel as it cost me 45 Euros. Admittedly this isn’t the hotel’s fault but worth mentioning if you don’t know about the ferry across the bay from Ajaccio or its timetable.

Fabulous

Very nice, polite and flexible personnel. The hotel offer washing machines and dryers services for really cheap.

It was far from Ajaccio center. No wifi.
