Its a family hostel, so señora Luz's family runs it. Everyone is very gentle and kind, and señora Luz makes a mean breakfast. The bedrooms are very confortable, my matress was a little weird, but overall the suite is 👌🏽. Internet also worked charmly and we had a lot of animals around us. The beach is near, but not the main beach, but a little one wich has rocks so wear the beach shoes that the hostel offers (they also lend you snorkel gear which is great). Shared kitchen was very organized and everything is very clean. Overall a very nice place to stay, tottaly recommend it.
Well, the only thing is that can be a little far from the beach/centro to go walking for some people (20min) and the walk to the market/to centro in the afternoon is killing hot (not their fault, obviously), but you can easily catch a bus and go around the island.

Location was quiet for those looking for a more relaxed stay on the island. Dona Luz was extremely helpful to us despite our language barrier. Would definitely recommend
20 minute walk into town but we didn’t mind

Loved the family run motel and the artistic building style. The woman who ran the motel was super nice. She offered me coffee in the morning and a beer in the evenings. The bed was super comfortable and the ac and wifi were all functioning well. It was super quiet at night.
The location was a bit difficult since it was far from the center of the city but taxis were fairly inexpensive and there was a bus that u could take also that came every 30 mins on the main road.

+ Very kind service!! She did our wash (20k COP) and orderered a taxi every time we asked to go to the city centre (20k COP one way). She was very genuinely interested and always had a friendly smile.
+ AC in the room
+ There's a nice wall in the garden which is home to several lizzards. They appear especially in the morning.
- There were a lot of ant looking insects walking on the walls of the room, in the bathroom and eventually in our bed as well (see picture). Luckily, they didn't bite, but it made an itchy feeling in bed everytime there was one walking on you. (Which happened 5 out of the 5 evenings we spent here).
- Our room was next to the kitchen which one family used as their living room for 3 days from 7 a.m. untill 9 p.m. This was extra annoying since the rooms are poorly isolated and they made a lot of noise (phone music on, loud conversations). There are ventilation holes above the door and the door is pretty thin which makes it almost as if there's no door in between as for the sounds.
- We had a separate bathroom in a different room so each time you wanted to go to the toilet or shower you had to cross the kitchen where often other guests would eat or chill while you're in your underwear if you want to go quickly.

We had such a lovely warm welcome from Christian and his mum! Our room was big and ideal and the facilities of the place were great! Christian and his mum were huge help in setting up excursions and transport for us.
It is a little far from the centre but we found out from the owners that the buses run regularly and it’s also easy to arrange other transportation such as mopeds, golf carts or taxis.

Friendly and attentive hosts are always ready to answer any questions and offer advice on local attractions, extra services are available upon request (for ex. scooter rentals). Located in a safe area about a 20min walk (or 5-minute bus ride) to the main beach, the facility allows for a quiet stay, away from the noisy downtown area. After enjoying a month at this property I can highly recommend it and I am looking forward to coming back!
Nothing to dislike. Thank you, Christian, M-F, and "dad"! :)

The stuff was helpful.
The walls are too thin and you can hear everything. It’s very noisy in the mornings and there is no good ventilation in the rooms. No hot water.

Accommodation was great, comfortable and clean. There were all the services we needed and the hosts were extremely helpful and very positive people, which made our stay very enjoyable. It was not close to the city center (which is very busy) so it was nice to be in a quiet zone, and it was very easy to reach the city center by taxi or bus.
Once you get out from the main road, the internal road to the hostel is not the best (this is why taxi drivers don't want to drive you there or they charge you more - but if you ask for a ride and stop at the beginning of the internal road and continue walking to the hostel, taxi driver are more happy to give you the ride and they don't overcharge you).

The place and definitely the staff, Liz and Cristian were very kind and always available to help.

Very basic but clean and secure accommodations with air conditioning and a shared kitchen with shared refrigerators. There is a grill available for use if you want to cook out. Some rooms have private baths, others have shared baths. It's a guest house, sort of like a hostel, but quieter and more family oriented, as opposed to a party atmosphere. It's at the end of a long alley in a quiet, safe residential neighborhood. The bus stop and ocean is in walking distance, and from the top of Rock House you can see the ocean. We always felt secure.
The hotel manager was great, and very helpful. He really is what makes the place worth returning to.
The bed were not too comfortable and only had 1 sheet, but they were adequate. We had a private room, but you could hear conversations right outside, and thus - vice / versa. We found ourselves speaking almost in whispers while in our rooms.

The rooms, the staff was extremely helpful and nice
Distance from the city, but that's what made it cheaper and worth it more compared to what else was available
