Clean. Staff are very friendly, helpful and supportive
Everything went great and smooth

People at the reception were very friendly and helpful, the place was clean and the breakfast was very good. From the city center it's a 10-15 min walk uphill, so it offers a great view on Sankt Gallen. Highly recommended.
I had some trouble connecting to the WiFi, but it was not a big deal for me.

The staff was nice and helpful. The hostel has a great view of the city and has a nice garden. The facilities were in good condition.
The reception is closed between 10-17, which was annoying. The room smelled like a swimming pool. There was only one small fridge for the entire hostel. Access by car is difficult, parking is only possible quite far away.

Access to a microwave and kettle in the canteen.
Although the staff was friendly they messed up my booking. The hostel was busy but not completely full. However someone decided to assign me to a room of a cook who lives and works at the hostel instead of a bed in a regular room (there were many families with kids but it shouldn't matter as everyone is an equal customer). The room I got was on the sub-basement floor and not refurbished so not as nice as in photos: small windows that couldn't be open, squeaky, hard to open WC & shower rooms that are a nightmare to use at night. The cook, a nice guy, was a smoker so the room smelled of cigarettes and it was very stuffy. There was only one plug at one end of the room so the extension lead ran across the room to power his gear. There was another person in the same situation as me and equally disappointed. It was unfair on us and as well as the cook to be in the same room especially as the cook had to wake up at 5:30 am to start work. That caused a bit of conflict when the other guy came back from the town at 2 am. Ridiculous situation that could be avoided as there were empty beds in rooms taken by the families. It was a very uncomfortable stay in a dingy, run down room. I saw the other rooms that are advertised and they look pleasant and fresh. Make sure you get a regular room. The value for money is not that great as the hostel is quite far out from the city centre and there are only 2 trains per hour and none late at night so a long uphill walk awaits you after staying out late.

The staff are welcoming and the front desk was accomodating. The breakfast is typical breakfast buffet in a hostel. The toilet and bath are clean.
Little far from the center but the tram stop is just 1-2 minutes walk from the hostel.

I really enjoyed the stay. The personel is very friendly. Breakfast was very good as well. A view highlights, one of them beeing the extraordinary view over the city.
I was slightly confused by the high price (compared to other youth hostels) - It was not a huge price-difference when comparing to hotels with single bed rooms (~+23CHF/50%).

Breakfast was ok.
location's well managed
outdoor free-space is great, superb few
included: travel-pass for all public transportation within a great area for two days. amazing!
well, there is not much to say
price could be a bit lower, especially if you come from a third world country or just running on a low budget.

Very nice and helpful lady who runs this hostel. There was no problem with late check in, all the instructions received. Beautiful hostel location. Car park available, rooms clean and tidy.
Poor or no wi-fi singnal in the room.

Everything was nice - location, friendly and helpful stuff, clean, breakfast is ok, bus/tram stop is very close, as well as the parking for guests.
However, a little bit uncomfortable to have only 2 showers/toilets per floor. I needed to wait about 40 mins to be able to use a shower. But it was always clean, so, no farm done &)

Location was perfect, so easy to go into town with the tram being one second away from the hostel and next to a great green area to go swimming or hiking or walking. Magnificent view of the surroundings and the city. The staff were the nicest people I have met to date in hostels. So welcoming and helpful.

Very clean, amazing staff, healthy and good food.
I didn't have a plug outlet near my bed. Also the bathroom is on the corridor.

It was very spacious and had a nice green area with views of the city.
There was a school class there at the same time and they Made my stay a living nightmare. They Were always screaming and banging on floor and doors, and the shower room looked Absolutely awful (see photo). It didnt seem as if the teachers or the personel did anything to make them act respektfully. They acted like they owned the place.
So my tip is to call ahead to see if There is a school staying There, if There is , do NOT go!
