Poor service from staff waited to order a dessert not interested girl behind the bar was dreadful completely in the wrong job a nice building does need some renovation and does say on a sign it’s going to be getting some the bed was dread full creaky and a very well used mattress no life left In It to get up in the morning to find after 10 minutes the shower was not working no hot water went for breakfast to be told after complaining did no one tell you due to the boiler been a long way from your room it takes 10 to 15 mins to pull the water through a bit late as I had to leave due to a meeting

Very quaint and beautiful. Comfortable rooms with plenty of room and well furnished.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The musty smell in the stairwell. Insufficient towels and cups etc for our party of 5.

It had some charming character and the food was good for the price.
Two members of staff arguing behind the bar in the evening and one lady on at breakfast who was trying to do everything whilst her children were waiting for her. Room was scruffy, skirting boards almost hanging off, mouldy bathroom seals, hair covered throw cushion - I could go on …really poor with no comfort. There were signs asking customers to bear with whilst renovations done, but you can’t charge top rates when standards are so poor. Music until late and very much a room above a pub. Not happy for the money.

Staff Friendly
Car park
Clean
Shower worked
Couldn't hear people in other rooms
Wi-fi worked once they gave me the correct information
Bed fine
No bedside table - No where to put phone or drink of water whilst in bed
Noise and smell of extractor fans - Hot day, had to have the window open and the extractor fan was really loud and the smell of cooking oil filled the room. The main extractor fan went off at 10.40.
Had toast in the morning, went for a second slice and the staff had removed the Jam (8.30am)
Very small outdated TV
Not great value for money

Location great, staff lovely.
Needs updating, refurb, carpets dirty, stains on bedroom carpet. Took a lot of effort to close windows (took two of us and had to stand on stool). Bed creaks on every movement so very little sleep. Music starts at 6/6.30 in morning which is easily heard in bedrooms. Kitchen staff forgot to order some breakfast items (advised by staff). Complained twice which were rectified immediately (stains on bedding & blocked shower tray).

Lovely place, one of the best quality value for money meals we have both had in a long time and would have happily paid more for the food, great selection of real ales would definitely recommend for the food alone.
Room on the front was a little noisy with wagons bumping past all night.
Would have liked a cooked breakfast option as I'm sure it would be amazing quality, the continental on offer was nice though.
The saniflo system was noisy could ideally do with insulating

Friendly staff and 2pm check in
Pre-Booked Dinner before arrival and was told that normal menu and Valentine’s menu would be available. Was told on arrival for dinner that only the Valentine’s Dinner was available. Apparently, both menu’s were available to residents and staff mistook us for visitors.
