The facilities made available to you as a guest are impressive. The roof terrace for breakfast, lunch & dinner is quite stunning. The panoramic view is to die for. We went for Bed & Breakfast, but meals are very reasonably priced there if you don't decide to go full board. The Villa has a very relaxed style & staff are extremely helpful. Unless you have a lot of bags, no need for a taxi. Ten minute quaint stroll from Porto D'Ischia, along a picturesque, cobbled village street.
I always (like most people) prefer a room with a view. Even if it's a garden view. We were a last minute booking, so unfortunately there was nothing available. Overall this didn't affect our stay.

The location is great right in the center. what made our stay special was the staff, everywhere you go always bump in to lovely smiling team that are ready to help. Room was spacious and the cleaners super friendly. Breakfast good selection and the terrace is unique.
This hotel was great on booking but the photo that don't reflect the reality. The beach is tiny and shared between 4 properties ( They own 4 hotels) so you never find a space basically and also you have to walk 10 minutes to reach it. Room was big and the cleaned but the rest of the public area are quite dirty. There's not internet what so ever anywhere you go even though they say wifi in public area, no way! I had to work here and there during my stay but had no chance to do it so. With the money you pay deffo you can find a better place at this value.

The location is great. Beautiful garden. Hotel has chairs and umbrellas available at the beach.
Room was very basic. For the price other hotels offer more. Needs renovation.

The stay at the hotel was only 3 nights long, but it was a relaxed and pleasant affair. The staff was professional, polite, helpful, and overall just great. The food served at dinner was tasty, different options were available, and if needed adjustments made. Breakfast offered also a variety of options, be it savory or sweet.
The room could be kept a bit more up to date in regards to the interior (for example the mirror was going blind), but it kinda added to the overall charm of the place

The pool, restaurant, location and staff were excellent
Our first room was rather noisy because the restaurant was located immediately above us. The WiFi was patchy at best and could only be properly assessed on the ground floor near the reception.

Excellent staff and a beautiful hotel with an excellent thermal pool. The barman was legendary. Good breakfast and tour options as well.
The WiFi doesn't reach most of the rooms which is a bummer for a work-cation but that is really the only downside.

The view from the terrace was astonishing, you could see the port and also enjoy your breakfast. The personal helped us each day with every question about the island and how to get from one point to the other.
Unfortunately every evening there were some flying bugs in our room that constantly fell on our bed. We discussed with the personal to change the room, but all of the other rooms were booked, they offered us instead 2 free drinks from the bar.
Something strange was about the tables when we took dinner, you couldn’t just pick any available table that you wanted, you had to always sit at the table that the bartender indicated to you in the morning at breakfast. A little confusing for me why can I just pick a table that I wanted?

Beautiful location right off a side street off of the main shopping pedestrian area and a long walk away to the castle. Spacious bathroom, average size room and little balcony with a table and chairs. We opted for dinner and breakfast and both were surprisingly good. To get around we took the bus across the island to visit ancient mud baths and thermal water.
Connecting to the wifi was a little confusing make sure you ask the front desk as they print out a small receipt for each individual wifi code

The location is great with easy access to the main shopping street and to the beach.
The hotel grounds are lovely and peaceful.
The bar staff are amazing and so accommodating.
The food served is good with a good range of even meal options.
Beach chairs and umbrellas are now free for use.
Overall it the stay was good, but just not as good as previous years.
I have stayed at this hotel 2 times previously and it was excellent.
This third time they didn't quite provide the same experience.
The room was much smaller than my previous visits.
Towels were clean, but very old.
The pool previous years seemed better than this time. I'm not sure why though.
Breakfast didn't have as many options, but is still a good selection.

Stayed here recently for 11 nights. Location of Hotel is perfect. The Hotel is typical Italian with antique furniture and some very nice common areas. Breakfast the usual fare of breads, fruits, cereals etc. I had booked a Superior room with terrace. The room was okay. The 'terrace' was a 2sq metre balcony. I was disappointed and did ask at Reception about the room but was told that was the one I had booked. The bathroom was fine but the shower cubicle was very small. The towels were paper thin. The pool area is set in a lovely garden full of plants and fruit trees. However it is quite shaded , gets the sun for about 5 hours a day. Once again the pool towels provided are very worn. There is the option of going to the hotels beach area. I felt the hotel could be a bit cleaner. I found all of the Staff to be polite and helpful. For some people this hotel may suit their needs but overall I was disappointed and would not stay here again.
Room. Shower. Towels.

location and ease of check in/out. Staff helped when asked questions. The terrace view
Bed was very uncomfortable, air con very noisy when first turned on, and room very noisy especially around 7am

The pool and the garden are just amazing, the location is nice as well and overall the food quality for half board is above average.
The communication with the staff from the restaurant, such as the maitre, could have been better.

location and thermal pool, staff excellent.
a little bit outdated and wifi didn’t work.

The location was very good - quite close to the port and right in the middle of Ischia Porto, within walking distance of Ischia Ponte. The building was beautiful and peaceful; a real historic property. The staff was helpful in giving directions. My room had a lovely terrace.
The beds were awful - rock hard, old spring mattresses, the kind you find in some Italian grandmother's beach house that she furnished with whatever antideluvian relic she'd kept over the past 60 years. You could feel every lump, and the double bed I'd requested was two singles of different height pushed together. I complained to the staff and they gaslit me: "all hotels in Italy have only single beds because that's what foreigners want." Total crap! They said they'd adjust them so that they were the same height but they were still so lumpy and stiff. The bedding was no better - old, stiff thin bedclothes from the 60s. All of the furniture was vintage but had been painted over dozens of times instead of being properly restored. The towels were ratty and there wasn't a toilet roll dispenser. The hairdryer must have been from the 80s. You can have a vintage property, but you just can't have vintage beds, bedding or towels, especially at 177 a night! The thermal pool was also lackluster and could use a proper cleaning.

, the 2 things going for it are the central location and the beach it shares with their other hotels
not a 4 star hotel , had to swap room because of poor air conditioning, rooms are very dated, breakfast very poor with hardly any choice ,I’d say it’s a 3 star hotel at a push

The thermal pool was fabulous, the pool area and the tropical themed gardens surrounding it were like a little oasis, especially with the birds tweeting it was truly peaceful. The balcony where we dined had the most stunning sunset views. the cocktails were delicious
We paid for half board and despite the scrum for the buffet food, the set meals were good.the breakfast was nice and had lots of yummy cakes.
If you want a no frills, peaceful hotel stay with stunning surroundings, and no techno interruption - due to lack of wi fi reception-(which truly can be a great thing to relax) then I highly recommend this hotel
as most other reviews state the hotel and rooms are in need of renovation, they are old fashioned and basic, not really 4 star standard however our 2 rooms were immaculately clean and tidy and provided everything we needed.
.if you’re booking for a family /family rooms like we did , I strongly urge you to contact the hotel through booking .com to confirm. we paid for 4 adults and 2 children aged 3 and 6 and were told upon arrival that additional beds could not be put in both rooms as one room was too small. apparently we paid for 2 double rooms! basically no provisions were made for our children upon our arrival. eventually an additional bed was provided (after initially asking us to wait until the morning for an additional bed) for the 6 year old and the 3 year old shared the double bed with her parents for the duration of our stay (all in one room.) overall most of the staff were really lovely but sometimes we sensed a can’t be bothered attitude.

A beautiful little spot just off the main road in the town Ischia. The grounds are gorgeous with vegetation and walkways, the room was small (perfect for a solo traveler), with all the amenities you could need, plus double doors that opened out onto a beautiful terrace! The pool was lovely, the room was clean, and the entire place felt a little bit like an oasis set back in the 1930s. Other guests were playing cards in the drawing-room and having cocktails in a separate sitting room -- it was a wonderful experience and atmosphere. I only wish I had more than one night!
Nothing that I saw, all was wonderful and wish I could've stayed longer than one night!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was quiet and the location of the hotel was good. The pool area was an enjoyable place to spend a few hours.
The hotel was converted from a large home to a hotel in the 50s, and I'm not sure any work has been done to it since then. It is dilapidated, with fittings and fixtures hanging off the walls, carpets stained and torn with a less-than charming decor (may have been charming a few decades ago!) Our room was infested with ants and mosquitoes which we couldn't get control of with sprays and plugins. We ate lunch in the pool bar one day and my sandwich had a number of hairs in it - when I told the waiter he defended it saying mozzarella looks like that sometimes (?!) but he took the sandwich off the bill and apologised. If all you want from breakfast is a coffee and a croissant then you'll find it adequate. We accidentally booked half board and once we saw the dinner menu, we quickly made reservations for dinner elsewhere. There is fabulous food in other spots on the island so we didn't want to settle for nothing less. Their exterior boasts awards from yearssss ago, I would say they haven't done anything award-winning since then. The Aircon unit in the room was about 25years old and was not fit for purpose. Our stay here has unfortunately tainted our whole view/memory of the island.

Friendly and flexible staff
beautiful unique structure like a beautiful, private large villa with old exotic plants ....you feel relaxed as you enter
Breakfast on the roof terrace is just adorable
May be a little bench overlooking the entrance /exit when waiting for a taxi

The location of this hotel is very central. Just a short walk from all the shops and restaurants/bars. About a 15 minute walk from the ferry port. Staff great & very helpful. Facilities excellent.
Mosquitos! Bring your repellent. Not the fault of the hotel as they are everywhere in early October.
5.0
The staff and the view from the breakfast area
Beginning with the lack of organisation for parking, then the facilities are old and poorly kept, the AC barely works, the shower didn’t have proper pressure and couldn’t keep the temperature, cleanliness was horrible.
