Schade, kenne ich besseres in Schierke!

Die Lage und das Frühstück waren Erwartungsgemäß gut.

Die Pflege der Zimmer und Bäder lassen zu wünschen übrig. Der Vorhang hing bei der An- und Abreise gleichermaßen schief am Fenster. Die Handtücher wurden nie getauscht, obwohl wir sie, nach 3 Tagen, auf den Boden gelegt haben. Schimmel im Badezimmer wurde nie behandelt. Nach 4 Tagen sah das Treppenhaus sehr sehr schmutzig aus. Der verstopfte Ablauf des Waschbeckens wurde nur halbherzig angegangen. Die Angestellten waren alle sehr freundlich, leider nur wenige Stunden anwesend, um den Anforderungen gerecht zu werden.

Der Aufenthalt war insgesamt gut. Das Frühstück ist lecker. Preis/Leistung stimmt.

Das Frühstück ist sehr umfangreich. Es gibt frische Brötchen, Brot und Croissants. Verschiedenste Aufschnitte und Konfitüren. Wahlweise Rührei mit Speck oder Tomaten. Frisches Obst und Gemüse gibt es auch. Die Lage in Schierke ist sehr schön.

Die Betten könnten ein wenig weicher sein. Ich hatte manchmal das Gefühl aus dem Bett zu rollen, weil die Matratze in der Mitte irgendwie höher ist. Das Bad ist sauber, allerdings befindet sich ein bisschen schwarzer Schimmel oben an den Wänden.

Sehr schöner Urlaub

Es war alles super. Betten waren sehr flach und es fehlte ein Kopfteil,das man höher liegt. Ansonsten war es sehr schön und angenehm.

was ok nothing exceptional

set on nice location. Room was a fair size.

the fact it had scaffolding up out the front. was unmanned from about 6 so that meant no restaurant and no bar! was only informed of this 3 days before trip!! At least there was a fridge with beers in reception with an honesty tin!! under camera though. Also as it had been snowing when we arrived nothing was gritted meaning accessing some of car park impossible!

Good stay once in hotel

Room was a little dated but very comfortable, as was the bed, breakfast was very enjoyable with a good selection, Hotel was clean and tidy no complaints there.

Arrived late but no staff on duty and no answere to phone calls.... however there was and email with instruction on key pad code, the issue with this was it was from and email we didnt expect and it came late i the day which led to a few worrying moments

Cozy and comfortable hotel in nice surroundings

comfortable and well equipped rooms, very friendly staff

Woke up during the night because of the smoke alarm (probably somebody smoked in his room), but can't blame the hotel for it :)

Great spot for hikers of the Hexenstieg. Shierke is very nice.

Shierke is a great city to go dine in and very close to the Hexenstieg, The location is awesome for hikers. Breakfast was good. Very good beds and a good sized room.

My second stay and I would always return.

The location. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast. Parking.

Bit expensive this time. Outlay of the room was slightly inconvenient with the TV by the side of the bed which made it uncomfortable to watch.

Nice hotel close to Brocken

A short walk from the train station, lies this nice hotel right next to the forest. Nice rooms and good service. Close to the restaurants in Schierke and with a nice sauna (closed during Covid-19) Able to get lunch packets for the hike

We were looking forward to the sauna, which was closed due to Covid-19 - BUT fair enough I guess :-)

Convenient, but with unpleasant surprises.

Nice and convenient location. The stairs we well designed so that an elevator was not necessary.

Upon arrival no staff was at the reception and we had to wait for 5 minutes before someone showed up. It would be decent if additional costs like tourist tax and for Covid-19 measures would be advertised. The effectiveness of the Covid-19 measures, i.e. extra cleaning and disinfecting, which were charged additionally, was reduced when my creditcard was taken by the staff member to swipe it on the contactless payment terminal....?

Bad

Broke the first law of hospitality. Promised to store our luggage the next day when I asked reception before checking in (and settling my bill), an option also mentioned in the brochure in our room. Refused to do so however the next morning with some incomprehensible excuse. At least another half a dozen cyclist were duped that day by the same broken promise. We all planned to cycle up the Brocken before lunch, picking up our panniers on the way down. Had to take that extra weight the full distance.
