Stunning views, gorgeous pool, nice to have own terrace area too. Inside was lovely, bed very comfortable, great facilities.
The restaurant next door was very welcoming with delicious food, and the same stunning view. The little bar the other side couldn’t help enough, very friendly- great place to get some beer and nibbles.
Walk down steps to main road to buy cheap bus ticket to Porto Venere, absolutely stunning place, and go for swim in Byron’s Grotto before catching boat to Cinque Terre. Perfect.
It is a little bit difficult to get places if you don’t have car - we didn’t mind the walk down steps to carry on to La Spezia for supplies, or to Porto Venere, but is difficult to get taxi back (kind shop helped us out by calling for us)- would be fantastic if Miramare had contact at a local taxi for guests to call if needed? But Miramare is a beautiful place, if you are fairly fit and don’t mind a taxi back, do not hesitate-I will return without hesitation.

the view was breathtaking. the pool was amazing! the location for visiting Cinque Terre by train was convenient.
limited contact with staff. difficult access to groceries, water etc. to be fair, they offered to supply the apartment in advance and we did not take them up on the offer. I would recommend showing up with essentials.

It was a big room with nice terrace.
Everything else was terrible. The beds were old and hurt my back. The pillows were so flat and didn’t feel clean. The location was the worst to reach and ‘free private parking’ was nowhere, you just had to park on the street. To reach the train station, we had to find a parking garage but everything is full so we had to drive back & take a €30 taxi to the train station & €30 back. When we asked for the host what she would advice and she said ‘have patience’ after waiting 1h30 for a parking spot. Very arrogant host & no service with checkin etc. Would not recommend this at all.

Amazing views, wonderful terrace, spacious, clean. Also, next door to a wonderful pizzeria
Absence of staff, difficulty in coming and going from the apartment(into the centre), no toiletries provided (other than shampoo and soap), no pool towels or slippers, no groceries provided even though I ordered them and there was an 'okay' confirmation

The apartment is lovely, terrace area overlooks the infinity pool with hills as backdrop and La Spezia port well below. The pool is lovely and well kept, very clean.
Great place to get away from the busy Cinque Terre route and relax.
Cleaning staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly, not sure about the hosts as we never met them.
Really didn't pick up from the description how far away from La Spezia it is and how 'a car is highly recommended' actually should say 'is the only way you'll be able to access amenities easily'.
Without a car you have to use taxis; the distance given to the port is 'as the crow flies' and whilst we're happy to walk we couldn't have walked to La Spezia, it's a good 15 minute taxi ride to La Spezia, costing anything between 12 and 27 euros (with luggage).
The bar mentioned in the description was only open one of the nights we were there contrary to the opening hours given by Miramare and the bar itself is more of a social billiards club for the men of the village. The bar owner was friendly but there's no bar atmosphere.
Despite saying there's a convenience store nearby, again that's only if you have a car, otherwise it's a 15/ 20 minute walk down a very steep set of steps or on a main road. However once there there's a lovely bakery, with pizza, foccaccia, etc and a local bar.

Fabulous view of the harbour and a large patio to enjoy sipping coffee. The best thing about this place it was away from the crowds of cinque terre. Cinque terre was pretty but the real charming fishing towns are Cadimare and fazzano with delicious local restaurants. we wouldn’t have found these 2 villages without the suggestion of the front desk. Portovenere had more history, charm and beach then any of the five cinque terre towns

The views were gorgeous, the room was clean and updated.
Wifi was inconsistent and location was fairly far from the town. There was parking nearby but none of it was reserved.

spacious, comfortable, great view. the terrace made our stay.
for those without a car: the Miramare is remote and there are NO stores nearby and only one restaurant that specializes in pizza. be sure to shop for your breakfast needs before heading up. Taxi rides are 20 € each way. Wifi was spotty.

the ocean view
it’s absolutely only for people who have a car. there is nothing around the hotel- it’s in a residential area on top of the mountain, we arrived on Easter Monday, the only restaurant in the area was closed and we had nothing to eat for dinner and there was no any reminder in advance by the hotel. the only way to eat is to take a taxi to go to downtown and it’s very hard to get a taxi- have to call and they are not willing to come, it takes 20 euros for one taxi ride. there is a blue flashing light in the room from the internet box on the high wall so during night the whole room is bright and we couldn’t sleep. the hotel has no personnel to work from 13:00pm. feels more like a air Bnb than a hotel. the room has very heavy painting smell. it’s my worst hotel experiences ever!

The accommodation was fantastic. The view of our apartment was simply exceptional and we truly enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the bay. Take advantage of the nice pizzeria around the corner, it's worth it.
It is difficult to reach if you don't have a car. The parking in front is well visited so the best would be to park your car and do the rest on foot but the town of La Spezia is quite far (and the parking conditions in town are horrible). Luckily the rooms are very comfortable and it's no problem simply to stay in.

When I read Booking.com reviews, they tend to be lacking because they are standalone and without context. We just finished a trip where we used Booking.com for six stays. We also had five direct bookings. Our Booking.com stays were in Italy (Milano, Genova, La Spezia), Croatia (Dubrovnik, Split) and Paris. Our selection criteria included location, apartment size (60 – 90 sqm), bed comfort, WIFI, washing machine, elevator, coffee maker, bathroom quality. Other nice to haves include toiletries, iron and board, 1st night coffee, breakfast included. All of the places were acceptable, but none checked all the boxes.
La Spezia – The location above La Spezia provided great views of the La Spezia harbor and Ligurian Sea. If we did not have a car, access to La Spezia and Cinque Terra would not be convenient. The space was open airy and spacious. We did not need an elevator to access our space. The bedroom loft above the primary space is around 1.70 meters (5’ 8”) tall – a minor problem for a anyone taller. A good space that ranks tied for third out of six.

The exterior is phenomenal and we had a lovely view.
Quite far from town. If we had a car it would’ve been fine. There is only one pizzeria and bar nearby and it is too far of a walk to town.

If you don’t have a car/moped, the walk into La Spetzia is between 30-40mins or c20mins with bus (depending on what part you’re visiting). The walk back has a number of steps due to the hill.
The bus is a good option if you don’t want to walk, but it seems to finish around 8.30pm (maybe it runs later in main summer), so if you don’t want to get a taxi in the evening, then it’s the walk. Given the amount of pizza and pasta we were eating, this was probably a blessing in disguise!
