unique experience to live in a cave house. Greatly furnished
As we had bad weather, we could not use the pool, and we always had the door closed, leaving the living room too dark. More light would be great.

The location is so breathtakingly stunning, you have to come here to experience it. We loved the hiking trails and La Esquina restaurant in the nearby town of Artenara.

This troglodyte house is indeed above the clouds, and has a wonderful view, and the views around Artenara are fabulous. It’s an interesting way to see how people live in cave houses. We enjoyed our stay here as it’s extremely quiet, and a good way to get away from everything. Luckily there are electric radiators, at is can get chilly in the evening at this altitude. It was quite comfortable to have a kitchen, and dining area. The swimming pool is also quite relaxing.
The only problem we had was when the water didn’t work, but the owner told is how to fix that, which we could easily do.

Great place to get away from the crowd. Literally a place above the clouds. Outside shower, bubble bath, private pool and the best view you can get.
The water in the pool is freezing cold because of the height.

Wonderfully remote yet reassuringly close to a town with 2 small supermarkets and a number of eateries. Close to main road but well away from the traffic. Great view in the morning and fantastic sunsets.
No problem too small, no attention to detail too great.
For a cave that's above the highest village on the island that's in the mid-Atlantic there's a surprising homeliness to the place. We'd recommend this place to friends and family.
With a semi-detatached cave and shared (small) pool with BBQs there's scope for a bigger family/friends holiday.
(We hired a car from Autoreisen which was a similarly good idea.)
Nothing to add as a downer - it's a great place to stay.
