Underwhelming - The Hotel online optics don't match what you actually see when you're there.

Service was great, hotel staff were welcoming and very helpful.

1) No toiletries, these had to be asked for. 2) Perhaps COVID has greatly affected the upkeep of the hotel, but the OVERALL maintenance of the entire place is greatly required. 3) Lifts reek of smoke and mustiness. 4) Hotel smells like an aquarium that hasn't been cleaned in ages - think algae, moss, musty. 5) We arrived when Typhoon Nesat had hit - considering we were there for a week, there were no specific concessions made, just apologies. 6) Soul Kitchen has received raving reviews but I am not quite sure if these are paid one. Novotel should look to provide a more varied menu. 7) No day beds at the beach. Novotel hasn't much to offer. Yes it is a mid-priced range hotel but really ... the competition next door was doing a fabulous job. 8) Towels are so old, these should be changed.

It was cheap and cheerful. 4 Star with limited options but clean and on a beautiful beach. Not a luxery hotel but decent

That is was on the beach and kid friendly

Only 1 restaurant, only 1 pool, 10 min walk to main area.

Недостаточно хорошая уборка номеров. Кондиционер не регулирует температуру в номере , поэтому или очень холодно, или душно.

Okay aber kein 4 Sterne Niveau!

Gute Lage am Strand, freundliches Personal.

Alle Speisen beim Frühstück sind überwiegend kalt. Die Eier sind eiskalt, außer man lässt sie frisch machen. Es werden nur selten frische Säfte angeboten, wenn diese leer sind werden sie nicht mehr aufgefüllt trotz Nachfrage. Das Hotel ist in einem "alten" Zustand, sehr in die Jahre gekommen. An vielen Stellen bröckelt der Putz ab, alles ist mittlerweile in einem renovierungsbedürftigen Zustand. Das Gym ist ebenso extrem alt und in die Jahre gekommen.

Not what I expected.

The staff are nice, friendly and nice.

I think this is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. They made a mistake with miscalculating the babysitting service fee, and took extra 76 euros from my card (without my approval!) a day after we already checked out! This is by far the most rude and horrible experience I have ever had in a hotel. There are some other things that we didn't like - for example: The rooms didn't feel clean, sheets had stains, and the fact that there is no option to put payments on the room, you need to pay everything NOW or leave a deposit. Fells like they running after you with the bill like you will run away without paying anything. But the payment issue, without getting my approval, this is a big NO for me! Be careful with them!

Nice beach

Terrible Taxi service, mostly arrive with no air conditioning or ineffective aircon., I complained but that’s the best service the hotel has. Also the Villas require 30 steps to climb up, the pictures look like they are on the beach ! Room aircon. Is noisy.. I complained and cut short my 7 day stay to 3 days and moved to Patong Novotel Resort - MUCH nicer hotel and near to town, this hotel is 5 star, the Kamala beach is 3 star ,and both the same price !

Amazing beach, beautiful sunset. There are jet skis. Tides are not felt at the beach. Small but clean pool.

Room was remote, access to it requires the use of two elevators. Breakfasts are not varied. No salads. Tomatoes are not fresh. Lacks a variety of cheeses. In the pool most of the time places are occupied. There are no sunbeds on the beach. We asked for a late check-out for a fee but were refused. Sockets by the beds did not work.

Very satisfying. Good location, fantastic staff, good food. Beach front is the most quiet section.

Great location at the north end of Kamala beach. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and roof top bar are excellent with good food and reasonable price. There are a few minor issues. For example, there are no small toiletries in the room. Robes and slippers were forgotten in one room. These were provided promptly upon request. I would stay here again

Too many steps for my elderly mother. Steps of stairs could be more distinctive by painting red strips on every step or putting some sort of clear markers for elders. My mother tripped a few times as she could not distinguish each step on the way down. During high season, beach chairs are not sufficient due to number of guests. Otherwise, Novotel is a great hotel to stay and in an excellent location. I would suggest providing some beach sport equipment for recreation such as kayak or paddleboard, at least for rent if needed so that guests do not have to walk out to find ones. Beach chairs could be extended onto the beach in front of the hotel to better serve the guests.

we arrived early for the check in so we left are suitcases at reception the front office lady told me that she would text me when the room was ready from the app HandiGo the check in was 2 o’clock so we left to go the beach and was waiting for the text she forgot about it and went there at about 3 o’clock and asked her if the room was ready she didn’t remember anything. the food at the restaurant is not so good but the staff were nice

It is my favorite place in Thailand

The location is amazing, the staff become like family and the pool is amazing.

There are not enough deck chairs and that was becoming a problem when the hotel was full. Also, the headboards of the bed are made of material and they were stained and smelt bad. They need a good deep clean!

Location is absolutely perfect, right on Kamala beach with great sunset and view.

room conditions are terrible, the hotel is not maintained, everything is rusty and falling apart, not what you'd expect from Novotel. We paid $300 for a room and it was very small in a very bad condition without a view.

facilities were dated, could do with some renovations and our air conditioning broke and wasn’t fixed until a early morning (1am) call out, pool was green for duration of our stay as filter broke, staff weren’t very personable or attentive

Exceptional

We loved the room. Perfect lighting, comfortable couch, and nice balcony. The breakfast was awesome, good variety of food.

The bed wasn't king sized, it was a queen size bed at most.

Excellent place and great staff!

The beach was fantastic, the staff was super helpful, the breakfast really good.

The only thing was it is on one end of Kamala Beach and to get to the restaurants and shops on the other side it is like a 30min walk.
