loved the location, onsen and room. went in april and the hotel was almost empty, no one at the onsen or gym at all. felt so private. staff was helpful and room was luxurious

Onsen, rooms spacious and beautiful. Breakfast fantastic with lots of options.
Ski lockers a little small for a family of 4.

The staff were very kind and the property was clean. The ski concierge was a great service and my Niseko ski guide was phenomenal.
One day I didn’t get a coffee creamer replenish. It’s honestly the only thing I could think of that wasn’t perfect.

Amazing hotel. The quality is superb: the rooms, bathrooms, all amenities, breakfast and a multitude of great services provided by the staff. The location is insanely close to the main slopes entrance. Look no further if you wish to stay in Niseko Hirafu.

- great service (international staff so english was no problem)
- luxurious and spacious room with thoughtful amenities. modern but in a warm and inviting way
- onsen (outdoor and indoor available) super clean and many shower stalls available
- delicious breakfast (however only choice of japanese set or western set)
nothing!

Pros: beautiful hotel, beautiful and spacious room and bathroom, professional and helpful staff, good complimentary breakfast selections, great onsen hot springs (had it all to myself each time), L’Occitane toiletries, shuttle services, and close proximity to Grand Hirafu ski lifts and food and shopping options.
Cons: our stay was too short!

They are so warm in receiving us. All smiles and even take time to go to my parents' room to assist on WiFi etc. The room is so big and clean. The private onsen was excellent. You pay for one flat rate and you can go in as a group and also there are indoor and outdoor onsen. The team also help us with our luggages and bid us goodbye warmly. Keep up the positive vibes.
None at all.

another building was too close, across from our living room window.

Amazing location (minutes from the slopes and the shuttle takes seconds), comfortable rooms, really good breakfast and the staff were exceptional.
felt the hotel bar in the main lobby was a bit dead, but maybe because we were on off season

I like everything about Chalet Ivy Hirafu! Staff are exceptionally attentive!! Onzen, shuttle services to and fro Dot Base & Hirafu Gondola, ski rental and storage on site. Remember to reserve dinner as well, you will not regret it.
PS. I requested for a stool to be used in shower due to a knee injury. The hotel immediately provide me a proper shower chair complete with an anti-slip mat. They also provided wheelchair & transported me to and fro clinic after my ski accident. The restaurant staff noted my dietary restrictions. A very warm and thoughtful management.

clean and modern hotel. miso soup is one of the best for this trip.
food in the restaurant (for dinner) can have more variety. the price is too high for the limited choice.

Great location if you’re skiing in Hirafu and has courtesy drop-offs to the Hirafu family lifts and welcome centre - which is handy. Has a well stocked ski equipment rental with decent equipment. Cosy and comfortable with great views of Mt. Yotei. Decent breakfast spread with good service (polite and helpful staff).

Excellent stay all round
Lovely staff, made every accomodation to ensure our stay was perfect. Onsen is amazing with female, male and private options - all with indoor and outdoor option and open 24hrs 😁😁
Brilliant on-site ski/snowboard hire, knowledgeable staff. Will definitely be back

from all the travels we did, it was by far the most satisfactory hotel we booked into. The staff speaks fluent English and very accommodating. It made our stay in the hotel easy, fun and relaxing. All our requests was carried out smoothly. breakfast was very good considering we have a child with us who's avery picky eater. room was very cleaned and current. we are very satisfied with our stay. we'll come back again for winter.

Breakfast. Rather high end hotel.
When it's written "courtyard view" it basically means that your window is just 3 meters from a wall. In whatever language it means "absolutely no view, as in the most basic business hotel in Tokyo". That was highly depressing to be in Niseko and not even be able to see what the weather looks like... Will not repeat this mistake for such a high price!

Location was great for accessing the mountain. The onsen was overall comfortable and clean. Breakfast was hearty, beautiful, and well prepared.
The breakfast became a bit redundant and took some time to arrive.

Fantastic breakfast, onsen and staff (shout out to the ski concierge!). Complimentary bus service to and from the ski slopes (which were just 400m away and in itself very walkable). Front desk helped us with restaurant bookings and takkyubin as well. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Everything was top notch

Super nice and convenient hotel with exceptionally friendly and supportive staff! We enjoyed our stay in Niseko and at Chalet Ivy a lot! Highly professional ski rental service in the hotel. Reliable and friendly private shuttle service to/ from gondola. Opportunity to refresh at hotel onsen even after check-out. Overall, hotel with modern & high-quality appearance.
Nothing - all great!

The hotel was very clean, the room was cozy and luxurious, and the staff was friendly. We requested vegan breakfast and the staff went out of their way to provide a sample menu in advance and also prepared a list of restaurants in the town that had vegan options.
The slippers provided in the room were too small for my partner. But other than that, we had nothing to complain!

I have stayed here twice, once pre-covid and also during a quasi state of emergency. Regardless, the attentiveness and hospitality of their staff is exceptional and continues to be exceptional.
For those planning on taking the JR train or bus into Niseko, they do provide a free shuttle service from the stations. The location to the slopes is a very short walk but they still provide lift service to the base or to the gondola. Their restaurant uses quality ingredients and their breakfast is very filling — much needed before a long day on the mountain. Lastly, their facilities and rooms are very very clean, and their onsens are spacious and relaxing.
I don’t typically leave reviews but I 10/10 recommend staying at Chalet Ivy just on their customer service alone. As a foreigner, they helped me with last-minute options to get out of Niseko when the trains stopped working, and I can’t thank them enough.

Great hotel, very nice room in a good location. The walk to the ski lift takes about 5 mins. Staff was very friendly and English speaking. I’m usually not talking half board but the offer was so good that I did and didn’t regret it.
