The house is very original and located immediately in the center of the town. The contact with the owner was good, although he only speaks Spanish, we managed to communicate using hands and foots and smartphones ;-)
The owner provided fresh towels and bed sheets every couple of days which was a very welcome service.
The studio apartment A faces the busy town streets. So you can look out and see the tourists swarming through the place. The downside of this is that it can be noisy, also cars are driving by in the morning. Since the only windows are facing east there is only sunlight in the morning, at other times it is a bit dark in the appartment.
The double bed was comfortable although a bit small in width.
Parking is behind the house on a big hidden parking lot. The lot was mostly unused during our stay, we've the only ones using it. Maneauvering the car there can be a bit delicate for unexperienced drivers but with our small car it was no big problem.
To reach the house by car the pedestrian zone of Santillana needs to be entered. This was mostly no problem though, you just need to take care not to overlook the many tourists.
Consider taking the apartment with balcony that faces to the back of the house where it is very calm and also sunny (faces south).
The kitchen can mostly only be used for simple cooking. There's no oven. The electric heating plates have a pretty stupid and buggy touch interface.
In our apartment there was a strange smell like of urin that seemed to originate from the not-so-fresh looking couch. It was only noticeable sometimes, though and at specific places around the couch.
The bathroom is rather small, has no windows and little light.

No breakfast available but we were able to prepare breakfast in the room because it had a full kitchen.
Receiving precise location instructions in advance. We had a hard time finding the place.

What a wonderful place to stay while enjoying the medieval village of Santillana de Mar! A great location in the middle of the town. Close to the Camino route and everything you’ll want to see while in town and/or visiting the area.
The host was welcoming and answered all of our questions. We were in apartment B for two nights. The apartment was perfectly appointed with everything you’d need. The bed was comfortable. We appreciated having a dining table at which to work or plan our days. Our windows looked out onto a quiet back street. Blissfully quiet for sleeping.
There is a washing machine, television, heating, and parking. (Meet the host at the apartment and he will show you to the parking behind the building). The kitchen area is also we’ll-equipped.
We loved everything about our stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to book it again should we come back to the area.
