Everything. It’s spotlessly clean, the room was lovely with the biggest walk-in shower you could wish for. The food is excellent and the staff all friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to our next visit

Beautiful building lovely comfortable rooms. Ideal if you are exploring the area. Lovely helpful staff.
The road to the hotel, single track lane not for the faint hearted. Better to ignore Sat nav and try to stay on main road as far as possible.

Everything - charming and welcoming hosts, very comfortable room and bed, excellent breakfasts and dinners. There was nothing that we could fault!
Nothing.

Lovely place, great service, really excellent food. Charming quiet location, the building is 723 years old - beautiful thatched old inn. Despite its age, its name seems misleading, but there was apparently once an even older inn in Coleford. The parrot is a nice bonus, the Captain is a star of the pub. Excellent conversations with the owners too, they were lovely people and clearly really care about their guests. Highly recommended.
To be honest there wasn't anything I didn't like!

Excellent food- main meal and breakfasts.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Comfortable super king-sized bed.
Great shower in bath.
Huge car park.
Towels could have been soft and fluffy as described in description.
Main bedroom lighting was dim and dark stairway leading to upstairs rooms - could be brightened up / new carpets and painted.

Loved the spacious room. Clean and well thought out. We ate breakfasts and dinner - traditional pub food, but homecooked and to a high standard. Definitely well above average. The location is in a very attractive village. It's pretty remote, but that adds to the charm.
Nothing.

it's the second time that we came, and next time we will go to the same place. It's a charming place. A beautiful and large room for 3 people. The owners are really friendly.

Everything about the New Inn exceeded our expectations. The hosts were amazingly friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had booked 3 rooms, one so that our dog could also come with us. They were all lovely, spacious and clean. Dinner was excellent (the salt and pepper squid was delicious), as was breakfast the next morning. The way our dog was made so welcome was brilliant. We will definitely be visiting again.
Nothing at all. Everything was top notch.

We had a lovely stay here. The landlord and landlady were really welcoming and made our stay very comfortable. We loved Captain the parrot! Breakfast was superb, plenty of choice and the full English was delicious. Our room was spacious and lovely and clean. We would love to stay again.
