location, food and style
the bed was extremely uncomfortable . duvet if low quality

Initial room we were allocated was on the small side so we upgraded and the excellent receptionist was able to move us to a courtyard room which was much more spacious and comfortable.
The “breakfast fairy” made our stay with her sunny and helpful disposition and random factoids. Also big shout out to Ronaldo for the amazing cocktail

The staff were helpful and caring. They couldn’t do enough. The gardens and surroundings were beautiful and very well maintained. I will definitely consider going back there.
The room was a bit cold: gap under the door that let in a draft.

The staff were outstanding - helpful, attentive & friendly. The room was spacious, comfortable and warm. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious!
Hard to provide, but a swimming pool would be the icing on the cake!

This was a lovely hotel and it is hard to beat the location in north Norfolk. The room was comfortable and a good size. I asked for a quiet room and we got that as we were in the part called the Herb Garden which is just a short walk from the main hotel.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, you could not ask for a better set of staff.
Breakfast was a treat, a good size English breakfast that filled us up for the day.
The car park was very large and we could park within a couple of metres of our room.
I marked the hotel down because of one item. I appreciate that this is what is called a 'boutique hotel' but the choice of food for the evening meal was poor. A very short choice of main meal, this was not helped on one evening when the best choice (in my opinion) of Gressingham Duck was not available as they had run out. This was at 7pm in the evening! To be fair the food when it arrived was well cooked and delicious but a greater choice is necessary.

The food was beautiful, well thought out, and locally sourced. The room was tasteful and comfortable with plenty of space. Above all, every member of staff we met were polite, inviting, and incredibly friendly - they made our stay extra special!

The service was great. The hotel was very quiet - we stayed on a very cold frosty Monday in December.

Sunday lunch in the conservatory restaurant followed by breakfast the following morning were first class. The view of the sea from the front door of the hotel is amazing!
4.4
Good location, friendly helpful staff. Rooms generally fine, ones with outside space far better.
The room was comfortable and functional but the refurbishment and bedroom design company didn’t understand the basic needs of visitors.
Examples - No plugs with USB’s. 3 of plugs inaccessible. No case stands. Shower excellent also Shampoo Conditioner and Body Scrub however colour all the same and label too small to read without glasses.

Loved the comfy bed & slept well. Food was fabulous & the staff were absolutely brilliant.
No drawers in room & could have done with more power points. But these are minor observations, not complaints.
