We loved staying at such a beautiful location with so much history. We had the room with the mosaics on the ceiling and it was awesome! The bathroom is not attached to the room, but it is not shared with other guests and just a few feet away. The walkway to the bathroom is also private with a little table and chairs that is perfect to sit outside and watch the sunset. Annalisa and her mother were very kind and a delight to get to know! Umbria is beautiful and there's lots for towns to visit. This was a great home base after a day of exploring the Italian countryside.
I really can't think of anything we didn't like about our stay. It was everything we hoped it would be.

Es un lugar precioso para parar al menos un par de días. Además tiene restaurantes abiertos y buenos en la zona. Annalisa y su madre Laura son unas anfitrionas de 10. El jardín de la abadía es precioso.

Struttura molto bella, Abazia restaurata mantenendo i materiali e affreschi originali.

A wonderfully detailed and unique place with so much history within the walls of the building. The garden is home to many different herbs and plants with seating all around so you can find the perfect spot. Annalisa was very helpful and welcoming. The room was bright and clean with beautiful views of the Umbrian countryside.

We were travelling from Norway for a family vacation in Italy, exploring the amazing Umbria. We stayed in Abbazia for two nights, and regret that we didn't book more. The atmosphere is fantastic, very calm and relaxing. We really enjoyed the slow mornings dedicated to reading and painting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Abbazia has a fantastic restaurant (when opened) with great food and atmosphere. We really would love to come back one day.

The building is magnificent! It has such a peaceful feeling and an elegant touch. It is like living in a fairytale. The garden is amazing! Our toddler enjoyed spending time there playing and exploring. We felt very welcome, very safe and a warm homey feeling. The owners are so nice and helpful. The location is great with a rental car. Truly a holiday to remember ❤️
The bed was not the most comfortable but really there’s nothing to complain about.

The place was very well-renovated despite its age and the owner/mom were very responsive and helpful. Place was so beautiful although it can be a bit quiet/isolated at night.
Would be great if there's a hot water dispenser or something that we can use to fix a quick hot meal when it's cold and feel like staying in -- although Umbrian food is fabulous so we shouldn't really need it.

super location, unique building totally different to standard B&Bs

Incredibly beautiful Abbey. we loved that they have beautiful gardens around the property for guests to relax as they please. we also made use of their allotment, where we hand picked our own tomatoes and aubergine and then cooked for our dinner. Annalisa and Francesco were very kind and helpful, nothing was too much of a problem for them when we had questions. Annalisa gifted us some of their own pressed oil which they had made on site from their own olive groves, which was such a wonderful touch.
The architecture of the building is stunning with ancient frescoes painted on the ceilings and walls within the building- so unique and an experience we will treasure. Cant wait to come back in the summer months! ciao, Siobahn & Tom.

This place is an absolute gem! In the middle of the amazing Umbria's countryside. The building is an old abbey, with several mini apartments and a communal area for breakfast/relaxing. The garden is very big and it has an area with tables and chairs, that can be used for dining or having a glass of wine or two. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Good continental breakfast.

One of the most picturesque and authentic experiences! Vibrant and idilyc atmosphere! The location was absolutely fantastic, amazing hosts who did everything to share with us some of the place' s magic. Can hardly wait to come back! Lots of hugs and good thoughts to the most beautiful people in this gorgeous Italian location.

It was a pleasure staying and this place and meeting the hosts Annalisa and Francesca. Very friendly and taking time for the guests. Easy check in and check out.
I liked it all. No complaints.

it’s a very special place, the former residence of a Roman cardinal and the proprietors honor it’s history. As old as the building is, they had the best Internet of any agriturismo we have stayed.

The building is absolutely amazing - the frescos are beautiful, so is the garden and all common spaces. The hosts are very wellcoming and happily share the story of the Abbazia.
The breakfast is tipical for almost all italian B&Bs - store bought cakes and tosted bread, The rooms could be soundproofed better. All in all still a great place to stay.

Absolutely gorgeous location. Building and grounds were beautiful. Breakfast was good.
Electricity and water weren't working when we arrived, but it was resolved within a couple of hours. More wifi coverage would be helpful.

Pristine surroundings. High ceilings.

The place was very beautiful with a lot of history and the hosts were friendly.
Breakfast was relatively ok. The only issue was that the room was a bit cold and the heating was not sufficient to warm the whole place.

The breakfastroom was an absolute delight! The frescos from 1570 and the antique furniture made us feel like royalty. We are more than grateful for the newly made cakes that was presented every morning, especially the kids!
Nothing could possible be better.
