We loved our stay

beautiful chateau with large spacious bedrooms, charming and helpful hosts, lovely pool area, great continental breakfast with fresh, local and homegrown produce. Special mention for the most wonderful golden retriever who we just wanted to take home!

the shower in our room (Duchess) didn’t have a bracket so it was handheld which meant water went everywhere and floor got wet. This could be easily fixed.

Wonderful breakfast with homemade jams and a choice of breakfast meats, breads, eggs and drinks. Lovely setting but recommend arriving during daylight as it's definitely off the beaten track. Hosts Sébastien and Adrian were great! A very special experience-

A special place with an informal atmosphere, blending style, comfort and a friendly welcome.

Characterful room with high ceiling and plenty of space. We liked the antique details - the huge armoire, pretty chest of drawers, little writing desk. Even though we arrived during a heatwave, it was possible to sleep well, closing shutters to keep out the sun by day, and opening up at night to harvest the cooler air. The hosts couldn't have been more welcoming. They accommodated my husband's dietary needs; they let us picnic in the evenings in the shade of the garden, they even chilled our wine for us. We felt like part of the family. The pool is lovely - deep and long enough to swim properly, as well as to have fun or simply cool off. We wanted to buy wine, and really appreciated Sebastian's recommendations. The resident dog, a beautiful golden retriever, was very friendly indeed. There was even a line on which to dry swim towels and kit. I'd say our stay was pretty near perfect.

Charming castle in the Loire

Beautiful castle, very well located, quiet but close to Saumur, nice swimming pool and stylish rooms. The owner was very charming and made us feel welcome, they even booked a restaurant for us with a vegetarian menu (unfortunately still rare in this part of France). super cute dog and cat were a bonus.

We've stayed at many places in France, and Chateau de Naze is definitely at the top of our list!

Sebastien and Celine, our hosts, were so warm and gracious. They went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed, gave us information about sites to see and restaurant suggestions. The chateau was amazing! The rooms were exceptionally clean and spacious. We felt like we were royalty! The location was perfect for making short day trips to places we wanted to see in the Loire Valley. The town of Saumur (only 5 min. away) had many wonderful French restaurants. Sebastien prepared a delicious breakfast for us each morning and served it so beautifully in the dining room. We definitely would stay with them again if we return to this region.

We loved our hosts and they were very welcoming and accommodating. They couldn’t have been any nicer. It was a great location with easy access by car and for visiting other areas in the region.

We had a very enjoyable stay in the Chateau . Madame made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed a very delicious quiche sitting outside the front of the Chateau ,it was a beautiful evening . Thank you very much

Warm welcome in an incredible setting

Chateau full of architectural gems and modern comforts. It has a moat and swimming pool basked in warm sun. Breakfast was very nice touch. Owners incredibly hospitable. Unforgettable stay.

Wonderfully decorated. The hostess/ owner, Mary-T was delighrfully nice and hospitable. We really felt at home. Breakfast was served at a beautifully set table. Beds were very comfortable.

Being tall, the shower was too low for me.

The château is very beautiful in a calm location. The room is so nice with all these furnitures... feel like royals for a night. We had an nice, peacefull night in the garden! The hostess is so kind, helpful and friendly lady!!The breakfast is very nice.

Magical place to stay

This is a real chateau with a moat, towers and all. My room was wonderful and tastefully decorated. A good breakfast is served in a room with a fireplace and beautifully painted wooden ceiling. With Saumur within ten minutes drive, it is a great place to explore the Loire valley. But most importantly, Marité is an exceptionally friendly and welcoming host, she made me feel like a friend rather than a hotel guest. I would love to be back one day!

Very good

The host was very welcoming and charming. She had good English, made us feel at home and gave dinner recommendations. Château de Nazé was beautifully decorated our room was nice and cool.

Liked everything but was expecting more food at breakfast.
